I paid 32.00 to get a down comforter dry cleaned .when I picked it up I was going to put it away however I opened the plastic wrap and it was WET. good thing I opened it or it would have been completely ruined . I called and complained he told me to bring it in .. I already put it in my dryer so I told him I would not make another trip to his place . he did not offer to refund my charges BAD SERVICE AND THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TME .. before they lost t something. I was desperate to do laundry away from home because our 2 yr old GE washer died at home. My father is dying at home in hospice care. We do laundry every day. I came here today what a completely disappointing experience. This place is filty... The toilet is backed up, the one trash can was filled , the floor needed a good sweep and mopping. Disgraceful for Sun City Residents, Sun City Laundromat and Cleaners. Authorities need to address the unclean and lack of proper upkeep for those who unfortunately need a laundromat but have low income to go elsewhere. Shame on this owner/operator for lack of a clean and safe business for the elderly, homeless souls, a struggling young families in the area. One machine that I personally witnessed cheated (rigged maybe) a woman and charged her an extra dollar for the machine. I needed my husbands white shirt pressed same day (my fault I lost track of time for a planned event). I called the cleaners and they were able to accommodate me and press my husbands shirt in about 2 hours. so appreciated and I will be coming here for any of our dry cleaning needs! I used the laundromat area here yesterday, not only was the facility dirty, barley any seating, majorly super hot in there, no carts to take clothes from washers to dryers for the elderly. Tables for folding clothes are falling apart. Door is left wide opened on 115 degree days. I will find another laundromat, I came home from there with major migraine from being over heated. It's not a safe place for seniors to do laundry, due to it being so overly hot in there. read more

The place is completely dirty and unsafe for anyone. We electrical active outlets plug in on the back of the washer machines with water leaking a inch way from the outlet and it is ridiculously dangerous and stupid. Half of the machines are broken. Mold is build up everywhere. Walls are disgusting, floor is sticky, and on top of that. The owner has all fans and ac turned off and a good mix of the dryers and Arizona's heat. Is not a good mix at all and can be really humid inside. The hours for the establishment doesn't make sense either. Would NOT recommend this place at all. read more

I've had a few things dry cleaned or altered here and I couldn't be happier. The gentleman who I believe owns the shop has always been very nice to me and gives me pretty quick service. They have even given me rush service getting something sewn on which I was super grateful for. The price is reasonable and the turnaround time is adequate. Happy to have found this place. read more

I expected something clean and quiet considering his is located in Sun City. I only use a laundromat for my king size comforter and I normally go to Suds but they were closed so I figured I'd give this place a try. It's disgusting inside. The facility and machines are dirty. I mean caked in filth dirty. The machines are also over priced compared to Suds. I won't be back. read more

I didn't give more than 2 stars because yes, it could've been a little bit better, but the last time I was here was when I was having issues with my machine... this was probably 3-4 years ago, and I noticed one of the reviews was from 2014. I had no problem using the dryer(s) when I had a non-working one. All I did was ask if I could use the dryers even though I hadn't used the washer. I explained my situation. They said IF there was no one using the washers then yes I could... That's it. Courtesy begets courtesy. read more

Dry Cleaning Side I have been coming to them for years. Their services are acceptable, but they do not go out of their way to please. They probably only have one employee working at a time. And sometimes it's just their children. They have lost clothes of mine before. Again I keep coming back, But today was it. After waiting around for 8 min before finally seeing someone only to be walked by without even being acknowledged, that was it. I come here Because they are the closest to me, even though their prices are high. They barely deserve two stars, but i'm giving it to them. I'm never coming again I would have told them that they lost a loyal customer due to lack of service- but there was no one to tell it to. Nothing/no one to even stop me or anyone else from walking up and taking whatever one wanted and walking out. Don't come here. read more

I've only used the Sun City Cleaners once. I took in my Santa suit to be cleaned and my advice to anyone looking for a place to take their Santa suit is to totally avoid this place. I've had my suit for 15 seasons all up in the Seattle area and have had my suit cleaned before each season. The white fur as always come back nice and soft. Not this time!! The white fur is now in firm clumps that feel rough to the touch and not soft. If you value your Santa suit take it somewhere else. read more

I've been to this cleaner at least five times and each time I go back because I want to support a small business owner. Every time I am disappointed. The last two times unfortunately made my decision clear that I won't be returning. - Chemical residue was left in the reaction with my skin - Clothes never ready when promised. I dropped off four pairs of pants on Monday and they were promised on Thursday. When I went to pickup my clothes- on Friday none of them were ready. The guy said that his father was feeling ill and was unable to finish my clothes. I understood that, he told me to come back Tuesday. The next time I dropped off 3 pairs of pants and came back over a week later and the father/son owners went to the back for a few min. and father came back to tell me they weren't ready. 2 of 3 were ready. After getting home i put the pants on and immediately started to itch...they felt like there was a chemical residue left on the inside of my pants. I took them off and it was a white powdery substance which had a terrible reaction with my skin. I asked the person at the place and he said that he didn't know why that would happen. read more

This is for the Dry Cleaning portion, not the laundry mat. I took two comforters to be dry cleaned, price was average at $25 each. Went out of town to return to mistake in banking. Was charged $238.49. Which of course created lots of $5 charges as I kept using my debit card. $5 fee each time to have money automatically transferred from over draft to checking. Called to let them know. Didn't hear back, called back, my phone number was lost. Took about a week total to get the money credited back. At least it was credited back. I know mistakes happen... I was surprised that they didn't offer any sort of compensation. Had to still pay the $50. Luckily the bank credited the $5 fees back. Won't be using them again. read more

I gave this place 1 star, because you cannot write a review with out rating. 1 star is being generous. This place is filthy, I wasn't even able to fold my comforters, because the folding tables were filthy. All the soap dispenser for the washing machines were grudge . The floors look like they have never even been swept. They don't even have laundry baskets for you to use, you would think with this laundromat being located in a senior community, that they would have the baskets. Wow what an awful place I will not be returning. And I highly recommend that you don't use this laundromat. read more

My mother and I went to this laundry mat because we figured it would be nice and quiet since it is located in Sun City. Oh boy were we wrong... First thing first, I walked into this place and a good number of machines where not working, but hey there was one other person in there so I didn't mind. I began loading up machines and starting my laundry, one of the washing machines were open when I started loading it up with my clothing, so as i finished putting in my clothes, detergent, and quarters into the machine, I closed the lid and noticed it had a piece of tape on it saying "Out of Order". At that point i went over to the dry cleaning side and let the young man know what had happened, he informed a older gentleman (who i'm sure is his father). Anyway the older man opened the machine and gave me back my money. I switched everything into another machine and pushed in the quarters but for some reason it didn't work. So i let the owner know again... and at this point he came over to me and informed me that he has cameras in the laundry and will be looking at the footage. I was SO offended, like this man basically accused of me committing LAUNDRY FRAUD. I let him know that he can sit and look at the surveillance all he wants, and that i haven't stolen anything or done anything. He than put the money back into my machine and pushed it and the machine worked. I am assuming that he pushed it really hard which made it work, but when i did it I did not jam it like he did. (since i was trying to gentle with the machines because they are not my property... this is how i am with stuff that don't belong to him. After that I just waited for my laundry to finish and i met his wife and began to explain to her what had happened and how rude her husband was, to accuse me of doing something illegal without even knowing anything about. She had informed me that they were robbed a couple days ago and he was on edge, but still that is not a valid excuse in my opinion to be bias against anyone. His wife does seem to be a very nice lady, she unlike him, was very polite and courteous. Until you have caught someone in the action they are truly innocent, and I was VERY offended by that. Earlier when my mother and I walked into the laundromat my mother found a check that was addressed to the owner and brought it right away to him. So for this man to make the assumption that I am some kind of thief was APPALLING. I will not be returning to this establishment and will be taking my laundry elsewhere. His machines where over priced as well as his plastic garbage bags... 75 cents for one garbage bag...... FRIGGING RIDICULOUS OH and yes the bathroom is disgusting, it smells like urine and the door doesn't close. read more

I just came back from Sun City Cleaners. Laundromat side. OUCH! Paid $8.50 to clean my fairly new mattress pad. The place is dirty, exorbitantly pricey and little if any air conditioning. Their large washing machine tore up my mattress pad to shreds. Asked for my money back and the owner/manager started yelling at me. He said I came in on my free will and what does it have to do with him. I was accused of having an attitude and he knew I was a problem when I walked in. He was in my personal space; had to ask him to back away. To all the women out there; beware. I did tell him to never talk to women in that tone of voice again. But he wins. He has my money and I am out of my expensive Macy's mattress pad. read more

This cleaners ruined 3 of my expensive silk blouses & 2 pairs of my husbands slacks. He said he has been in business for 33 years, so it's a manufacturers problem. He refused to take responsibility for stretching them. He said I should have the company take care of it. They fit until he had them. Will never go to him again. Don Clayborn, owner, refused to listen to what I told him. These blouses have been dry cleaned at other cleaners before. There was no problem with them. He was rude & disrespectful to me. The business was messy. While I was there he had a little boy waiting on people when they came in. The boy wasn't wanting to work. He should have been outside playing on such a nice day. I took in two afghans that I had made for Christmas gifts. I discussed with the owner that I wanted them cleaned and blocked. He seemed to know what I was wanting. They were ready the day before Christmas Eve. OK. A child waited on me. The price for the two was $35+. As I was walking to the car, I thought something was off with them. First, he had them hanging on hangers instead of folded. The afghan that had fringes had been so 'handled' that the yarn was coming frayed. The other wool afghan had been shrunk and stretched out of shape. I went back in, mad. The kid got the man. I explained the problem, getting madder at the minute. He told me that he had someone that could 're-make' them for me. Told him that wasn't the point. Long story short, he gave me my money back. Big deal! I was able to trim the fringe, but the wool afghan was ruined. I wish there was less than one star to give! read more

I was in the laundry side. It could use a good cleaning and perhaps mold removal experts as well. My story is I was washing in one of their less than clean machines. It was making a loud knocking noise. I thought it was odd. Got up to get more quarters and good thing I did because my machine literally exploded, glass flying everywhere! I could have been seriously injured because I was sitting directly in front of the machine. I got the young man from the cleaners side, showed him what happened. He called Don, the owner who told him to inform me to leave a few of my clothing items because they had been cut from the glass. I did that. I called Don the next day since he didn't phone me. He never once asked if i was okay, or showed any concern that my clothes had been damaged. He started talking about how his customers are costing him money because they damage his equipment and deface his property. He told me that he barely makes a living on the laundry and that if I wanted to consider compensation, I'd have to leave more items of clothing. Why would I do that, since he told me that the couple items I'd left looked as though they were not cut from the glass but was naturally frayed from age. Seriously? A good business person would have at least apologized for the inconvenience to me. I had to throw that load of clothing away because they had glass shards and I wasn't going to take the chance to get injured. This place should be inspected by the Health Department. The restroom is a nightmare and shouldn't be open to the public. I can't believe that such a dirty business can exist in Sun City. read more
