Make a great deal with LA SOLAR on the beginning of November and they finished it at the end of the November, that was very quick and professional, I loved the crew, the management and customer service... I fully enjoy my solar production and happy to share my experience

Loved installation performed by LA Solar Team, they were very quick and professional, Ghukas's team did their best to make us happy, Strongly recommended!

UPDATED: Received a message from their Chief of Staff and we had a very nice talk. He assured me that this is not something they take lightly which I am very pleased to hear. I was glad that by posting this review I was actually got to help them resolve a few more issues. I may not have worked with this company yet but with the attention to detail and response time I got, I will definitely recommend your company to family and friends who would need your type of service. Good luck on your business. Reckless driver in El Camino, San Mateo on 10/30/19 at around 3:15pm. This driver made an illegal U-turn and changed lanes without checking his side mirror if there were cars in the lane he is changing to. Tried calling all phone numbers of this company but they don't accept incoming calls. I have a dash-cam and will be posting how reckless this employee is. With employees like this, how can you claim having "highly-trained" people? If you don't know how to follow vehicle laws, I bet the people who work here also know nothing about making the project right.

The 6.8 KW (peak) solar system that these folks installed for me really rocks! So if you are planning to install a solar system, look no further and hire this company. I say this because I did my homework right and had obtained over six estimates, and this company beat all the other five not only on price and quality, but also on other (rather important) things as you can see below. 1. Price: This company beat all the others by nearly 20%, and all the other five estimates came very close to one another to the point where I was suspecting that there is some sort of illegal "price fixing" that is rampant industry-wide, but not for this company since it came far away (and below) all the others. 2. Equipment Quality: The system they installed was the most advanced compared to all the other bids. It used higher-end Panasonic panels, and Enphase micro-inverters and combiner. Others bid for lesser-quality no-name panels with one string inverter and a set of optimizers. After much research, I think a micro-inverter based system is superior to the string-inverter based system (so don't listen to the confusing information you find on the web, which portrays the two types of systems as being "equivalent"). So with a total of just 20 panels, my projected annual solar energy production should be about one and a half times my consumption. This should bring down my PG&E bill to the minimum $10/month, and should be able to provide all the electric energy needed for an extra electric car I may purchase in the future. 3. System design: This company had the most precise and realistic design, and that is very important because some of the bids I received were not realistic as they sketched more panels on my South-facing side of the roof than that side could possibly fit. This inflates the projected energy production, but is NOT realistic. In my case, the optimal design was to use the Southern-facing and Eastern-facing sides of the roof and to arrange the panels 50/50 on both sides. This company nailed the design right, but other bids like I said was either plain wrong, or were not realistic. With this design I was able to get a peak production of 6.2 KW, which is close to the theoretical 6.8 KW peak (the difference being mostly due to the orientation of my house). 4. Consumption and Net Monitoring: Most contractors let you monitor ONLY the energy production of your solar system, but this company gave me the ability to monitor the CONSUMPTION of energy by my house and the net energy exchanged between me and utility company on an instantaneous basis (actually every 15 minutes) and on the same Enlighten App as shown in the picture. This is really useful if you would like to do any energy planning in your house to see who/what is really consuming electricity. Granted that you can see the consumption on your utility website, but that data is one or two days delayed and does not show up in the same view as the production, and these two problems make the data from the utility company useless for that purpose. 5. Other: All the folks of the company I have dealt with are ethical in their dealing and are reasonable. The company installed the system in two days, which is very quick. Getting the consumption monitoring to work correctly took a while longer though.

The solar team did a great job today, worked really hard and completed the job professionally, strongly recommend this guys, I am going to refer more people. BEAUTIFUL JOB Love it!!!

I am updating my initial review after the LA Solar CEO reached out to me to address my issues. I found LA Solar through EnergySage. I got quoted for solar panels and battery and LA Solar was very competitive and had high quality products. Their installation crew and engineers are also very professional and competent. My roof is rather small but they were creative and resourceful enough to find a way to install solar panels on it. I didn't expect the project to be easy or straightforward but they managed to make it happen and they deserve credit for that event though it took a very long time (over 9 months). After failing 3 inspections, they had to move the front panels back a little bit to meet fire department standards (see pictures). My Tesla battery installation, which was done separately, was definitely a little smoother. The installation itself was very quick but it took a couple of months to complete the whole project (inspection...etc). In the midst of pandemic times, it's understandable. Now let's talk about the negatives...The MAIN problem that I've had with the company since the very beginning is COMMUNICATION. They definitely lack terribly on this front in my opinion. - They crew members either didn't show up or showed up on the wrong date. Each time without letting me know ahead of time. - They missed a scheduled inspection. I didn't know what to tell the inspector who just shrugged off and walked way. - One inspection got cancelled and they didn't tell me. I had to reach out to find out. - I don't even know how many people I've talked to, texted with since the beginning of my project but it was never the same person. Bottom line is that I am happy that both of my projects were completed but I am not exactly thrilled with the overall experience. Previous review (1/5 stars): I really don't like leaving negative reviews (especially 1 star reviews) for any business but this company is unfortunately one of the worst ones I've ever dealt with in my life. The experience might be different in Los Angeles. In the Bay Area though? My experience so far has been terrible. One of their employees describes the chaos that reigns inside the company as "too many chiefs and not enough Indians" and it shows! - They promised to complete our solar installation by the end of 2019 in order for us to benefit from the federal tax credit. That didn't happen and didn't even get close to happening... - They scheduled our installation date and then were told that it was actually our delivery date and that our installation date would happen at a later time...the delivery person destroyed our front yard plants by dropping heavy metal rods on them - The installers, who were contractors, not employed by LA Solar, left my front door UNLOCKED while my wife and I were out of town for the weekend. That left us very panicked since literally anybody could just walk in and help themselves with all of our stuff. Fortunately, we managed to find a friend to lock it for us a few hours after the crew left. - Terrible communication: Every single phone interaction has to happen with a different person that has no idea about our status/situation. NOBODY ever picks up the phone and it always goes straight to voicemail. Of course they never call back. - The city inspector came in twice and failed the inspection twice because the installation is not compliant with safety codes. Nobody from LA Solar showed up for the second inspection. The inspector just shrugged and walked away. I have no idea what happens now. They might have to shift the panels around on the roof to make the installation compliant. One of thing I know for sure: I am not going to take any more days off of work or waste any more time with these guys. I won't give them access to the inside of my property since I can't trust them to lock it. Stay away! There are tons of solar installer options so don't pick this one.

Update: working perfectly to date. I had to hire someone to clean the solar panels after the wild fire last year but that's my only expenses so far. Wish I can afford two Tesla Powerwall.

Very Quick and friendly crew finished up my installation in one day only, very happy with LA SOLAR, strongly recommend

It was probably the most money I ever made in the 30 minutes it took me to get the information I needed and learn about Valley Solar. I had several other solar installers provide me with quotes and some of those were at least twice as much for a similar system. Some companies would not even give me a quote because they did not want to deal with Lodi Electric Utility. Once I contacted Valley Solar in January they responded immediately and I was up and running in March. The system has performed flawlessly producing power and I will break even in another 4 years. Valley Solar is very pro-active and has been out a couple of times to address issues with the system communication function. I did not request these visits, they just called and asked if they could come out and do some upgrades. Pretty impressive if you ask me. Would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them.

And the others, whose names I would have to search deeper in my memory banks to get, were equally great. And we got a tidy sum from her efforts. So, many thanks Valley Solar.

My parents purchased solar from a HORRIBLE company that sounds a lot like 'SunFun'. After they passed away, and the house was sold...we were STILL making the monthly payments for over a year!!! That SunFun organization REFUSED to transfer the solar to the new homeowner, and eventually stopped taking or acknowledging our calls. It wasn't until we had to threaten the new homeowner with a lawsuit that SunFun finally transferred ownership. Due to this, we could not trust any of these solar companies...that is, until Kevin Bedard came to our home, and explained everything in great detail to my husband and I. He took the time to hear about our concerns, and he showed us how he truly cared. That same week, we spoke to two other families who shared their positive experiences about Ambrose Solar that made us feel that we would be in great hands. We had FINALLY FOUND A PEACE about getting solar on our home; KNOWING we would be in good hands, and we were ALL IN. It's been six months now, and we are beyond pleased with our solar panels, and the two Tesla batteries we have purchased. We are true fans, who have NOTHING but RAVE REVIEWS for this company. If you don't have solar, or if you need to add solar, Kevin Bedard is your man! and Ambrose is your company. Every employee has been amazing and helpful. In a world where customer service has taken a dump, this company has remained a class act. So again...if you are considering solar, call Ambrose, and tell them Albert and Rhonda sent you.

Any home renovation project has bumps, and this one had its fair share: after initial install they monitor the systems production remotely to see if it's doing what it's supposed to/expected to, and my system was initially under-performing. They caught it and sent out a team to problem solve it, which took a couple tries, but they didn't drag their feet, they kept on it and kept at it and got it resolved. It was no fault of theirs, just a technology glitch. Core fear was that they would give up after a couple failures and leave me following up with them to get it done, but I never had to worry about that. I also did not end up liking where they placed the control box- it was something that was going to make future maintenance of my house trim problematic down the line. They willingly moved it up a few inches for me (and my only complaint was the team that did that didn't patch the original hole as efficiently as they should have. If I had understood the box placement better on the first pass that would never have happened, so this is a bit of a complaint of my own making.) Jon Landsman, who sold me the system, stayed with us the whole time tracking the project, checking in, and following through on every detail, every question, every concern. He never made me feel like the demanding diva that I am, was always prompt and gracious! The bottom line is that start to finish, even with a few bumps in the road, I have zero question that this is a company that legitimately cares about doing what is right. The culture of deeply valuing customer service that they have built is unmatched by many businesses these days. I am SO pleased, and SO impressed, and I can promise that you will be too!

We first met Tim with Renewable Solutions in February of 2022 when a neighbor asked us who we were going with. After some encouragement, we decided to give Tim a call. We figured we'd just get a quick quote and move on, after all, we had already gotten several quotes and we had "made" a decision. Tim arrived, listened to our plans, spoke with us about out power needs, and tried to give us an education about how solar works, but quickly discovered that we were already pretty informed in this area. Then he gave us our quote... which was $20,000 LESS than SunRun, who we had already decided to work with. We then set about poking holes in why is was so low. We looked into the converter used (Enphase micro-converters) as well as the brand name of the panels- figuring we would find cheap Chinese knock-offs. NOPE. They were good, band name panels. After doing our due diligence, we canceled our old contract, and went with Tim. (Sun Run came and dropped their price to match, however the panels weren't as nice, and we were upset that they had tried to take advantage of us.) We quickly received approval of my roof (only a year old), they proposed a layout of the panels, and my questions about placement were answered by the engineering team were answered the next day. (They were right of course, but I appreciated the explanation.) Upon approval, they also handled all the paperwork with the HOA too. One less headache! We financed the entire project, and they were great setting us up with financing at a low rate, and all signing and everything was done online. They handled all the permitting, and interfaced with the City and PG&E to get inspections done too. Any questions I had I was able to shoot off to Tim, or the customer service team at Renewable Solutions. Before I knew it, they had men up on my roof! Most of the work was completed in one day, and the second day, they completely finished. (I have a pretty big array!) The only thing that they neglected to do was paint the conduit to match my roof- required by the HOA. But after a phone call they quickly came out and got it done- free of charge. (BTW, conduit is UGLY. I highly recommend having them pait it to match the roof and walls. it cost nothing extra, and makes a BIG difference!) Anyway, we've had our system a year and a half now, and wow, going solar was truly an amazing decision. Everyone in the neighborhood is griping about the rising cost of energy - and it's one less worry for us. Last year our True Up bill at the end of the year was ELEVEN DOLLARS. This year, after the city removed a couple trees and we cleaned our panels, our production has gone UP as well. (Our current True Up bill is -$441. How cool is that???) TLDR; Call the guys at Renewable Solutions. They will get the job done at a reasonable cost, make your roof look great and kill your energy bill.
