Menu - November 2025
Diele K.

In November, my niece was officially adopted and we wanted to celebrate, so my besties suggested this place. They had been before on Valentine's Day, and remarked that they were accommodating for having a little one in tow. Now they have two little ones (fostering to adopt). We made reservations to ensure we could get a table on a Friday night, and grateful they sat us on the patio as we had two under two dining with us. Our server was Frankie, and was very friendly with the kids. Though, we had mentioned that we were celebrating the oldest being officially adopted but that was not acknowledged. We didn't expect anything more than a congratulations, but that small effort would have been nice as the champagne we ordered was opened/delivered. The patio and interior is very beautiful with a French ambiance and charm. We ordered both wine with the Dinner for Two (Steak Dinner), and cocktails as a night cap with dessert. Additionally, we ordered the five fromages as I will always order cheese if dining somewhere that offers quality cheese. I'm glad they could accommodate a nut allergy. I thought it was a bit pricey in comparison to other cheese plates I've had as for $40 you usually more accompaniments or even larger slices of cheese. The Dinner for Two was delicious, though a bit more cooked than I'd like for medium rare. The flavor was there and the sides were delightful, so I definitely enjoyed it despite the overcook. I even enjoyed a friend's tuna tartare, which was a first time trying for me. Lastly, to end on a sweet note, the Dinner for Two comes with Zinc Soufflé. This was easily in my top five for best soufflé that I've had. Incredibly rich and indulgent! A definite item I'd order every time dining here, and I think the perfect size to share. The food alone will bring me back here, though I would prefer without the kiddos as it didn't feel like the most welcoming place for them. If there isn't a kid's menu, Auntie D is going to politely ask to pick another place. Though to celebrate the successful adoption of my niece, this place was an excellent choice! From sitting down to paying our check, three hours have passed so I would definitely plan when you have no other plans. I foresee this being a lovely spot to celebrate an adult birthday, anniversary, job promotion, or another special occasion when you want to leisurely take in the moment.

My wife and I have been coming to Zinc Bistro for more than 10 years and it's where we like to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Every time we come in the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. We always book a couple of weeks in advance to secure our favorite corner booth which offers privacy and a great view of the Eiffel Tower. Aside from the great service and romantic ambiance, Zinc's food is superb! Admittedly, we have our favorites and we always start with a dozen Oysters and usually go with the server's recommendation. This time we added a caviar bump, which took this delectable appetizer to another level. For our main course, we both prefer a filet with the au poivre sauce and seared foie gras. For dessert, we indulged in the chocolate souffle. This is without a doubt one of our favorite meals and something we look forward to every year.

Zinc bistro came highly recommended by one of the chefs at Sur La Table. We were in the neighborhood and decided to try it. I wasn't very impressed by the menu but we decided to split the burger and the beet salad. With one drink and a side of fries, the bill was already almost at $100. For a burger and a salad. For lunch. I'm more than happy to pay top prices for top quality meals but this didn't really hit the mark. The burger was very average and lacked flavor. I didn't taste the truffle Gruyère at all and was most looking forward to this profile. The beef tomato advertised on the menu was cut very uneven and my half had only a sliver. The beet salad was so heavily dressed I couldn't even eat it. The fries tasted like something that came frozen that they sprinkled with a pinch of chunky Parmesan. I tried their Silver Charm mocktail, asking our server first if it was very sweet, to which she replied that it was not. I had to send it back because it was sickeningly sweet. When I told her it was too sweet, she made a comment about me being too sweet. I wasn't sure if she was trying to bring light/humor to the situation or rebuttal with sarcasm. Either way, I felt kind of uncomfortable. I don't think I would return to Zinc Bistro as I have found better French food if higher quality and more reasonable pricing at other places in town.

We had an absolutely wonderful birthday brunch with amazing service, very attentive service, and absolutely delicious food! Having traveled to Paris several times, this is an authentic experience. The lunch crowd can be a bit loud, but it's because large groups of friends gathered. Don't miss the pistachio croissant as it is absolutely dreamy! I had the Croque monsieur and it was spot on! Husband had the omelette which was made with Greer cheese and Bechel and ham and was so good! They have a great variety of cocktails and wines and we wish we could've experienced the bread service but we splurged enough in the car area! Highly recommended!

I really, really like Zinc Bistro. The decor has that French bistro feel, with fringe edged velvet curtains and globe lighting fixtures. There is a sparkle Eiffel Tower in the middle of the dining room, a couple of lovely patios. There is also a full bar, Anna's plenty of bar seating. The menu is, of course, French. There were so many good choices that if made it difficult to choose. Almost immediately, someone brought a basket of bread and butter. I ordered my regular go-to, an Amaretto Sour, and hubby got an Amstel Light. For dinner we ordered: *Ahi Tuna Steak Bordelaise with spiced peppercorn crust, bok choy, parsley, black truffle, and Bone marrow bordelaise *Cassoulet Toulousaine-- confit duck leg & thigh, white beans, foie sausage, pâté maison & fermented honey glaze *Zinc Valrhona Chocolate Souffle with chocolate sauce Everything was so delicious. The crust on the ahi was to die for, with just the perfect amount of kick. You can't find cassoulet too many places in the area, but if the cassoulet I have found, this was the best--so good! The service was perfect. Our server was so friendly and attentive. Even the man who fills the water was very nice. When he boxed up my dinner, he included fresh bread. This place is perfect dates night place, so if you have a "first date" coming up, go to Zinc Bistro and your date will love it! This place is in Kierland Commons, do parking can be a little difficult. Factor that in when you have a reservation.

Rich with flavor and want a great date night? This is the place! The beef short rib was so tender that I didn't need a knife! The mashed potatoes were creamy and salted perfectly. The steak and frites were cooked perfectly! The steak was amazing and the thin crispy fries were my favorite! Can't wait to go back!

Went here for a friends birthday and it was wonderful. Ate on the early side but thankfully we had a reservation as it filled up quickly. The inside was spacious and we did not feel as though we were sitting on top of other tables around us. Our server was very good and explained the menu and specials quickly and took our drink orders. I went with the Manhattan. It was really good. For my meal I went with the steak frites and it was delicious! Steak was cooked well and paired well with the sauce. There were also a lot of fries that came with it. I also tried the braised beef cheeks and they were excellent! For dessert we split the chocolate souffle. It was really good, but too much for one person, so glad we split it. Overall great meal and experience. We will be back again in the not too distant future.

Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience. A party of 4 for a special birthday dinner and seated in the courtyard, which was a nice outdoor table setting. Susan was super nice and informative. The food was good as usual. The wine, champagne, and martini were excellent as expected. We had a feast and enjoyed it! We ordered onion soup, Prime Flat Iron, Pinot Braised Beef, roasted beet salad, steak tartare, Ahi Tuna Steak Bordelaise, seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras, Pâté Maison, Haricots Verts., and the birthday chocolate dessert was on the house. Thank you, Susan! We wished we received better service. We felt rushed throughout the dining experience. We have been here a few times, individually, and together (each one of us four). This time was a bit different, so we want to bring this up to management's attention. We learned that there was a large party going on. We wanted to be understanding; however, we were also paying customers. Susan and other staff looked overwhelmed. Our empty plates from appetizers sat for a long while, as many staff members passed by, including a lady manager. My main course came out about 25 minutes before the others. We waited for all entrees to be served at the same time. The staff brought us two glasses of wine, which was nice and efficient. She took the empty champagne flutes away and also cleared other clutter from the table. There were many staff members, but they didn't seem well coordinated. A staff delivered a Tuna Tartare to our table, and we did not accept it since we didn't order that -- we ordered Tuna Steak. These are just our observations; we have always enjoyed this place. We hope next time will be a better service experience to complete the package. Cheers!

MAYRA!!!! She is always the most incredible attentive and friendly server around. Her energy always improves my experience. I come here quite often and when she is my server, I am one happy camper..... not to mention I love the champagne, the Prosecco, the green beans and the steak and fries.

Always amazing! Great oyster program. Love the Shrimp Cocktail. Exceptional Omelet. Wife loved her Burger. Great vibe, excellent food, friendly and professional service. Love the patio seating. Will be back!

We had a really nice experience here at Zinc Bistro. Zinc Bistro is located at Kierland Commons and makes you feel like you are eating at a romantic sidewalk cafe in Paris. They even have an Eiffel Tower display inside of the restaurant. I booked a reservation for two and we were given a basket of French bread and butter to start off with. Zinc Bistro provides a nice setting for conversation. I was on a first date and it was the perfect place to get to know someone while enjoying delicious food. The food was really good and so was the service. Zinc Bistro brings shellfish daily that includes oysters, clams, mussels and lobster. My date is a big oyster fan and really enjoyed the oysters here. I got the Herbed Potato Gnocchi as my entrée. Overall, we had a nice time drinking wine while enjoying the ambiance here at Zinc Bistro. The pricing was very reasonable for the level of the experience.

I was excited about Zinc but left underwhelmed by their menu. Entirely too much focus on fish. Wish they had a deeper selection of meats.

I saw a sign that says only long sleeve shirts for men- did I read that correctly?

I'm not sure about the sign, but my husband had gone in short sleeves (once with a polo and black slacks, and also with a dark-colored v neck tshirt with slacks) and been fine. Nobody even blinked an eye. Business casual seems to be what most were…

Hi Jaimie! Great question. Arizona state law prohibits outside alcohol—including wine—from being brought into the restaurant, even with a corkage fee. This isn’t just a Zinc policy—it applies to all licensed restaurants in Arizona who hold a liquor…

Is zinc open on Sunday?

Yes, for brunch, lunch and dinner.

I'm not sure but they should. It would be Fantastic!

However, both the lobster roll and the shrimp po boy were fantastic in both taste and quality! The lobster roll looked smaller than others I've had before but it was absolutely STUFFED with sizable chunks of lobster meat. I would definitely come back for another one in the future. You know you are in for a true fine dining experience. We started off with some cocktails and I was very impressed with the clear ice cube in my Smokey Old Fashioned as it was branded with the "Toro" logo. It was so smooth and probably the best Old Fashioned I ever had, so I had 3 more! My wife throughly enjoyed her Espresso Martinis also. I started off with the Grilled Octopus and nearly cried because it was so good. This is a food favorite of mine and although I love the flavors, most restaurants over cook it and you need to cut it with a steak knife. Not this dish, no knife necessary, your fork will do. So tender, so flavorful, so amazingly delicious. The Mrs. ordered the crispy calamari and was thoroughly impressed as the texture was what fresh calamari should be and not the rubbery texture you get from 8 out of 10 other places. Seasoned to perfection with spices but not overly spicy. My wife can't bear spicy anymore , but she really enjoyed it. I finished it for her of course, because she always remembers to leave room for desert and never finishes anything. And I'm glad because I always get to taste her meals too. It's a win-win for me! I then had an off-the-hook Ceviches that rivaled my own. I am also a part-time cook and also wrote a cookbook. Ceviche is a particular dish that I compare to other restaurants and until now, never found another place that compares to mine. Toro doesn't disappoint my friends. Now for the entrée, Lomo Saltado for myself and a medium rare Ribeye for the Mrs. The Lomo Saltado was beef tenderloin on creamy rice, crispy potato, heirloom tomato, bell peppers, Rocoto Aioli and a Chifa Soy Sauce. It was mouth watering. The beef tenderloin was cooked a little on the well done side, but my bad for not specifying to cook it medium rare. It was still amazing and not a big enough deal to even mention it in the review, but I just want you to specify your preference when you order yours. My wife had the 14 Oz. Ribeye, medium rare ( she thought it was also medium but I found it to be medium rare myself) it was soooo good. She had a side dish of Crispy Brussels sprouts that were unworldy. We never had Brussels sprouts that good, it must be the sherry vinagrette and cotija cheese. Unreal. I had a side of shishito peppers that made my heart happy. My favorite peppers are not usually available everywhere so it was a real bonus to the meal. Desert, well the desert was worth the wait. We both ordered the Ube Basque Cheesecake. It is a dark purple colored slice of heaven with masa crumble, Yuzu espuma and coconut jam. The presentation was stunning. We even enjoyed espresso with sambucca to finish our dining experience. How many places offer espresso on their menu just to inform you the espresso machine isn't working? Just another bonus for us. Price wise, what you would expect for a high-end restaurant in a beautiful resort area of Scottsdale, no sticker shock there, but still, I'd save this place as a never can fail go to for a first date, anniversary, job promotion, marriage proposal, special occasion restaurant. We hoped me might finish with a dessert to pick up the mood after a lackluster meal. The salted carmel brownie we decided on wasn't great; tasteless and bland, it just wasn't worth it. Filet Mignon (8oz) - Delicious and perfectly seasoned! Exactly cooked how my wife ordered it and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Willow Bend Lamb - I can't rave enough about how exquisite this was. I was worried the chops were going to be too large but the portion size was spot on to my liking. The roasted garlic thyme jus it's served with is rich, savory, and a great compliment to the tender and juicy chop. I would order this again and again. Sides: Parmesan Truffle Fries and Smoked Gouda Tater Tots - It's hard to mess up a potato but somehow Ocean Prime was able to make it even more delicious. The fries had a perfect balance of crisp and tender, and the parmesan truffle flavor was the cherry on top. Wonderful aftertaste and surprisingly pairs well with crab legs. The tots had a perfect crisp exterior and a fluffy inside. The offerings are generous so 1 side would suffice for 2 people. Every bite was scrumptious and a definite recommend for the table. Cocktails: My wife also had the Berries & Bubbles cocktail. Well, it was so yummy that she had 2 of them. I had a sip and although I'm not a vodka fan, I can attest that it was indeed yummy. The dry ice is a nice touch and adds to the beauty and appeal of this drink. The drink is poured at the table (Hannah is clearly a pro at it). It was like a dinner and a show! Dessert: We were offered to choose a dessert on-the-house to celebrate my birthday. We ordered the Warm Butter Cake for the table and a Chocolate Torte to go. Hannah was kind enough to comp both of them for us! The Warm Butter Cake was AMAZING! From the delicious ice cream served on top to the gooey buttery velvety center of the cake with a perfectly crisped edge, it was everything you'd want in a dessert and more. I'm sure it's the star of the dessert menu. I've yet to make it to the torte but I've no doubt I'll be swimming in chocolatey goodness when I do. Lastly, I had flowers delivered to the restaurant to surprise my wife, and I asked if they would please have them set at the table prior to our arrival. They were able to receive the delivery before opening time and were placed perfectly in the middle of our table (booth seating). I'm so grateful for how they accommodated my request and helped me execute a wonderful surprise that gained a beautiful smile from my wife. 10/10 experience. Five stars all across the board. Worth every dollar spent. I highly recommend Ocean Prime for any and all events, or if you're simply just looking for a delicious meal.

We chose Ocean Prime for our Father's Day dinner and left with mixed feelings…read more The food was hit or miss. The Caesar salad was very good, and the crab cake was excellent--easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the scallops were disappointing, arriving cold and noticeably tough. On the positive side, the carrot cake was outstanding and a great way to end the evening. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet during our early dinner reservation, so we expected attentive service. Instead, the service was slow and inattentive throughout the meal, which was disappointing given the restaurant's reputation and pricing. Overall, there were some bright spots, but the inconsistent food quality and poor service made for an underwhelming Father's Day experience.

Words don't do this place justice!…read more The service was so on point and they all work as a team. Multiple people will check on you, clear the table, and refill anything you need. The overall place is super cute, quaint, and not loud so you can actually hear your table conversation. The food....delicious! I'll start off by saying those OYSTER BITES are money! My friend and I ordered multiple and I would have ordered more if we didn't have a place to be afterwards. I'm definitely ordering this every single time. The Tuna carpaccio was to die for, I would order this every time! The Lobster croissant was interesting, the lobster itself was so juicy and buttery, I didn't care much for the croissant or shrimp on it. The caviar chips were good but I wouldn't order them again, it was more chips than anything else. The drinks were sooooo good! If you don't know what to order the staff is very knowledgeable and can help guide you. A message for the owners: I absolutely love the concept! You two are extraordinary and I hope you don't change a thing at either of your restaurants. All of them are fantastic. The quality of food is outstanding and the way you train your staff is beyond amazing.

The food was 4 stars! Absolutely amazing taste, portions, amazing. We had the halibut and shrimp…read moreand angel hair. We started with the shrimp sliders. We also ordered their mashed potatoes. The service, while very friendly and helpful with the menu...went downhill from there. You might roll your eyes at the first one but we asked if they could split the two meals up as we were sharing. No, the kitchen can't do that. They can't plate it on two separate plates? Ok. Whatever. But then they brought out the pasta and shrimp and we waited quite some time, at least 10 minutes for the halibut. Reminded 2 servers that we also ordered potatoes and those came 5 minutes after the pasta. This was just not good. Since we waited, though we at half the pasta, the reminder was lukewarm at best. The potatoes finally came, weren't great, maybe they left out the gruyere? We had a few bites but with the elevated flavors of everything else it just fell short. I mentioned it and it was just ignored. Food coming out at different times, didn't like one dish - at least act like you care. This was our first time, and the food was sooooo good, I'll definitely be back but I do hope they take the service up a notch. I highly recommend having the staff read unreasonable hospitality, the food they served deserves it.
