The only reason why I come here to get my blood drawn is because it's in the same building as my doctor. And the lady at the front desk is so rude and loud. I totally understand working at a clinic can be a pain but that doesn't mean you have to be rude to us who are the patients/customers. Earlier today, I walked in to get my blood drawn and didn't know that I need to have this specific health insurance card in order to have my blood drawn. And she said in the loudest voice to me while there were other people behind and around me. "Hey you get over hear and listen to me". While others were around me lol almost looks like this lady is giving us a lecture because they were all looking and listening. I wouldn't recommend coming to this location at all. read more

Thankfully,,my experience with this location was great! I arrived on 9/29/22~Thursday, around 11:30-12pm & there was only 2 people ahead of me:) The wait was about 15 ish minutes & the blood drawn was completed within 5 minutes..The phlebotomist gal was very friendly & nice, as well as the receptionist! If you send out good vibes with a positive attitude, it'll be reciprocated;) My arm has no bruising(& I usually bruise easily) . I only felt a small pinch & it left a small,normal mark on my arm!Yay,, Great job! Thank YoU & God bless!! FYI: Parking was easy for me(got a spot up front). Also,The parking lot is open to drive North-through to the left side, where another building is located & more parking is available. The lab is on the third floor #311. Super rude ladies here, yelling at patients, really bad service. Honestly 0 stars for them. I've been to other Sun labs and they were calm.

Conveniently located in the same office as one of my doctors, however their customer service is lacking. Note, they don't abide by their stated hours. After they sent me back to my doctor for an authorization, I came back 10 minutes prior to closing and the door was already closed and locked. Today I went to drop a specimen off at this location at 500 Garfield Ave. in Monterey Park I knew the hours were 1 to 2 for lunch . I arrived at 12:50 to drop off specimen doors are locked. No signs why ? Knock on the door , Young Hispanic, woman opens the door I said are you closed? She said yes were closed for lunch. I said it says open till 1 o'clock. Why are you closed at 12:50? She says we close at 12:50 so we can get cleaned up. I state it should state on the sign 1245 instead of 1:00 . She responds to me rudely with lots of attitude " you can go somewhere else I don't know what to tell ya we're closed." I asked her her name she walked away without a response I work in healthcare. If I had one of my employees made a comment to a patient such as this ithey would be reprimanded and written up Looking at the reviews seems frequent to have rude comments to patients. Don't go here if you want to get your blood test results fast. They said that my results would be sent to me in 5-7 days when I got it done. I called them today and they said that its actually 1-2 weeks now. Even though each day I called, and they said that in 7 days they would have it. I need this blood result to get my medication approved from my doctor, but they are taking way too long; to the point where I have to go to another office to draw blood again, because this lab is way too slow. read more

Plenty of parking if you come around 8 am when the lab clinic opens. Wait time was about 30 minutes as there were people before me, 10 people. Be sure to have your blood work paper from your doctor, insurance card and ID ready to handle over to the receptionist. From there, it was like a 5 minutes wait until going to the exam room. I ended up choosing Sun Clinical Laboratories and as many people have mentioned on here during the covid times... long wait, terrible attitudes and provided no options when I have my ID number but switched insurances and waiting on a new card. Horrible ‼ I went to the 500 Sun Clinical Lab draw station at 4:10PM on a Tuesday. To be exact, 50 mins before the closing time at 5:00PM. I was the only client in the office. I walked to the front desk. There was a Hispanic lady by herself ( Not Lizette. Lizette is nice and professional). I told the lady I was there to pay cash for my lab work which was done the day before. She told me she was not going to take any payment and I need to pay at the headquarter which is located in El Monte. She turned away from me and ignored me. I explained to her calmly that I got a call from the billing Dept 20 mins ago that I can pay at this location. Then she started to raise her voice and give me a mad look and told me " Leave The Office Now" I was shocked at the time. I told her the staffs from her lab told me on the phone just 20 mins ago to stop by at this location to pay. She repeated " Leave The Office Now" " You Are Not Allow To Stay Here" "Go Outside " I'm so upset being treated like this as a honest patient there to pay for the service. She's Very Rude and Unprofessional to clients ! I really hope the Sun Clinical Lab management team will see all these posts and complaints! It's a no frills lab that takes your blood and you go use the building's restroom to do your business. The LVN took my paperwork and took my blood. She didn't bruise my arm and answered all my questions. The place looked a little dusty but where the tubes were located it looked clean so no contamination there. read more

Terrible wait line! Waited over an hour and a half. When I first came with my mom there was around 8 people in line. It takes over 15 minutes for each person to get their name called. The lady at the front desk is very rude and unprofessional. Raising her voice and yelling at people when they tried to ask her a question. At least listen to their question first before telling them to get out and go back to stand in line. There is no line at that time anyway. Very short staff and unprofessional. If I can give them a 0 star then I will because of the rudeness bxs toward patients. I was there this Sat morning at 745 and there was already a long line I must be the 20th in ljne as soon as 8 o clock hit, the door opened and they let everyone in, eveyrone has to sign their names and then they get called and hand the receiptionust your insurance card, Id and lab sheet. (Pretty good system, I must say) i set my stopwatch to time how long it will take for me and to my surprise i was done in 22 mins Cathy drew a lot of blood from me and even asked if I am ok since she drew a lot( soooo thoughtful and caring) and the receptionist is very cheerful even though the waiting room is full My experience was very pleasant and I just admire these 2 workers for their attitude and their diligence They were able to get patients in and out in no time read more

I wish there was a 0 star option, i would've picked it. Do not go to this lab! The Hispanic girl there that draws blood doesn't know what shes doing. I told her ahead of time that I was a hard stick because face it, I've had my blood drawn hundreds of times, I know. But she insists on finding her own vein instead of heeding my advice and she sticks me in a vein i KNEW wasnt going to provide enough blood for the many tests I needed done. So she sticks the needle in and the blood flows like molasses... very slow... and what does she do? She starts FISHING (pulling the needle out partly and sticking it back in and moving it in all different directions) She does this for a good minute or two... and has all tubes done, I don't even think she gets enough blood for my tests anyway... but then when I leave and take the bandaid off, I have this HUGE hematoma, the whole venipuncture site that she drew blood from is already bruising and HARD and swollen like I got some nasty allergy to a mosquito bite. Just FYI... phlebotomists should ALL know that FISHING in veins are no longer allowed by the national phlebotomy association. Don't go to this lab if you don't want these medical assistants to disregard protocol and potentially damage your arm, just saying. I know all this because I'm a licensed phlebotomist. If i could I would have just drew my own blood, but that wasn't possible so I ended up being a victim of bad bedside manners and incompetent nurses. read more

After drawing blood, the staff fails to tell people to keep pressure on the needle wound for 15 minutes, which causes blood to leak out. As a result of that staff failure, you get big bruises that damage a huge amount of cells and tissues in your arm around the needle wound. This failure is very substandard, very bad, which indicates staff lacks professional training. Avoid this place. Go other places for blood drawing. read more

The people working at this location fail to follow simple instructions. My dad has had his lab work done here multiple times for convenience. They never fax the results to his doctors as stated on the labs. They say that the doctor has to call in for the results. Doctors don't have that much time to be making those calls.
