I can't tell you how many compliments I get on my hair! My stylist ALICIA specializes in great color - and I always have people tell me how great it looks. I used to another big-name hair salon in the area for many years, and I was never really happy -- because I have a lot of hair, these other salons would ream me with the price and was charged more than DOUBLE of what Alicia charges. Sure it still takes 2-3 hours to color my hair, but Alicia has NEVER rushed through it. And she has NEVER over-charged me, like these other salons would. (This other salon wouldn't do as I ask -- when I said I wanted to go darker, they would say I looked better as a blonde. When I said I wanted bangs, they told me I looked better with them grown out.) But Alicia did what I wanted and I am very thankful -- I love my hair, and love all the compliments I get! And she knows EXACTLY what products work best for a person's hair type, because the stuff I bought from her and the salon (although it's pricey) is the most phenominal hair product I have ever used, and it lasts forever. And the color that Alicia puts in my hair does as well -- I used to start having roots show up 3-4 weeks after my color, but because of how natural and professional Alicia's color job is, my hair looks great for months. I am just so thankful I have finally found someone who can not only manage my 'mop' of thick curly hair, color it the way I want, cut it the way I want, and not rip me off. I am 32 years old, and have never had my hair done by anyone but my mom... untill I met Jodi at Sun Spa. My mom has been a stylist for 35 years, so I took full advantage and my naturally Blonde hair has been all the colors of the rainbow. I moved to Denver 2 years ago from CA with fire red hair, and finally realized I needed a change, and wanted to go back to Blonde. 2 coworkers go to Jodi and look great, so i decided to go. It is really really hard to strip out red hair color, not to mention I had 6" of outgrowth! Jodi explained every step to me in my consultation, and I had nothing but confidence that she could take my hair where it had to go. Thursday night, with 4 hours blocked off, we began. She lifted the red with two rounds of bleach, and then followed up with highlights, lowlights and a toner. I LOVE MY HAIR!!! Love it. It have gone horribly wrong if she didn't know what she was doing, but she did. She is the only person I will ever trust my hair to, besides my mom of course. From the minute you walk in the staff is friendly, happy, and welcoming. Sun spa comes on my highly recommended list. It is a one stop shop. Not only do they have the best tanning beds, they also have spray tan(which I have become addicted to), nail techs, estiticians, massage, and hair stylists. Yvonne is awesome, she has done my hear several times, and I would recommend her to anyone wanting a great new hairdo. I have sent several friends to her, and they have all been so pleased with their new style, they will not go to anyone else. I have had color done from her too, and have loved all the new creative colors she has tried on me. She is more of an artist, she takes the time to get to know you and is so helpful at coming up with a fresh new fun hairdo that will surely make you shine. I get tons of compliments every time I go out. I just had a massage there and it was awesome. One of the owners, Beth gave me an amazing deep tissue massage, which was exactly what I needed! I love this place! I don't at all agree with the below negative comments. I have been going to Carole at Sun Spa salon for the past three years, and was with her at her previous salon for a number of years as well. Carole is very good at listening to me about what I want and makes great suggestions about how to change my color/ cut. I have always been more than satisfied with the results! Voted on Denver's A-list as 3rd place for best tanning! (know cause i voted for them and got an email announcing it). I bought a single month unlimited and was very impressed! They looked up exact hours on bulbs when i asked and they are really new. The room i use is the 3rd room (starpower) largest room ive been in to tan before.. stocked with full length mirror baby wipes to wipe bronzer off hands after, tissue, themed decor (i mean down to the light plate switches). Sun spa is lovely, and the staff are very warm and freindly. I've decided I want to get a membership there... the room i used is only $34 a month and its a high end bed (infact i used this same one at another salon and it was their highest end bed) read more

LOVE IT!! Yvonne is the goddess of hair!! Really, she does more than just cut your hair. She studies you and your style, face, personality and lifestyle and then creates a hairstyle that you are bound to love! She is the most talented stylist I know! I love that she is at Sun Spa, this place is so friendly and relaxing. Great Staff, it's nice to go to a salon where you feel welcomed by all. I'm wondering about the girl who said she needs to bring cash, was it because your card was declined?? Hardly the salons fault.... I've used my card on numerous occasions with no problem. Some salons are snobby and pretentious it is a relief to go to a salon that has a friendly feel; they should change their name to Cheers :-) I too get my hair done by Yvonne and have sent many friends and co-workers to her and they love their hair every-time. Shauna is my hair stylist and i will never let anyone else touch my hair!! my hair is thick and long and a pain in the butt to work with but shauna somehow does an amazing job every time!! shes GREAT with both color and cutting. Aggie has been coloring and cutting my hair for years. My husband and son have their hair cut by Aggie as well and we followed her to Sun Spa, when she changed salons. I would not trust anyone else with my coloring needs. Not only do I have to have overall coloring, to cover the gray, but Aggie places highlights in my air as well. Aggie is never critical, if I have to trim my bangs a bit, between cuts. Aggie suggested I try the sunless tanning services, which I did, and loved the results. I have recommended Aggie to man of my friends and family. I hope she stays in the Denver area forever. read more

Sun Spa is great! I started as a tanning client. Salon is very clean and staff is super friendly and always helpful recommending the right products and packages for me. I have never felt pressured into buying anything I didn't want. I also started getting my hair cut and colored at the salon, by a few different stylists, all of them very professional. I've also had formal up-do styling a few times done fabulously! I'm also a fan of the esthetician, again, very professional for waxing services. I would highly recommend this salon. I used to tan here and it was awesome! Super clean, friendly, relaxing. Now I have been getting my hair done there the last several months by Shauna. She is THE BEST!! She gives a great cut and has been coloring my hair now so I can try something different. Love, love, love it! I am hooked and get tons of compliments on my new style. Aggie has been doing my hair for at least 6 months. I went to her originally for her to fix what another lady at a different salon messed up horribly. I have changed my hair color many times with Aggie and she never fails to surprise and make an amazing change to my look. There hasn't been one time since I changed to Aggie that I haven't been super surprised about what she's done. People are always commenting on my hair about how much they love the new look. so i visited thes sun spa for the first time last year and have been a loyal customer ever since then! my stylist jodi has done an amazing job! my hair is not the easiest to work with but she does such an amazing job i will never go to anyone ever again besides her!! i would also like to add that the tanning part of this salon i personally think is the best in town!! they have high quality beds for an amazing price!!! i would recomend anyone to come out here and definatly try this for yourself! you would be as happy of a customer as i am!!! read more

I have been going to Sun Spa for a month now and LOVE IT!! It only took 2 visits for the ladies to know my name when I walked in. I was very impressed. No matter who is working, the staff is always so pleasant. They explained the various tanning products to me to ensure I get the best tan for what I was looking for and what was best for me. This place is awesome and quite affordable. The staff is very friendly and they offer a lot of different packages to cover your tanning needs. I really enjoy their spray tan and have a monthly membership there for unlimited sprays.
