So happy to see more Hawaii-based or Hawaii-inspired restaurants open up since moving to Georgia 6 years ago! L&L is a chain I grew up on, so I know a certain standard of quality and consistency is to be expected when ordering here. I have only ordered from this location once so far, but it was great! Ordered on Valentine's Day thru the L&L app. Called ahead to see if they could pause the order till we got closer so it would be fresh as we were delayed in that holiday/weekend traffic. The girl on the phone was super sweet and although it took a while for it to show up on their end, the young lady was so nice to call back and confirm that she received the order finally and it would be hot and fresh upon arrival. I did not go inside, but I heard the counter staff were also very nice and pleasant to interact with. Tried the food at a park nearby to ensure freshness. Everything was pretty tasty. I think there are a few kinks to work out, as this is a newer location, but nothing too serious. I do think the garlic shrimp was better at the Cobb location. It just needs a little more garlic, salt, and crisp on the batter/skin, in my opinion. The loco moco was good - nice to have gravy rice and the egg was cooked perfectly. The chicken katsu curry was definitely better than some other places in Metro Atlanta but also could've been slightly crispier - overall not bad at all though. The garlic chicken was easily my favorite - perfect crisp, yet juicy and delicious sauce. The mac salad was perfect and standard to what I expected, the perfect compliment to the chicken and other dishes. My only critique would be to shred the cabbage or chop a little thinner to be more palatable but so much better than steamed, bland cabbage as a bed for the plates! I was looking forward to ordering lau lau but I'm hearing it might be a secret menu option at this location or first come/first call/first serve situation. This is totally understandable, as I cannot get taro leaves every single time I go to BuHi farmer's market lol. They are out so quickly! But looking forward to ordering more favorites, more garlic chicken, and coming back for the lau lau. Great job, Dacula/Mulberry location! The aloha spirit is alive and well at this location. Great deals here. Tried the mini loco moco, mixed bbq plate, curry katsu and spam musubi. Katsu would've been better had it been crispy, and the curry was a bit rich. Loco moco was good, slightly under-seasoned. Macaroni salad was typical and the spam musubi were good and not overpriced. Overall would come again for a quick lunch when I'm in the mood for something different. read more

This is the 3rd L&L location we've been to. They are consistently good. The food is good. The service is good. The beef is my favorite. My kiddo craves the Spam Musubi. (It's half off on Mondays!) Was craving Hawaiian bbq and hadn't found any places that were good so I searched around and eventually found this spot! Plenty of reviews and good reviews at that led us to check out this location! It is a small restaurant with limited seating but they also offer takeout. You are greeted by a very friendly cashier who gives plenty of recommendations and variety. You can order on a self order kiosk or through the attendee. I ordered a chicken katsu bowl with double Mac salad and one scoop of white rice and it took some time to get out food. However, once it arrived we were blown away by the portion and how delicious it looked. Everything was absolutely incredible once we took our first bite and I inhaled almost the entire plate. I ordered on the app for their limited time Friday BOGO lunch deal. The food is really good, well seasoned, and is pretty legit. What I remember more is going inside to pick up my order and the people there were so nice! It had some seating available, with the location being a pretty small space, and the workers were incredibly kind. All of them said "Aloha" and "Mahalo" to me when they could which made me feel so welcome. When I walked in, one of the employees were still chatting with another table. I really enjoyed how patient the waitress was since it was my first time in a Hawaiian restaurant! This restaurant is small with a well maintained seating area. I liked the themed decor. There is a very clear digital menu and also printed menus. It's also convenient that the menu is available online and includes the nutritional information. I received an enthusiastic greeting upon entering. The counter person was helpful and friendly. I ordered a coconut pineapple smoothie, the light chicken meal and spam saimin. While refreshing, the smoothie is more of a slushy. I added a bit of sweetener when I got home with my food and it was great. The light chicken plate came with a large portion of grilled chicken thigh on a bed of cabbage, brown rice and salad with a very yummy dressing. The spam saimin is essentially ramen with spam in it. Went to the newest location today and got the bbq mix plate and 2 masubi and glad I did. Is as good as most L&L's are. Chicken was well cooked, beef was amazing, and short ribs are always my favorite. Love that the masubi was full nori and not the little strip. Rice was perfect and a good slice of spam. Owner is super nice and staff is charming, place is super clean, and ambiance is Hawaiian and calm. Will for sure be back when in the area again. read more

I absolutely hate to zing a new business, but I placed an online order and they kept changing the time. One hour later Dasher was sitting there waiting (15 min) and no food. Had to cancel the order, because I had already waited an hour, and the Dasher was wasting their time sitting. That is their time -wasted-that they have to get other orders delivered. I can't believe I discovered one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. It is in Dacula and the food was amazing and then we met Jeff and Maria and their son who were even more amazing. The Aloha spirit is very evident especially the local Grindz, and the food was so Onolicious, that it broke the mouth. (Local Hawaii slang). The service was good. I was greeted by multiple staff when I arrived, which was very pleasant. The atmosphere is nice. The restaurant was small but very clean and pretty. I ordered the BBQ Mix. Here's where the one major drawback. The food was mediocre at best. It was supposed to be BBQ, but there was no "outdoor cooking" flavor or texture. The meat really tasted like it had been cooked in a crockpot - which would not have been terrible if that was how it was advertised, but it was advertised as BBQ. Not sure I will be back. The food was tasty, but not tasty enough to make up for the fact that it wasn't BBQ. I expect that food labeled as BBQ will have some "outdoor cooking" flavor. read more

It was pretty good. The place was nice and very clean, but small, yet, still spacious enough to be comfortable enough to eat there. Being stained in Hawaii for 5 years, it really reminded me of L&L in Hawaii, so I was happy about that. I had the kalbi, or the short ribs. It came with rice and mac salad. The Mac salad was pretty good, but it did seem like it was missing something. In Hawaii, the Mac salad does have more flavor. I also had a lilikoi drink. I was disappointed that there wasn't a larger size. That's all I would drink whenever I ate at L&L in Hawaii. All in all it was pretty good. Everyone was nice and were very friendly and accommodating. The owner and the cook asked how everything tasted, to which I replied everything was good and I was extremely satisfied. He also told me that they did have a dish that I didn't see on the menu (Lau Lau)and that if I wanted to order it, just call ahead and place my order for it. Again, I was happy about that. The owner was so kind to come out and let us know himself there would be a little wait for the food as we came in very early ( i love freshly cooked cooked food!)
