    French Onion Soup
    Steve B.

Always willing to branch out and try new places and this one intrigued us with its menu. Maybe our palate's weren't ready for paleo foods just yet or weren't refined enough because we just didn't enjoy the evening / dinner. SPAM rating: Service 5/10 Price 4/10 Ambiance 4/10 Meal 3/10 Lamb shank was a little dry, but the sauce it was serviced with was the best thing we had. Onion soup was too sweet (understanding that onions when caramelized are sweet, but this was more than that like sugar was added) and had little beef flavor. Tip - you're charged to add cheese Sweet potatoes (yams) were dry, rubbery and lacked any flavor. Almost as if they were parboiled and reheated in the microwave. Didn't taste any vanilla maple glaze, just limp rubber potatoes. Bruschetta topping was ok, just not a fan of the paleo bread since it was neither toasted or enjoyable to eat. Filet Mignon was cooked great, but I'm sorry, that didn't taste like beef at all and could not recommend it.

New temporary menu- lots of amazing choices!

Update: insult to injury. During his rude and insanely abrupt response last week that he would refund the item but 'not to return again'. Jaw dropped truly by this experience. I am adding to my previous review. I did not ask for a refund. What I wanted was a private conversation to correct the repeated overcharging for an add on which I was not receiving so I wouldn't have to leave a review like this. I've been gone for business travel so checked with my credit card billing to see if I had been refunded for this item. I had not. An opportunity where you could've at least kept your word for your nastiness, but you didn't. To be very clear, this is not about a hamburger. This is about how you treat customers who have supported your business for years. I felt very compelled to share this experience publicly after two opportunities to course correct- neither of which you chose.

Chef's Vegan special of the day, fantastic and huge

I love this restaurant and when I am in town I always try to make it here. This time I had the Chef's vegan selection which was amazing, at least a dozen different vegetables blended together perfectly with an interesting, possible coconut infused sauce. The veggies were so fresh, the server said they are selected from the local farmer's market.

Really unique place. Paleo based (which is not something I would normally seek out) with French I fluence and BYOB w minimal corkage fee. A quaint local spot with surprisingly large portions and elevated cuisine. I had the veggie plate which is quite literally a mix of everything the chef has in the kitchen so I had a mix of cauliflower soup, stuffed squash, mixed veggies. My husband enjoyed his French onion soup and duck. I was pleasantly surprised with this unassuming place.

Roman and Arroe coming out to meet my guest. Wonderful hospitality!!

Unreal!! Paleo French? What?!! Tucked in a strip mall. Hmm. Magic happens in the kitchen. Wow. So good we went 2 nights in a row with out of town guests. Meatloaf, steak, Rabbit, lamb oh my! Roman and Arroe are awesome. Love it.

    Complimentary dessert from the chef/owner.

I have been wanting to come here for so long and I live across the street from this restaurant, but I kept forgetting. I'm glad that I finally went for dinner recently with my French. friend. This restaurant is not cheap, but the food was phenomenal. The chef/owner cooks the meal with love and compassion, it shows in the flavor of the food and quality. This is not the place for dinner if you are in hurry because it took awhile for our meal to be ready. Since my French friend knows the chef/owner, we got a dessert complimentary and it was wow. I ordered roasted chicken and it was excellent. Since this is paleo restaurant, the food wasn't heavy at all and you feel good after you eat your meal. The waiter was very nice and he made sure that we had a good service. We loved the music, Amel Bent was playing in the background. J'aime beaucoup le poulet rôti, merci!

Someone recommended this restaurant to me and I'm sure glad they did! I came here on a Friday night with a friend. Around 6pm they were at their busiest and by 8pm we were the only ones left. The restaurant is in a plaza and has plenty of parking. There is a nice view of the mountains from the restaurant as a bonus. The atmosphere is very quaint. The service was good, a little slow so plan to be here awhile. Now onto the food. It was delicious! Healthy and fresh, but very tasty and not plain. I was very impressed. It is a little pricey for the serving size, but to be expected when eating gluten free/paleo. The dessert was also delicious but for $10 I would have hoped for a bigger portion of ice cream. It was literally 2 bites (I wanted more because it was so good). The crumble they used was a bit dry and needed the ice cream to add moisture, however there wasn't enough ice cream to do so. I cannot wait to come back and try more items on the menu! I want to try everything it all sounds so good!

A great way to end the week by having dinner here on a Fry-yah evening. Went here with a Pal and glad that she found this place, as we often enjoy trying new places regardless of how far away we drive to them. The location has a beautiful sight of the Mountains and the inside is very quaint and peaceful. Oro, an owner/employee, was amazing as she came out to greet us and let us know more about the food and it's preparation which was a very sweet gesture. She's so nice! We didn't request it but she was friendly and had no idea I would review them. Just a note! Shows how friendly she was. I had no idea that they didn't use sugar nor dairy until Ora explained, which is why, this made it even more awesome because, although, the food didn't cater to the sugar and dairy...I could not tell!!! Loved it!!! We arrived at 6 but didn't get our food for a very long time, thinking that Jenny, our waitress forgot about us. We were seeing other humans come in after us, and leaving way before us... that part was a little irritating to be honest. ‍ If you're planning on going, prepare to be here a while but part of me is like, you can't rush perfection although, people were in and out ...so the other part of me was irritated like... sheesh! ‍‍ You could tell that whomever the cooks were, that they put their love into preparation because, it was all yummy. I don't eat "good for you" meaning ( I eat sugar, gluten and dairy products)so, for me to say that this place was AWESOME is saying A LOT!!! ... Again, NO ONE WOULD EVER KNOW that it's gluten, sugar and dairy free... That's how FANTASTIC it is!!! The mushroom(s) were good but, I seen a photo in which, 2 were served so I expected 2 but, when I received only 1, I asked Jenny, (waitress) about it and she explained that it depends on the size of the mushrooms. Mine was a nice sized one but I felt a little thrown off not getting 2. The lemonade with sparkling water was tasty ... I was sad that they weren't refills though. The filet mignon was great although, I prefer medium well but,( not bloody) but it was more done than, I wanted...it was still GREAT! The presentation of all of the dishes were set up BEAUTIFULLY One of the chefs who brung out the dishes, put his heart and soul into delivery as well. Believe me he handles with care. (reminded me of salt bae... if you know, you know) The apple desert was very very good but the teeny scoop of ice cream wasn't enough... they should have at least add 2- 3 teeny scoops of the non dairy ice cream on top, as the dish, needed more moisture for the crumble on top, to set the taste pallet to comfort. Very good dish overall though. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND AND WILL DEFINITELY RETURN. Tell Jenny and Ora that I sent ya As usual, there's plenty of free parking. Side note: I do think that the restaurant needs a more upscale building with patio seating because the view is breathtaking and even if they were set up with wide open doors with patio seating, it would make a great spot for date night or a evening out with pals. The restaurant is upscale by its presentation and deserves an upscale building where you're able to soak in the breath taking views while eating these well prepared dishes. I had to sit straight up in my chair to enjoy the view Even, if they didn't move to a new building, at least, move to the other end of the building and install patio seating with mist. You're not utilizing the beauty of the location to match the food. Just my opinion ‍‍‍

It's BYOB! Yay $15 corking fee. Love that!

I was seeking an iced tea before picking my daughter up from school and popped in to check it out. I found a fair selection of beverages as well as checked out their supplements, produce and so many other fresh, organic, vegan + other products too. The staff was friendly and helpful. The store itself has a bit of a weird layout and seems like it could use a renovation, but the current state adds to the hippy, natural, co-op feel. I found a kombucha and made a mental note to return to support this business in the future! They have quite the history and while there are many competitors in the area, I love supporting more local, family owned businesses. Unfortunately, I've discovered that the supplements I have been buying there are not just a "few cents" higher than other stores. I was charged $60+ for a Probiotic, and the Saw Palmetto I recently purchased was $7.90 higher than two other stores. I feel there must be a considerable mark up on products and it's taking advantage of their consumers. A woman at the farm attempted to aggressively gaslight me, screamed over me while I was trying to speak, refused to issue a refund for services not rendered, and arbitrarily canceled my active subscription without my consent. To top it off, right before hanging up on me, I heard her laughing to her coworker in the background saying, "I'm not talking to her!" That tells you everything you need to know about the maturity level and character of the trashy people running this place. I am officially reporting this business to the BBB and filing a chargeback with my bank. If you are considering subscribing to this CSA, save yourself the money, the headache, and the wasted gas. *********************************************************** If you are considering subscribing to this CSA, save yourself the money, the headache, and the wasted gas. Blue Sky Organic Farms loves to lean into the warm, fuzzy narrative of "local farm" and "community-supported agriculture," but their actual operation is a complete joke. What good is supporting local if the Folx running it don't actually know how to be in community? Over the course of trying to get basic information regarding my weekly pickup, I reached out through every single channel provided: the designated CSA line, the farm store number, Instagram, and even their restaurant/wholesale line (which, embarrassingly, is a dead line). Not a single person answered. To make matters worse, when messages did go through, I was repeatedly left on read. A few weeks ago, I had to waste an hour of my day driving 40 minutes out of my way to the physical store just to get basic questions answered because their customer service department is utterly non-existent (a fact that even their own front-desk worker acknowledged with total confusion and annoyance). Taking people's money and then stonewalling them when they ask simple, necessary questions about the service they paid for is negligent, amateurish, and fundamentally disrespectful. They should be thoroughly ashamed of how makeshift, disorganized, and dismissive this entire operation is. Do not fall for the "support local" marketing--these people do not care about community, and they certainly don't care about their customers. Go to WINCO!
