We ordered chicken wings, chow fun, and Krab Rangoon.... We literally threw it all away and didn't eat it. The Krab Rangoon was weak, it didn't have enough cream cheese and just all around tasted like only fried wonton. I ate two of them and threw the rest away. The chicken wings still had hairs on them. I took one bite of the greasy wing and put it down. My bf thought the chicken wings were just ok. The chow fun STANK. We got it home and it smelled like rotten fish. My bf took a few bites and said it tasted weird, the stench began to overpower the room. We threw everything away and now have to find something different to eat for dinner. Ok-- so I was really planning on cooking, but my husband was craving Chinese food. They were open and they delivered! The food was good and the extra half star is for their free delivery, getting our order perfectly correct, and coming in a timely fashion. The portions were very large -- we have enough left overs for another lunch and dinner. And it was delivered piping hot, too. We were seeking comfort food, so we ordered shrimp lo mein, roast pork egg food yung, bbq spare ribs, and an egg roll. A pint of white rice came with it plus all the little packets of sauces and a few fortune cookies, too. The egg roll was pretty good -- there was a mix of shrimp and pork with the veggies in the filing. The bbq spareribs were a bit sweet and gloppy, but were really good. Nice and meaty on the bones. I really liked the pork egg foo yung. There were three large round eggy portions with lots of bean sprouts and onions. We shared one. On the side was a container of brown sauce to pour on or dip into. I grew up not ever having had this dish until a few years ago. Our usual Chinese food growing up wasn't Cantonese or Americanized. A girlfriend used to get this all the time in Florida and I decided to try it. It's now a "comfort" food for me. My husband had wanted the shrimp lo mein. It was good -- but a bit greasy. It had a nice amount of shrimp and a few pea pods in it, (but I prefer Singapore rice noodles with thinner pasta and a bit of curry and pizazz). Will we order from here again? You bet! read more

Though it has a rather decent dining area, Sun Rice Chinese generally appeared to me to be more focused upon Chinese takeout than table dining service. Like most Chinese restaurants in Broward, Sun Rice has an incredibly exhaustive menu with more offerings and variations on Chinese foods than I could possibly count. However like most, nothing even close to even being approximately authentic. Indeed ever dish I saw or tasted seemed to me to be a following of preparation methods started by Chef Peng Chang-kuel of New York City stylized General Tao's Chicken fame; hence all New York Chinese in style with an overabundance of thickeners and sweeteners. I had the takeout of Menu Number 918, Seafood Delight, which priced at $14.95 was a pretty good bang for the buck but overall little more than rather boring belly filler of a dish. Can you do better for Chinese? With the possible exception of Rainbow Palace on Oakland Blvd., none that I know of within Broward. read more

I decided to try it after my meeting. So glad I did. Very flavorful and delicious food for good prices.
