My wife and I after reading several excellent reviews here, decided it was time for a visit. We are certainly glad that we did. We have been in SC for just over a year and it took us this long to find GREAT Chinese cuisine. I tried a new to me spicy dish called jag janh mein. It was awesome! My wife tried the cashew chicken and found it delicious. We shared the egg rolls which were also excellent. We both agree we will return another time...

This is absolutely THE BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT next to NYC I've encountered this southern of the Border

UNSEASONED! My friends and I went here last night to grab a bite. I didn't do my due diligence and believe the reviews I read. I came out on my own free will and regretted it! So, I ordered the spicy beef in a pot. It came out looking delicious but oily! You could see the scallions and peppers and I just knew this was going to be delicious. NOPE! Why did it taste floral? Like I can't even describe the taste. Just awful. I should've known better when my strawberry daiquiri came out looking real light skin! Like very pink and not red! But trying to be optimistic and look at where it got me, Tuh! My friend ordered egg drop soup and it legit looked like they put egg whites in water! She had to add salt and pepper. Again, no flavor! The other two friends seemed to enjoy their dishes. But not I. After returning my dish and paying $30 for an inedible dish and some veggie springs rolls (and you guessed it, UNSEASONED) and a very mid daiquiri (and that's being nice), it's very safe to say I will never return here. It isn't worth the drive, nor my money! Restaurant looks nice. Service was cool!

Enjoyed the dim sum, especially the variety of dumplings they were flavorful and had a nice, thin wrapper. The pork siu mai was juicy and packed with great seasoning. The only downside was that some items felt a bit greasy. Service was quick and efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant had a casual and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a weekend brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Very pricey and the service is a little less then I would like it to be. They can be rude at times but the food is definitely worth it.

Good food but too pricy, the wonton soup was a little cup and over priced like if I bought a large one

Great food! General Tao chicken is great! Everything is good - fried rice, egg rolls, etc. It is expensive.

It may be small, but it's packed with incredible customer service, warm ambiance, and delicious, mouthwatering food. I was especially impressed with the lobster rolls, the best I've had since Charleston. The lobster was fresh, sweet, and perfectly prepared. And let's talk about the bar! The drinks are perfectly poured and the bartenders are amazing, attentive, welcoming, and they make you feel right at home. Come hungry and be prepared to fall in love with a menu full of savory, scrumptious options. Between you and me, I might just have to try the whole thing.

We were warmly greeted by the hostess, seated at a comfortable table and our server was fantastic!!! We enjoyed the crab dip as an appetizer. It is served with pita bread and was absolutely delicious!!! I highly recommend it. Five My husband had the surf and turd which was served with loaded mashed potatoes and broccolini. The steak was cooked exactly how he ordered it and was a large serving! Five I had the crab cake (which is technically an appetizer) and it was served with corn chowder. It was the perfect portion size for me after having an appetizer. Five I would eat this an appetizer or meal! I also opted for a side of mashed potatoes. Plenty of draft beer and a great cocktail/wine menu. We really enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning! What a gem!

We started off with some fried green tomatoes.  Everyone does their little twist on them and this place did the same.  Personally, I am good with them as is and maybe some remoulade for dipping.  Here they had a pepper sauce that came with them and cheese melted atop the FGTs.  Not bad and nothing killed or overpowered the flavor from the FGTs.  However, I did wish that the pepper sauce had a bit more kick.  I cannot remember the name but the drink of the much was a peach based drink.  It was good and it was not just some peach flavored alcohol but it was made with peach puree.  They had me at peach when she ran through the specials.    For the main entrée it was the ribeye at a medium rare with fries and asparagus.   You get a choice of a bordelaise or garlic aioli to accompany your steak or whatever you want to dip in it.  Steak was cooked to the medium rare as I requested and that is a good start because we know there those places that consider what you ask for as just a suggestion.  Good flavor from the steak with no need for the sauce as I found out and I just enjoy asparagus.    Good experience.  Despite this being my first time here this place gave the vibe as a solid choice.  One of those places where when you are unsure of what you want but don't want to risk something new because you are hungry or with someone who cannot come to terms with their food desires.  This is a that old, trusted place you can rely on when you are hungry and good service.  A first experience that went very well.

Ofc I scroll through Yelp (as one does - literally hi friend!) and one of the top rated is The Bistro. I whip on over there and, albeit confused with the parking sitch (you can park in the back and go in through the side where the restrooms are, or you can go in through the front? Yo no sé.) I was greeted by this gorgeous host who promptly sat me and a drooooopp deeeeaaaddd waitress Annie T, don't get it twisted, came with the suggestions and shoutouts I couldn't be more excited to get. I decided on The Bistro Bee Sting (yall, I mean come on.. look at that photo. DELISH!) and a turkey melt with some cheese grits as a side. So friggin good. A bit expensive but honestly 10/10 will be back. And GET THE BEE STING! I'm still drooling. 8.4/10 only because of price, but service, ambiance, and flavor were all 10's.

Everyone love CAtfish Johnnys. The staff seemed afraid to be too nice and the manager literally told someone near me he cancelled all bands or did not book any rock bands or have any bands on Fridays because it brought in 'that crowd'. He wants to focus on Families and cut down on alcohol and certain appetizers that attract them. . There is that. Sooooo... Oh service was slow, we ordered three or 4 of the same exact item and all three came completely different. Shrimp was fried on one, Shrimp was cooked another way on the 2nd and Anyway the plates looked like completely different orders. The drinks were made the same- all different even when ordering the same drink. We did not complain as it clearly was not the servers fault. We will remember the manager pretty much insulted all previous patrons which includes a lot of people with boats and money and laughs. Although he wanted to focus on Families, I saw no more or any security or extra security around the water so do not expect extra safety for your children and there may have been but I didn't notice an expanded children's menu. I think the prices may have been higher too. Enjoy the new Knotted Marina and bring your own music you may not see any of your favorite oldskool bands. I normally get a Togo meal to bring home. I did not this trip. The manager may not have known he was talking to one of the bands that previously played there. I really used to love this place. We shall see
