I decided to take a chance since this place is close to my house. From an efficiency standpoint it was great. I was out in a little over an hour and had a pedicure and dip manicure done. Although it was fast, it was far from relaxing. Having to tube my body in the chair so she could do my nails was not comfortable and trying to follow cues from two different people was a bit much. Vi did a great job on my nails, would definitely recommend her. They didn't use the liners for the foot spa which I prefer but the tools appeared to be autoclaved and packaged. If there was an option for add ons like scrub or hot stones I wasn't informed. I guess they just have one basic pedicure or maybe I was given the basic since it was 5 pm and they close at 7pm. If you're used to getting a beverage and a snack you will be disappointed. It wasn't a terrible experience but I think I will drive an exit down and stick with my usual place. read more

I am disappointed in a recent experience - enough to complain online - but, in general, this is a great place. I called on 9/15 to schedule an appointment with my favorite tech (I see her every three weeks!). I made the appointment for 9/22 at 11am. On 9/18, I called back and added my daughter to the appointment. They confirmed my appt and that "anyone" could do my daughter's nails. On 9/22, we show up at 10:55 and my tech doesn't have any appointment on her schedule for me (and she's assisting someone else). In fact, they don't have any appointments on the calendar for me at all. Rather than apologizing or even attempting to make it right (other than to tell me to come back later), they played twenty questions with me - attempting to make this "my" fault: are you sure you called Deluxe Nails? What phone number did you call? Who did you speak to? Are you kidding? I have been coming there every three weeks for a year. I know the number (and have the recent call history to show it!); I know the drill. Don't act like I called some other salon or don't know how to make an appointment!! I was so mad I walked out. I love my nail tech and - for that reason only - I will reschedule with her. But not today. Today another salon is getting our business! read more

This place nails it every time we come in! My friend and I love to come here after breakfast next door and get pampered! The first time we walked in and got seated right away. Since then we made appointments and have always been pleased. The pedicures are relaxing and professional. My friend has trouble with ingrown toenails and they are quite adept at handling her issues. I usually don't get bright colors, but for fall I went with golden yellow and a deep grayish brown metallic and got tons of compliments on my nails! I've also noticed they manicure my cuticles better than some shops that use an electric file. The methods here are much more precise and long lasting. The prices are reasonable and they take safety precautions as well. I'll come again to treat myself to a spa day!! read more

I am appalled at the way I was treated at this salon tonight. Absolutely appalled. I've grown up in this area and have been to this salon many, many times. But I won't be going back after tonight. I walked in at 4:45 & asked if they had time for me to get an eyebrow wax and a full set. They said I could do the eyebrows right then but asked if I could come back at 6:00 for the nails so I said okay. I came back at 6:00 and waited til about 6:25 when a lady came over and asked me what I wanted. (I believe her name is Annie) I told her I wanted the dip powder full set and she sees that I already have acrylic nails on and gets very irritated that I already have nails on. "What is that? What is that?" I told her they are acrylics & just need to come off so I can get a new set. She says "why? Why? Why do they need to come off?" She looks at my nails again and immediately starts to put them down. "What is this? Who did this? What even is this?" I explained over and over the nature of the nails I had on. My usual nail technician had done a powder dip nails and then a few weeks later did a fill using gel polish on top because both of us were low on time & she couldn't do a brand new set. I explained this to Annie several times and she kept asking over & over. At this point I felt very unwelcome & like I was bothering them by being there. Annie took my current nails off & the whole time made put-down comments about them and asked where I had it done. I told her I'm from out of state and I'm in VA visiting. She passed me onto the tech Jennifer and kept making comments about my nails and how "her nails are really thin". Jennifer asked multiple times who did my nails and after explaining AGAIN she said "I guess they do things differently in Utah". I didn't understand why so many put-down comments had to be made? Why not just take them off and do my nails like I asked and like I'm paying for? I showed Jennifer a picture of the shape I wanted and explained that I did not want round, I wanted almond. I showed her the picture 2 or 3 times so she could file them to the right shape. I did not get the right shape at all and they are all uneven & look terrible. I felt rushed & unwanted & like I was a BOTHER. Why not just say you don't have time & I should come back tomorrow? Why squeeze me in, treat me like crap, and do a crap job on my nails? I did NOT need to be berated about my nails and continuously put down about them. I just needed you to fix them. Also, I was charged $40 for the powder dip, $5 to take my other nails off, and then a mystery extra $10 that was not explained. Complete rip-off. Take your business elsewhere! I'm new to the mechanicsville area , So I've been going to this salon for about two months now, I ventured out once, worst mistake. But overall I have had a great time every time I come. The staff is all so pleasant and overall has great costumer service skills. I never have one specific person do my nails but each time they come out exactly how I wanted them! The only thing is that is a little different is there really isn't a huge variety of in dip colors but I always end up finding one so it's not a huge inconvenience. Until I completed my afternoon My bikini wax was perfect and I was made to feel comfortable But then I got switched to another girl for my mani and pedi. Bad mistake I was disappointed with the end result and btw. They don't tell you this up front. But if you want your toes cut shorter than what they decided to cut them. It's an extra 2.00 charge. I usually get gel nails and a spa pedicure which includes a long leg/ foot massage. In the winter I will get paraffin wax and a stone massage. They remember details about you and ask relevant questions about family vacations, kids, life in general, etc. It is extremely clean with little to no fumes that make me nervous in other nail places. The staff works tirelessly to know and love the client base in the neighborhood as well as maintain a perfectly clean environment. Prices are a rage if not slightly low. I'm in about every two weeks. My daughter and I both got pedicures, and she also got a manicure. I was left to soak until my water was frigid and she was completely finished with both her mani and pedi. Then, the tech who did my pedicure squeezed the top of my foot so hard that she left a bruise. Within a few hours, most of my daughter's finger nail polish had chipped off. My pedi lasted a whole five minutes next was my full set the girl was so snobby and rude I couldn't wait until she finished so I could leave she did and awful job she didn't get close to the cuticle so it looked like I had a weeks worth of growth already.
