We've used Bellows for many years and for several (most all of) our home HVAC, electrical and plumbing projects. Our most recent project was the installation of a Moen Flo water leak detection device, a requirement of our new homeowner's insurance policy. The project required both electrical and plumbing work. The electrical work was completed by Alfredo Tovar. He was cheerful and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the electrical part of the project and to discuss options for where and how to place the new electrical service. His work was clean and tight. The plumbing part was completed by Richard Mettler. Likewise very upbeat and knowledgeable. He also clearly explained the install and reviewed all the work he performed for us at its completion. And when I called Bellows with a follow-up question later that same day, Richard promptly returned my call and answered my question. We will continue to use Bellows for our home infrastructure projects and ongoing maintenance/inspections (via their BAM program). This is ridiculous. Bellows is throwing a new employee under the bus, but as my review says, there were multiple employees involved with myself and others. Not cool. Bellows had a valid signed contract with a deposit. The contract didn't involve me at all. In fact the contract they unilaterally canceled was with someone else who had never criticized nor complained in any way, yet they vindictively took this action and haven't returned her deposit. There will be a complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau and civil action if they refuse to return the deposit in full. They didn't bother to notify the customer that they were abrogating their contract until after contacting the contractor as he was on his way to meet with them. This is a horrible petty outfit willing to illegally cancel valid contracts just because they couldn't handle valid criticism due to their own mistakes. In fairness the actual workers there seem responsive and capable. The front office and management is a complete disaster. read more

03/18/2026: After the 4th or 5th time after a new installation my AC stopped working today due to the overflow pan filling with water in my attic. Not only has this repeatedly cost my family and I time to standby while Bellows attempted to fix this, but now I'm buying supplies to fix this problem myself. The glue they applied failed and by not taping two sides of the insulation, they could have prevented it from falling onto the cooling fins. Check out the photos and see for yourself. Also check out their code fix for screwing the drain support to the floor. The pictures speak for themselves. With the heat wave here, go with a different company! And to recap prior to this, they would not sell me an AC unit without their "membership" included, which I did not want, so we renegotiated the price. A year later they violated California's auto renewal law and charged my debit card. After contacting the BBB and my bank they refunded the unauthorized charge. read more

You had a tech come out to look at my furnace. I was told I had an expensive repair and really needed a new furnace. He gave me estimates between 6k-9k. And rattled on forever with small talk. I was charged $189 just for him to come out. . When I called someone else he said I only needed a thermostat and promptly installed one for $180. $10 less than your estimate. I want my $189 back. What a scam. Don't ever use Bellows for your furnace or AC needs! Just tried to sell me a new furnace!! read more

I want to thank and salute Bellows Plumbing, Heating, and Air for its terrific work and outstanding staff. From now on I would not consult any other plumbing contractor. The first technician who visited, Peter Cornwell, could not have done a finer job. I needed an assessment of the main sewer line to the street. Peter ran a camera and showed me the extent of its compromise. Not all plumbers will include video images. And the estimate he gave me was half of what another company proposed. Peter solved another issue, a clogged kitchen sink. That was also quick and efficient. The work of digging for a new sewer-lateral connection to the street and installing a new pipe from the house began on schedule. The lead technician, Christopher Hayes, was thorough in explaining and describing every step of the process. And it was a VERY big job. The digging to make connections was done with a minimum of displacement in the yard, even though it was dep enough to go under a large tree. Everything was done quickly, expertly, and quite cleanly, Every bit of backfill was taken care of. Also the crew that did the slurry and asphalt repair in the street is first-rate. The office staff, via e-mail, text, and telephone could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Thanks to everyone. read more

I do not recommend. Seems like they just want to sell you a new furnace. Recommended we spend $1700 to replace an electrical board with no guarantee it would fix the issue. Or simply replace or 15 year old furnace. We moved on to another company who charged 1/2 of what Bellows charges to evaluate AND found the issue - a dead bird blocking air flow - and within 40 mins and $270 our furnace was working! read more

Signed up for Bellows BAM program. Was able to take advantage of most of their services under the program, which is a pretty good deal. Best of all, I had to replace a leaky faucet, which turned out to be problematic, but Josh Diaz came out, twice, and took care of the issues without too much fuss. He, a) assessed the situation to make recommendations, and b) he replaced the old, leaky, rusted in place, faucet without damaging anything else and did it in the time promised. Wasn't easy for him, but he was professional, honest and addressed impromptu situations head on. read more

Would like to give a shout out to Saul, a plumber for Bellows Plumbing, Heating and Air who came to snake out our clean trap that extends from the main bathroom. He was knowledgeable, courteous and professional while cleaning out a messy drain due to people flushing wipes and paper towels (!) down the toilet. The home is a vacation house. Saul also advised us of possible future plumbing concerns and will follow up with an estimate to fix those concerns. I had problem with the heater problem. Technician Ryan, came over and fixed problem quickly. He had to replace capacitor. So it took him less then one hour to diagnose and repair the heater. I was charged $539.00. Problem is with management. I was told that I will receive $150 discount for diagnosis. But never received discount. So I am happy with the technicians knowledge and technical skill. But not happy with communication with the management. One more thing, capacitor should not have cost me $350.00. They sell for around $20 on Amazon. This company is mixed bag. I have had some very good experience in the past. Most of the technicians are very good at what they do. I am not so happy with the management. read more

They came out super quick to get me a quote when my gas water heater died on me. I was hoping to swap to a heat pump water heater, which meant I needed a new subpanel because my breaker panel didn't have room for another breaker. The plumber was super friendly, found a heat pump water heater that met my needs, but the quote only included running a 240v line from the panel to the water heater. It didn't include the subpanel even after I mentioned that I needed it multiple times. I was told I'd have to have an electrician come out and quote that for me. The quote for a heat pump water heater, 240v line, and condensate pump was $12500 not including the subpanel ($8800 for just the water heater and labor). I actually felt pretty confident they'd do a good job, but the price was really high for the work that was being done. I ended up pulling permits myself, doing the electrical work myself, and hiring a plumber to do the water heater. The labor and materials for the water heater with another company (and a comparable water heater to what was quoted) came to $3200 - less than half of what was quoted by Bellows. Including permits and materials for the DIY'ed portion, it was about $4500 all in. Like I said, everyone was friendly, they were very prompt, and I don't doubt they'd do a good job on the work, but the quoted prices have pretty hefty mark-ups. read more
