I really like this spot. Nicely styled with warm ambient lighting in the spa chair area. It's close to my house, and I find the customer service and mani/pedi services in general to be great. I love getting a spa pedicure with a foot scrub; they always leave my rough feet feeling soft afterwards. When I came in around the holidays, they gave me a cute little gift bag too! The only downside I've noted is that when I get manicures, they just go straight to work on my nails instead of soaking them in warm soapy water to soften the nails and cuticles for removal. I'm not sure if it's just a different technique that they do out here, but I moved from California and every nail place I ever went to out there soaked my hands first. Every time I'm in town I use Son spa for my nails and an incredible massage. I go to Jenny for my nails and Leo for my massage and everyone in the shop is sweet and kind and it's accessible for wheelchairs. It's wonderful. This place is awesome. read more

But I asked for an itemization of the bill and was told they charged $5 more because she asked if I wanted my nails shorter. When does shortening nails slightly cost extra? The foot and back massage was good but the technician that I got wasn't as skillful. My nails didn't turn out as pretty. My gel polish was messy, shaping was completely crooked, It looks like I did it myself. The massage was for sure relaxing and quite reasonable. The hot stone spa pedicure was a big waste. Just get the spa pedicure with calluses removal and you'll be set. They need more talented nails technicians. Pricing: So with two people with hot stones pedicure and manicure and gel polish plus 30 mins massage each, everything was $260 and we felt generous and gave them extra $60 for tips for 3 people ($20 each) but it was ok. The person I see does a good job. There are two reasons I'm only giving Sun Spa three stars: 1. Some members of the staff are very loud. They yell back and forth to each other from the front desk to the back pedi section. It's quite disruptive and non-soothing. 2. The last time I was there two staff members spoke openly about what they thought of as a bad tip from a woman who had just left the salon. I just moved to Annapolis and trying to find a nail spa close to my place I found this Sun spa on Yelp so I decided to give it a try and get my manicure and pedicure done .. I asked the lady only to file my nails which I guess is very easy but she didn't even make an effort to have the size of my nails evenly so my pedicure looks weird .. right after I left the salon and got into my car this is how my manicure looked like , she didn't even bother to clean the top coat so my fingers are very sticky .. l would have done a better job myself. So I gave Sun Spa 3 stars because I specifically asked for a technician who was skilled in nail designs. I most certainly did not get that. The salon is lovely and everyone was very nice. I will most certainly go back again and give them another chance because while my design was done by someone obviously just learning to do designs. The acrylic fill was done well and my pedicure was wonderful. It's just I specifically ask for someone skilled in designs. Yesterday she was un.available and I made a last-minute appointment for nails and eyebrows. I could not have been more pleased with an hour of great service resulting in an Excellent manicure by Jason, an eyebrow wax from Mickey and a relaxing shoulder massage from Leo. I've been coming to this location since it opened and was attached to the former owners. Nothing has been lost in the transition. This is still a very clean and courteous salon. So I made the appointment this morning and was able to be seen the same day. The space is very open and calming. The massage was amazing. The gentleman that took care of my feet was very focused, and quite. There was no consultation before or after. As this was my first time getting reflexology I am not sure if this was good or bad. That being said, I loved the foot rub! It was an effort not to fall asleep it was so good. Everyone was very nice. I wish the gentleman rubbing my feet had introduced himself so I could have thanked him probably. I would recommend them and if I have the opportunity I will be going back. read more

The experience went as expected, as good as nail salons can be. Until I had my mani. The lady had to repaint multiple nails, multiple times due to bubbles, rippling & cotton ball residue. In the end I asked the lady to remove the paint & leave it as it was. At this time my mother had already paid. They refused a refund for the mani. I then noticed the pedi also had ripples, bubbles & blemishes in addition to my mother's. During the pedi the lady had also cut down my cuticles & nails more than desired. To add, she actually clipped some pieces of my skin & it actually hurt. They refused a refund even though we were unhappy with the service. When I informed the manager of my unsatisfactory service & product, including the painful cuticle & skin trimming she asked me "but did you bleed?". The lady at the front desk in fact spoke to us in a condescending manner, although we were addressing the issue in a calm and professional manner. They offered for a discounted return service. We will not be returning. I did not include a picture because I requested the lady to remove the nail polish from my mani as I was frustrated over how many times I had to request her to redo the nails. A suggestion to the owner, if you want to keep business, listen to your customers. Perhaps if I had received a refund, or a partial refund I would return for a second try. read more

This is a really great place to go if you're concerned about the cleanliness of the salon. All their tools are sanitized and the ones that can't be sanitized like the nail files and pumice stones are all one use. It's hard to describe because I've never seen another salon use these before but they worked great and i don't have to think about the last persons foot they scrubbed. We had a group of six women come in for pedicures in celebration of my nephews wedding. We have never had a shorter pedicure ever anywhere. They advertise a classic pedi lasts 30 minutes (for $35) and ours lasted 15-20 minutes at the most. They just lost six clients that will not be repeat customers. False advertising! I have went to this location for years, starting back when it was VIP. I moved about 30 minutes away but would still travel often because I loved this location so much! Unfortunately it seems the quality has went down. I went after a while of not getting my nails done, and the job originally was done great. Unfortunately less than a week later, my acrylics started breaking off all in the same spot, which is where the glue is applied. I'm not sure if the glue used was bad, or if enough of it wasn't put on, but I expected a $55 set to last me more than a week. The nails looked beautiful but they couldn't last long enough to even get a fill. I'm not sure if I'll come back after this because that's too expensive to only have nails for a week! read more

So, I called and they were able to fit me in the same day. There were extremely accommodating! Unfortunately, I got caught in some really bad traffic, so I called them to see if they could push my appointment back and they did just that with no fuss.
