Not bad here. New business name but same owners? 10.50 medium bowl. 12.50 for large. Good service. In and out in 30 min. Got to love that.

My husband and I are always looking to try something new and found this place using an IPhone app searching for nearby dining. What a find! Upon entering,my first observation was that it was a low-key kind of place with minimal thought for decor but what's there absolutely served it's purpose. Having never been there before, it was a bit confusing but we got the hang of it quickly. First, you can choose a small bowl ($6.50) or large ($7.50), and start loading it with your choice of uncooked meat(s) i.e. beef, lamb, pork, chicken and a selection of fresh veggies. The next station is sauce. There's a chart provided that clearly indicates the ingredients required to make a large selection of yummy sauces. I've posted a pic of the chart - Sounds a bit complicated but really, it isn't. You give the overflowing bowl to the cook (Yes! Overflowing! We were challenged by staff to fill it to the bowls to the max) and he cooks it for you on a large, flat grill and brings it to your table. Will you're choosing your ingredients, a small bowl of rice and a small bowl of miso-like soup (per person) magically appears on your table. The food is to die for! So, I mentioned prices above. There is an alternative where you can choose "all you can eat" for $11.50. My husband and I cannot eat another bite so we've never opted for the all you can eat. Bonus! No MSG added! Service is quick so perfect for lunch or for a go to place if facing time constraints. We've dropped in a few times since our initial visit and although quiet, there are always other patrons including people for take out. We've added this place to our favourites.

Didn't disappoint!! Casual, yummy, filling and affordable! I'M SOLD! I walked past here a month ago on my way to the bank and smelt this place when it was super busy and that's what attracted me and caught my eye. So finally me and my gf went today, and were so impressed! Service was good, very nice and she was helpful for our first time. The interior was plain but it was fine and Clean. The food was fabulous. Soo fresh and delicious!! And well priced! You pick your bowl size with lg at $9 I think, was $20 for 2 large bowls! And you fill it will you choice of fresh raw veg, noodle, &meat choice. And you can tower the bowl full, Like seriously over full!!! Then add sauces,They have sooo many to choose from with helpful recommendations! Then they stir fry it all up in front of you! I just loove me a fresh stir fry! And this is one of the best Iv had! Definitely bringing my hubby here he would love it and the big ol beer cups there seems awesome too!! (fyi, kids eat free Thursday! Students and senior and vegetarian deals other days;) )

Very interesting concept. Restaurant is to small for an obviously popular place to eat. Build your own meal and they cook it in a steel slab. Very tasty meal and the beer is an easy liter and a half. All you can eat is a challenge with the food, spring rolls and rice. I'll be back next year...

Don't come when its the busy time of the day. Super limited seating. Go easy on sauce, messy when cooked.

We came here on our way to Vancouver…read more My husband needed some quick road sustenance - and The Great Mongolian BBQ was the perfect stop. The place was clean and well maintained and the staff were efficient and quick to help us. As a customer you get to pick the ingredients that you want in your bowl. My husband selected a delicious looking assortment of ingredients, including meats, fresh vegetables, sauces, and savory noodles, and then the staff cooked it up on their iron grill. I opted for lovely hot green tea We then grabbed a cozy booth and while I sipped on my soothing tea, my husband raved about his well seasoned meal. If you're looking for a quick hearty and flavorful lunch - The Great Mongolian is a solid stop. Trust.

This is kinda an interesting one for me. I haven't had Mongolian grill in probably 10 years, so I'm…read morenot sure what I can compare this to. It is essentially a semi self-served food court experience. You go in, top up an empty bowl with thinly sliced meat, veggies, noodle, sauce and they stir fry it for you on a huge flat hotplate. All together, there are maybe 15 items you can choose from, with another 8 types of sauce you can mix and match with. I guess people go in feeling it's more of an interactive experience. With a little bit of strategy, you can squeeze in a couple more ounces of food. Food was okay. I mean the ingredients were clean.. I guess? Similar to a salad bar, or a subway, or a poke bar, there's not really any skill involved in cooking these. I even mixed in my own sauce, so they literally just had to make sure nothing was raw or burnt. The presentation after things are cooked, would be considered underwhelming. (just look at the images) For the amount of food you get, the price is fair. But would I look forward to going back there again? Probably not. I'd say a hot bowl of pho for the same price would likely be more satisfying. Food 5 Service 7 Ambiance 6 Value 6

I usually go to the Burnaby Happy Lamb location for the dinner buffet at double the price, but honestly this one might have converted me to do lunches instead. The food selection is very good and you can get your own selection of veggies off of the trays on the side. The pork, chicken, and garlic beef are also available on the side. You have to order the beef and lamb separately with the wait staff. This is much better than trying to have the kitchen staff guess how much of each item you want and getting it wrong. The sauces are also available. There are alot of choices, including sesame paste, fermented tofu, sesame oil, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, salt, sugar, green onions, and coriander. The interior of the restaurant is not as nice as the Burnaby location and overall feels less luxurious. The bathrooms were kind of sketchy. The female one had three stalls, one with a broken lock, one that was totally out of order, and a third one that was somewhat functional but had no handle to open the door from the outside. There was also no paper towels.
