Although, nothing was wrong per se with the salon itself, I feel the pricing is completely off for the beds and service. Normally, at a tanning salon you're paying for the customer service involved. Not cleaning your own bed, being able to ask them to restart the beds if it auto turns on and you run out of time getting lotion on, no door access needed, or hassle calling someone who may not answer, and ID checks for minors. It also seems that setting up and getting started is a bit of an issue virtually. It took about an hour to an hour and a half to get started and when I came out to do my red light session, another couple was getting set up and I couldn't wait another hour. Also, you can't "cocktail" or do red light and tan and go from room to room, you need to stop and clean and then send the time in to the room at the front and get undressed again. I also don't feel very safe with the location of this area as the abandoned Häggen is a seedy area to be vulnerable and alone in. Anyone with money can get into this establishment, they do not check licenses or ID as nobody works in the store, that's a violation of RCW 18.370.020. The highest level beds are just decent, one has some bulbs out (that they're working on) and the other is out of order (also being worked on). They're also replacing the lower tiered beds with mini saunas with red light which is cool, but cuts down significantly on your tanning ability as you need to hop in different beds to get a great tan. Lotions are priced great, but not sure if they monitor their expiration dates (12 months) as Dylan told me over the phone that they're actually good for three years or as long as they "smell good". My husband reached out about a refund less than 24 hours after we had gone as I feel VERY unsafe and dissatisfied with my first experience and Dylan asked he call to discuss "options", but we don't even have an account created? Dylan never texted my husband back, I thought it was 24/7 service? This place feels unsafe and like an easy scam.

I discovered it at the Stanwood location when I walked in for the first time after getting an IV for vitamin C at the business next door. IVs are much more expensive in helping combat Epstein-Barr virus than the Cocoon. I never heard of the Cocoon before and read up about it after this. It has been a miracle after years of being debilitated with this relentless virus that I have not been able to keep at bay due to the cost of high-dose vitamin C IVs which I was supposed to be doing weekly. So the part that shocked me is that I ended up at this location several times and was beyond impressed with a girl working there, Kasiah. Not sure if I spelled that right but this was on the weekends toward the later day and she is one of the most personable people I've ever encountered in retail. She is extremely engaging, informed (beyond most of the others that I had dealt with), patient and accommodating. She went above and beyond to get me extra information and check into my account where I kept being told one thing and then it ended up being another and something wasn't included that they originally said was and they kept changing their stories. In my opinion Kasiah should be training the other girls on good customer service and just appearing to care. I have to also say that I have been to this location when other people had worked there and was not impressed. I wasn't even sure if the Cocoon had been cleaned and some other girl working there wasn't sure either but thought maybe it was. This was not the most reassuring answer! If I go to this location I try to make sure that it's only when Kasiah is working there.

This was my first time at the tropical tan in Edmonds but luckily they still had my information…read morefrom decades ago when I had been to a different tropical tan location for tanning. This time around I was interested in red light therapy, which I had heard about recently. I called ahead and spoke with Katelyn who was so incredibly helpful and answered all my questions regarding benefits of red light therapy, pricing, the various specials that they had going on, as well as general information. Red Light therapy is similar to tanning and that you are lying in the bed and that you need goggles. It also does get hot in the bed after being in there a while. They do have fans if you want to use them, but I prefer not to and it's just a quick easy button in the bed that you can push to turn it on or off. Thanks to Katelyn's directions I was able to find this location quite easily (it is across the street from the PCC and Starbucks. Across Edmonds Way near Bucatini). They've got a large parking lot with easy parking and it was in a building that kind of reminded me a bit of like an old German building or a ski lodge. Little bit hard to explain, but once you see the building, you'll probably understand what I mean. Very cute! Getting in and out of the parking lot is also quite easy. The tanning salon itself is nice and clean, and it seems like most of the staff are known to be very helpful and friendly, but I was really blessed that I called on Katelyn's shift who went above and beyond for me. If you are interested in red light therapy (or tanning) I would definitely check it out here. Especially because right now they have a great deal going on where you can get unlimited red light therapy for a month for only $39. I believe the price for an individual session is 25 so for just a few dollars more you get to try it out for an entire month!!! of course that special is happening now and I don't know if it will be happening when you read this review. But I would definitely recommend checking it out (or at least giving them a call to ask more information) and of course don't forget to bring your goggles!

It's the end of the month and why would I pay for a full month when my account has been unfreeze she said The people at the store that I called when I froze my account didn't notice so therefore she has to take their word over mine when I asked to deal with someone above her. She was even more rude and knowing that she is the supervisor or manager, she still wanted to be passive assertive so I kindly walked out of there. I won't be back under her watch. She has the epitome of rude and stuck up.
