Service includes petit croissants that were warmed just right, there is a decent wine list. Not too cramped, touches of French country styling for the ambience. We ordered the boeuf borguignon, steak frites and a salad of tomatoes and mozzarella. The steak, though sliced thinner than the usual chunk, came as ordered at medium well with ample au poivre sauce and well seasoned fries. The boeuf borg was fork tender, a little heavy on the wine but perfect nonetheless. All dishes were perfect in terms of portions (not too small), the finesse and the flavor profiles tempered just right. After 6 hours of driving from LA to Phoenix and another 2 hours looking at houses, this was the perfect early dinner. The service was professionally pleasant and unobtrusive. To top it all, we declined dessert but they sent us complementary pots de crème and a small slice of cake and it was excellent. One must go, and more often. If I had time I would go for another meal of foies gras and coq au vin and a side of trout. And then there's still the restaurant to try. Oh my.

It would have been nice if our server had mentioned the price of the Dover dole on the specials menu. While we knew it would be expensive, $70 (before tax and tip) seems a little high for eating in a bistro. The room looked very dated and plain, but, as I said, the food was excellent. At the same time, I don't think it's a very good value for the money. A couple of glasses of wine and two entrées were over $300 with tax and tip. Pricey, to be overlooking a parking lot! We won't be going back to the Bistro.

Everything about the evening felt intentional, from the pacing of the meal to the service to the incredible sunset views overlooking the city. The space itself is stunning, with sleek glass walls, an open kitchen, and a retractable roof that makes the whole experience feel immersive without being over the top. You can tell Chef Christopher Gross has mastered the art of fine dining while still keeping it approachable. The staff struck that perfect balance too..polished and attentive without ever feeling stiff or overly formal. This is definitely a special occasion restaurant, but honestly, the atmosphere alone makes it worth experiencing at least once. Between the views, the wine program, and the attention to detail throughout the night, it feels like one of the few places in Phoenix that delivers a true dining experience instead of just a good meal. If you go, book around sunset.

My husband and I had this on our list for the longest time and I wish we would have come sooner. The tasting menu with wine pairing is the way to go. The pacing is completely to you and I found a lot of comfort in courses coming out once we were ready - it didn't feel rushed! All the food was beautifully plated and flavor profiles with textures were through the roof! It was a beautiful blend of seasonal flavors! The wine selection was also a wow-factor and complemented the courses nicely. The views were incredible at sunset and I loved how the setting sun changed the landscape of the valley. The bathroom is a must go to. The service was also incredible - Bryan was a phenomenal complement to the restaurant and Chef Chris. I loved how this fine dining establishment was not stuffy or stiff. I felt I could talk to each employee authentically! Highly recommend!

Fennel, dill and acid. I would re-order. I had some of my friend's beet and burrata. I liked the combo of beets and burrata but it also tasted Fennel forward and after the hamachi crudo I didnt want more Fennel. I would not re-order. The shrimp tartine was good, but i wouldnt re-order. The steak tartare I was just ok with. Somewhat bland. Needed more seasoning. Would not re-order. My friend got the ribs and only had one because he was getting ahards of ribs. He gave me one. I didn't have that experience, but didnt care for the glaze. I detected tomato or ketchup forward and I don't care for ketchup. The meat was tender and moist, though. I had a bite of my friend's bread pudding. It had cinnamon and apples and vanilla ice cream. It was good. FYI no liquor - beer and wine only. Good beer selection. The waiters were good but the hostess was fairly rude, making a big deal about the size of our group and referencing how we were going to disturb other guests by staff having to re-arrange tables or make guests feel rushed to leave by us waiting. That alone was a turn-off to make us not want to return. We were on the patio and the weather was nice. Not much indoor seating, so I wonder how they stay busy in the summer. I wouldn't want to return in the summer and have to eat outside in the hot months.

First, love all the fruits they incorporated in different dishes, which were all delicious. You can tell their fruit came from local farms, which carried great aroma. Their duck was well cooked too! There were a lot of things going on on the plate but at least, the skin was crispy and the meat was juicy. The dessert was the highlight of the whole meal - it was creamy, not too heavy with a perfect balance of sweetness and fruitiness. However, the other dishes were just alright. The flavor of the salad was quite bland, and husband found the stem end of the tomato in the salad. The croissant was a bit doughy. Husband also ordered a beef Wellington, which was just ok (forgot to take a photo) - the beef was cooked well but the pastry outside was a bit saggy. We appreciated all the great ingredients used here. But given the price we paid for this meal (around $200) and the good things we heard about this place, we just don't think this worth the value.

This time we added a caviar bump, which took this delectable appetizer to another level. For our main course, we both prefer a filet with the au poivre sauce and seared foie gras. She was so easy to talk to, shared some personal experiences and learnings, was extremely knowledgeable about menu items and ingredients, and had great recommendations. During our experience, a delivery service person was talking loudly on speakerphone and the owner Roman asked him to talk on his phone outside. I really appreciated Roman caring about his customers and preserving the ambiance and environment inside his establishment. I felt valued as a customer. The food was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. We tried the bone broth - great flavor, perfect saltiness, and fresh herbs, escargot - very generous portion with paleo bread, stuffed mushrooms - huge chunks of crab, Friday special 24 oz bone in ribeye with root veggie augratin and veggies, crème caramel and caramel ice cream. The desserts were perfectly sweetened with monk fruit and so thick and creamy. I personally don't like the taste or aftertaste of dairy and sugar and these were so wonderful with none of that weird stuff! Our visit ended with a chat with Roman who shared about his health journey and what led him to this lifestyle, plant paradoxes, and tons of fun topics and facts about diet and lifestyle and how food is medicine. Very thoughtful and engaging conversation. Will definitely be back soon and possibly try the meal prep option some time!

I even chose to spend Mother's Day here this year because it has always been one of my favorite local spots. Over the years, we've brought our small 12-pound bichon on several occasions and comfortably dined on the patio without issue. Unfortunately, during today's visit, we were told that animals are no longer allowed on the patio and were instead directed to sit on the metal benches in front of the restaurant ...benches that had no table space and clearly were not set up for dining. What made the experience disappointing wasn't necessarily the policy itself, but the way it was handled. As longtime patrons who have supported this restaurant regularly for years to be on a regular basis with staff, the interaction felt dismissive and honestly a little offensive. It was surprising to feel so unwelcome at a place we've consistently supported and recommended to others. I still value this restaurant and appreciate the many good experiences we've had here over the years, which is why this visit was especially disappointing. I hope management takes customer loyalty and consistency of service more seriously moving forward.
