I asked for a simple nail and then without even asking the manicurist puts a design on one. A design a Pre-K child would do in art class. I'm not very pleased. Besides the extra design that was unwanted, the nails weren't fully shaped right did they look professionally done. The nail polish looked exceptionally chunky. You could tell it was old. First and last visit here. I received a good pedicure but it takes more than that to bring me back. My person never spoke to me the entire time and yes she spoke English. She kept a Bluetooth in her ear throughout the visit and was constantly talking on the phone. The atmosphere was unkempt. Live right next to this place and have gotten my nails done here before and walked in to get my eyebrows quickly done before an important event. They refused my business claiming they were too busy to do eyebrows. There was no one in the waiting area. Eyebrows take 8 minutes to do. I had my first mani and pedi today and sun nails was amazing. I read many reviews from other salons and decided on sun nails and was definitely pleased with the results. I made an appointment though I probably did not need one, others were walking in. Linda spent time with me and made me feel like a queen when she was finished. I will definitely go back. read more

My and my friend went there for pedicures and it was the worst pedicure we have ever had. The ladies never spoke to us, rushed through the pedicure it took about 15 mins to complete my pedicure. This is one of the worst nail places I have ever been! When I walked in they were very rude an I noticed how dirty the place was. I was n a hurry an didn't want to go somewhere else. I wish now I did! I sat down to have a pedicure an noticed again how filthy this place was. I got my foot razored. the man didn't even get out a new razor he used one that was just sitting there! Then I had huge chunks taken out an the man yelled at me when I asked him if he could use the pumice stone to even out the chunks he took out. He jumped up started yelling an threw his towel down! I swear here in mechanicsville there isn't one nail shop I have been to that has good customer service! I would say by far this was the most nasty disgusting place I have ever been to!!! read more

I won't be back. I got a pedicure. The staff is not particularly friendly, the lady working on my nails spoke little to none but when she did it was relatively rude, the massage portion was done halfway if that, and my nail polish at the end looked like I had done it myself... or worse... which is not a good thing! After I was done the lady who had done my nails got on her phone and spoke on the phone the entire time during her next pedicure. The lady receiving the pedicure asked for a manager and then let the lady know she did not wish her to talk on the phone the entire time, that she wanted her to pay attention to what she was doing. I called at 10am, made a 2:30pm appointment and they could not be bothered to help me when I walked in; 1 other customer and 3 techs; one of them sat in a pedi chair and told me to have a seat next to her; I sat for 10 minutes and finally asked was I going to get to soak my feet and who was going to do my nails, she had the audacity to point to the only one working and said HER! I've been a follower of Sam at Sun Nails for over 10 years. She is great and never disappoints. I have had a few services done by the other techs when Sam was not available or was not working and they were great. Overall a great salon and I will continue to do business here. read more
