2 1/2 years ago I took a walk down to the end of my street to speak to a neighbor about his solar…read moresystem. It was probably the most money I ever made in the 30 minutes it took me to get the information I needed and learn about Valley Solar. I had several other solar installers provide me with quotes and some of those were at least twice as much for a similar system. Some companies would not even give me a quote because they did not want to deal with Lodi Electric Utility. Once I contacted Valley Solar in January they responded immediately and I was up and running in March. The system has performed flawlessly producing power and I will break even in another 4 years. Valley Solar is very pro-active and has been out a couple of times to address issues with the system communication function. I did not request these visits, they just called and asked if they could come out and do some upgrades. Pretty impressive if you ask me. Would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them.

Valley Solar's employees have been a delight. Pablo started us off and was willing to discuss…read morequestions even on his weekends. His explanations were clear and not pressured, like many of the sales people were. And he was very responsive. And the others, whose names I would have to search deeper in my memory banks to get, were equally great. But I am adding to my review because of the efforts of Christi, the office manager, who went above and beyond in getting us a rebate from PG&E. We kept on putting it off and she persisted. And we got a tidy sum from her efforts. So, many thanks Valley Solar.

My husband and I dug in our heels FOREVER, when it came to getting solar. There were all kinds of…read moresalespeople who came to our home on a monthly basis, and we just never had a real peace about being able to trust what we were being " sold", or told. My parents purchased solar from a HORRIBLE company that sounds a lot like 'SunFun'. After they passed away, and the house was sold...we were STILL making the monthly payments for over a year!!! That SunFun organization REFUSED to transfer the solar to the new homeowner, and eventually stopped taking or acknowledging our calls. It wasn't until we had to threaten the new homeowner with a lawsuit that SunFun finally transferred ownership. Due to this, we could not trust any of these solar companies...that is, until Kevin Bedard came to our home, and explained everything in great detail to my husband and I. He took the time to hear about our concerns, and he showed us how he truly cared. That same week, we spoke to two other families who shared their positive experiences about Ambrose Solar that made us feel that we would be in great hands. We had FINALLY FOUND A PEACE about getting solar on our home; KNOWING we would be in good hands, and we were ALL IN. It's been six months now, and we are beyond pleased with our solar panels, and the two Tesla batteries we have purchased. We are true fans, who have NOTHING but RAVE REVIEWS for this company. If you don't have solar, or if you need to add solar, Kevin Bedard is your man! and Ambrose is your company. Every employee has been amazing and helpful. In a world where customer service has taken a dump, this company has remained a class act. So again...if you are considering solar, call Ambrose, and tell them Albert and Rhonda sent you.

My project is now finished and it's been about 6 months turned on and functioning- I'm still so…read moreglad that I did this with Ambrose Solar. Any home renovation project has bumps, and this one had its fair share: after initial install they monitor the systems production remotely to see if it's doing what it's supposed to/expected to, and my system was initially under-performing. They caught it and sent out a team to problem solve it, which took a couple tries, but they didn't drag their feet, they kept on it and kept at it and got it resolved. It was no fault of theirs, just a technology glitch. Core fear was that they would give up after a couple failures and leave me following up with them to get it done, but I never had to worry about that. I also did not end up liking where they placed the control box- it was something that was going to make future maintenance of my house trim problematic down the line. They willingly moved it up a few inches for me (and my only complaint was the team that did that didn't patch the original hole as efficiently as they should have. If I had understood the box placement better on the first pass that would never have happened, so this is a bit of a complaint of my own making.) Jon Landsman, who sold me the system, stayed with us the whole time tracking the project, checking in, and following through on every detail, every question, every concern. He never made me feel like the demanding diva that I am, was always prompt and gracious! The bottom line is that start to finish, even with a few bumps in the road, I have zero question that this is a company that legitimately cares about doing what is right. The culture of deeply valuing customer service that they have built is unmatched by many businesses these days. I am SO pleased, and SO impressed, and I can promise that you will be too!

So, my neighbor was looking to get solar, and since we have a pretty big array, of course they…read moreasked us. I couldn't believe they didn't have a Yelp review, so here I am. We first met Tim with Renewable Solutions in February of 2022 when a neighbor asked us who we were going with. After some encouragement, we decided to give Tim a call. We figured we'd just get a quick quote and move on, after all, we had already gotten several quotes and we had "made" a decision. Tim arrived, listened to our plans, spoke with us about out power needs, and tried to give us an education about how solar works, but quickly discovered that we were already pretty informed in this area. Then he gave us our quote... which was $20,000 LESS than SunRun, who we had already decided to work with. We then set about poking holes in why is was so low. We looked into the converter used (Enphase micro-converters) as well as the brand name of the panels- figuring we would find cheap Chinese knock-offs. NOPE. They were good, band name panels. After doing our due diligence, we canceled our old contract, and went with Tim. (Sun Run came and dropped their price to match, however the panels weren't as nice, and we were upset that they had tried to take advantage of us.) We quickly received approval of my roof (only a year old), they proposed a layout of the panels, and my questions about placement were answered by the engineering team were answered the next day. (They were right of course, but I appreciated the explanation.) Upon approval, they also handled all the paperwork with the HOA too. One less headache! We financed the entire project, and they were great setting us up with financing at a low rate, and all signing and everything was done online. They handled all the permitting, and interfaced with the City and PG&E to get inspections done too. Any questions I had I was able to shoot off to Tim, or the customer service team at Renewable Solutions. Before I knew it, they had men up on my roof! Most of the work was completed in one day, and the second day, they completely finished. (I have a pretty big array!) The only thing that they neglected to do was paint the conduit to match my roof- required by the HOA. But after a phone call they quickly came out and got it done- free of charge. (BTW, conduit is UGLY. I highly recommend having them pait it to match the roof and walls. it cost nothing extra, and makes a BIG difference!) Anyway, we've had our system a year and a half now, and wow, going solar was truly an amazing decision. Everyone in the neighborhood is griping about the rising cost of energy - and it's one less worry for us. Last year our True Up bill at the end of the year was ELEVEN DOLLARS. This year, after the city removed a couple trees and we cleaned our panels, our production has gone UP as well. (Our current True Up bill is -$441. How cool is that???) TLDR; Call the guys at Renewable Solutions. They will get the job done at a reasonable cost, make your roof look great and kill your energy bill.

Hiring Jeff Wakamiya at Renewable Solutions was by far the best decision I have ever made when…read moremaking improvements to my home, It has been 2 years since choosing him, and he has consistently informed me with any updated state programs that could benefit me. *Please note that not any of my friends who used other companies have ever had calls from their sales rep informing them of the SGIP program which would have allowed them free solar battery storage if they qualified. In fact, my friends have never had any follow up calls after the initial sales meeting.  Jeff and his team filed all the necessary forms needed to secure the free batteries for his customers who qualified. He did this without his receiving any remuneration from the CPUC. Jeff has been consistently professional, kind, informative, and has ALWAYS gone the "extra mile." I strongly recommend calling Jeff Wakamiya at Renewable Solutions to help you with any of your solar and roofing needs. You won't be sorry and you will be thankful that you chose his company!
