I've been going here somewhat regularly for over 15 years. I usually go for lunch and dine in. My regular lunch dish is the Szechuan Chicken with Hot & Sour soup. It's very consistent and very good. Service is always top notch. Just when you're thinking you need a drink refill the server shows up with your refill. I don't think I've ever had to ask for a drink refill here . They always ask if I want more rice but I decline because what you're served is enough for me. Good service and good food. I love Sun Garden. I order take out at least once a week if not more. They know me by name, and always ask about my boys and how we are. I have never had any complaint, or issue with anything I have ever ordered in the 10+ years we have ordered take out or dined in. Their staff are courteous and always eager to serve us to ensure that our order is correct and to our liking. Prices are average and I do not frequent any other local Chinese resturants as they never measure up to the good taste and service of this establishment. We've been going here for about twelve years. We love it. We always eat in. The service is always wonderful and so is the food. The owner is always gracious and welcoming. I don't know if it is the best Chinese restaurant in Atlanta but it is good enough for me. Try the triple delight and the special egg fu young. We've brought guests here a number of times and never had a complaint. One review mentioned that the food was too hot to eat. I like my food hot. I would complain if it was cold. Myself and my 2 kids ate here last week for lunch. We had a good experience overall. Everything seemed fresh. My kids enjoyed the pots tickers and egg drop soup. The portions seemed reasonable size for the money we spent. It is better than "Chinese takeout" but nothing spectacular. I would give it a 3.75 out of 5 stars. The kids shared lo me in and I had shrimp and chicken called dragon and something or other. Service was good. Respectful and pretty quick so the kids didn't start whining. They were very nice on the phone. They put our 2 orders of mongolian chicken in the same to go box without even asking us. What if we were going to different places? It was weird. How do we know it was even 2 orders and they didnt just chargebus for one. There was barely any sauce. And the rice was kinda dry. Im not going to be going there again. read more

Chinese food...how can a billion people be wrong? Chinese food is hit and miss around Gwinnett but Sun Garden is a hit. The food is very good, but the staff is what really makes this place. Very friendly and personable. No stray dogs found behind this place, its a very clean spot and very tastefully decorated (your not overwhelmed with pandas and paper fans when you walk in). Food comes quickly and is fresh and hot. They give you oranges after your meal which is refreshing to cleanse your palate. It's never too busy so there is never a wait. I truly believe they print one menu for Chinese food and ship it to every Chinese restaurant in the United States to use as the same exact food appears at every establishment, maybe even the same numbers, no matter what the name of the place. However, this locations food is delicious. Fortune cookies are distributed after every meal, and I am still waiting to read an error code on one of the fortunes from a misprint (how funny would that be) . It gets the bada-bing thumbs up form the local guy. read more

Favorite Dacula Chinese restaurant!!!! Extremely friendly staff, prompt service, great food, best price and quick delivery. Very kid friendly and portions are large enough to share. I eat here probably once a week because it is convenient and the lunch menu is priced better than anywhere else. Sure, you can eat at BK or McD's for $5. But you can get twice the amount of food, a more nutritional meal and relax for the same price. All while supporting a local business and not a huge corporate giant. read more

The ONLY reason I'm not giving five stars is because this is my first time ordering from here, so my review is based on one experience. I am very impressed so far. I ordered three entrées for delivery, and the woman on the other end of the phone was extremely friendly. The food was delivered within the time-frame I was given (even though it was raining sleet, and they were extremely busy), and the driver was courteous. I ordered Mongolian Beef and Mongolian Chicken. The food quality is much better than the other local Chinese restaurants. The rice tastes like it's been cooked in chicken broth, and not just sautéed in oil. The noodles weren't soggy, the meat was tasty, and the rice was good enough to eat by itself. This is my new go-to Chinese restaurant. Bye bye, Golden Palace II! read more

I wanted to like this place as the employees were very friendly. It wasn't a good sign that we were the only people in the restaurant at 6:00 on a Saturday. We got the Teriyaki chicken and the Garlic Chicken. The chicken was either processed or tofu as it didn't have a chicken texture nor did it look anything like chicken. The fried rice was all rice with hardly anything else (egg, peas, carrots). Maybe it was a bad day and this wasn't typical. We live very close but will probably not be going back as there are many other options in this area for Chinese food. read more

I've been eating here forever, since the restaurant opened about 18+ years ago. I'm sure it has changed owners a few times. It has always been good until this past year, and it has gone downhill fast. Sadly, this last take out visit was our last. Everything we ordered wasn't prepped or cooked properly. And it wasn't the first time. Bland, full of filler foods, like giant chunks of bell pepper and whole mushrooms in the Garlic Chicken with very little bits of chicken, undercooked pork in the Moo Shoo Pork, and undercooked weird steak in the Mongolian Beef. The steamed rice now smells like urine. Maybe they changed chefs???, but whoever is chopping the veggies has no idea what they are doing. You can't cut cabbage for moo shoo that's 1/2" thick and stir fry it for 5 seconds. It was almost all inedible, and this is the 3rd time this has happened. The time before last I ordered no baby corn in my Chicken w Vegetables and I got almost all baby corn (more filler food). So, Three strikes, you're out!!! So long Sun Garden. Excellent Chinese Food, take out mainly, great food and excellent portions. Brown sauce dishes are very good. Fried rice is excellent too.

Food is not bad at all....but, typically, the dining area, like many Chinese Restaurants, they just don't spend enough on the décor. Its not a pleasant looking place at all. read more
