Both my wife and I were referred to Dr Klee for evaluation. Mostly due to age, not due to any specific complaints. We both ended up with echoes and stress tests (on different days). The staff was friendly enough. Dr Klee seemed to be good. Good manner, took the time to talk to us and answer questions. We only saw him once (each), after which it was his nurse practitioner who delivered results/reports. The techs that did the echoes and the stress tests were nice, professional, and efficient. Well, I went to my appointment this morning. They texted me the day before to come to 2075 W. Pecos Rd, Ste 1, and when I got there, I found the office was closed. Nobody there. I was told they had moved. There is another cardiologist around the corner, so I walked in and inquired. They told me that they were unrelated, that Valley Heart had moved, but they were getting a lot of people showing up there that had been told to come to the old location. I tried calling, and the phones were swamped. Estimated wait time ~25 minutes. Gee, I wonder why? So I went home. I think I will send a bill for 'missed appointment'. read more

Disgusting office. I came in for an appointment as a new patient and they tried to charge me $200. Claiming it's for a specialist visit when it says right there on my Cigna insurance card a specialist is only $50. They never communicated this obscene cost with me. This is on top of the fact that they switched doctors on me last minute because apparently Dr Stevenson was over booked. Instead of calling me to discuss this, they just tried to give me another doctor. I didn't keep my appointment and walked out of their office. I urge all of you to do the same. The cardiologist I used to see retired. So, the group joined a new company. My 3:15 appointment (which I was early for due to their instruction) had not happened by 4:15. But, I realized they had not charged me my $55 co-pay. They took my card and told me it was $125. I called my insurance from the lobby and they agreed it was $55. The front desk told me "it's complicated, but we are charging you $125". I am smart, please explain . . . well only their office manager, Krystal knows and she has no phone number and her own staff does not know her last name! I walked out. They are contracted with insurance companies and overcharging their patients. One of the ladies in the lobby was 99 years old and another 83 years old. These elderly people probably have no idea they are being overcharged. I am reporting them. They should be taken off my insurance companies list. read more

I had to call overseas to make an appointment with a practice I have been going to for almost 20 years! My doc retired, the PA resigned and they were bought by an awful company called Lifetime Heart! I have been a patient of Dr Stevenson for quite a few years. He is very knowledgeable and very very thorough. This man saved my life by ordering me a heart cath. I had very mild chest pains but due to my family history he said let's do a heart cath so we know exactly what we are dealing with I had 90% blockage in one artery and 50% in another artery. I am very thankful he was proactive and did not just dismiss me like other heart doctors did in the past. Yes he can run late bc he is so busy but he is worth waiting on. Yes his support staff can improve their response time but again I am willing to deal with minor inconveniences so I can have a topnotch cardiologist. Also. Dr Stevenson is very friendly and has always taken time to answer all my questions! Their billing department is also very nice to work with. read more

Had my first appointment with VHA and Dr. Stevenson. The front desk was outstanding, very helpful and friendly. I give the front desk 5 stars. I waited about 1/2 hour in the waiting room before being called in but do not consider this a negative as it's common with any doctors office. Once in the examination room, I was asked a few questions, blood pressure and EKG was taken. The woman (need to remember names) was friendly, polite and professional. I waited about 20 minutes for Dr. Stevenson (again common for doctors) who was the nicest cardiologist that I've ever met. He was pleasant, polite, funny and most of all, he listened. Referred by a nurse friend to Dr Estela Apolinar and so glad that we were. The parking lot was extremely busy as this is a very medical plaza and there are not enough handicapped parking spots...lol We visited the Annex suite of Valley Heart Associates and the inside is beautifully decorated. We were greeted by friendly front office staff and were taken back on time. I can not say enough wonderful things about Dr Apolinar, she was kind, patient, and very thorough with my moms new medical diagnosis. We have many follow up appointments but I know that we are in great hands under her care. Definitely recommend this Dr Apolinar!!!! read more

Was a patient of Dr. Ghasson Dalloul and he was amazing! Also treated my mom, husband and other family members and he was the best cardiologist we have ever seen. Since he has left I was transferred over to Dr. Kirvatis, who was extremely busy and did not have much time for his patients. At my last visit, after explaining my issues and concerns, he said he was ordering a referral to see a Vascular Specialist because he felt I was having blood flow issues that was causing my blood pressure to drop. This was in January 2023. I called the office in February and the person at the front desk stated she couldn't find the referral , it might be lost because the office was migrating with another office. She said she would call me back once she researched were the referral was. Its May 11, 2023 and I still have not heard from anyone at the office. I tried calling back in March and April and still received no calls back regarding the referral. Outrageous! This office is quickly going down since the departure of Dr. Dalloul and now looking on their website, Dr. Klee is leaving! Patients are suffering from the lack of concern and care from this office. Now I have to find a new Cardiologist in the mist of my health issues. Terrible and the staff should be ashamed by their of care for the patients. My husband sees Dr. Stephenson and he had an appointment this morning and the office called right before he arrived at the office and said he could not be seen because he needs a referral. He has been going to this office for more than 5 years. My husband asked, why cant you call for the referral. The lady at the front desk told my husband that she could not call because she was busy! I was a patient at Valley Heart for 15 years and suffered through the indignities of long wait times, no follow-up calls, 5 minute visits with the doctor, and rude behavior by the current office manager and one of the medical assistants. If I could go back in time, I would have avoided this office like the plague! My new cardiologist has been waiting two months for Valley Heart to send over my records. What a mess! read more

I have no issues with the doctor or nurse practitioner that I normally see. However, their "new policy" regarding test results is absurd. Had an echocardiogram performed in June. They only way I could get the results was to schedule an appointment -- and I had to PAY for the appointment just to get the results. They insist that if there were any issues with the results of the test that they would contact me. But my opinion is that I paid for the test to be run, and that should include informing me of the results. Another way for them to make money, I suppose. VERY DISAPPOINTED ! ! read more

I've now had multiple experiences here where whoever happens to be seeing me doesn't have a clue what's going on. I tried to give this office more opportunity to do a passable job but unfortunately that didn't happen. If you can't simply manage a patient file to know what has/hasn't occurred with that patient you have no credibility when it comes to dictating that patient's care. Needed to have a pre-op exam and was advised by my primary and the surgeon to "See Stevenson" I found the personnel at Valley Heart to be most courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. I especially want to commend Eric and Bill who performed the Stress Test and Victoria who did the Echo cardiogram. They all were wonderful and did an outstanding job. NP Mia is the worst. She told me to go to the ER to lower my BP because she couldn't help me due to my medicine sensitivities. I hung up from my over the phone appointment and they called me right back. Hello, Mia would like to see you in two months. I have had Dr. Stevenson as a cardiologist since 2006. He moved to a new place and that has been the worst experience that i have had with the medical staff and the billing dept. The NP is a drug pusher. I have a BP of 118-122 on a constant basis. She said that i needed to be on BP meds. I said why. Her response was i should be at 110. They wanted me on BP meds! The main reason for this review is that the staff there are rude most of the time . I just got off the phone with a holier than thou attitude regarding a $12.50 balance owed. I was explaining to them that i called and left messages for 6-8 months trying to find out where my co pay was was not applied. After the third time her saying the same thing, I said i was done wasting both our times and that i would find a new doctor that has a staff that is not rude. I am now informing my other friends who i have referred to this place - to keep looking - beware of this place. Dr. Stevenson may be a good doctor but the staff and the billing dept are so bad that it is not in my best interest to keep going to a place that treats people poorly. Also Beware of the NP - she wants you on meds and she uses scare tactics to get you to comply. One more observation. - I was in the waiting room and someone was having a hard time understanding the direction to the other location. They staff gave her a hard time and when she left they laughed at her. I felt bad for the 80+ yr old lady... Just down right mean staff. read more

This office is very unorganized and does not exhibit very much empathy once they no longer carry your insurance. I wanted to get a prescription filled but first they wanted to evaluate me. Not a problem, except they no longer carry my insurance and made it very arduous to get them to release my information to my new clinic, Premier Cardiovascular. The front office at Valley Heart is not very organized nor do they practice good communication between departments. I will not recommend them to any of my friends and family. It's embarrassing that the front staff isn't as professional or organized as the doctors that pay their salaries. read more

If you have problems with your health insurance paying in any kind of manner, STOP....DON'T GO!!! They will not work with you on any kind of insurance issues as they don't want to hear it! I can also give five stars to his nurse practitioners. The front offices have always been accommodating and polite. Their senses of humor was often helpful. Dr. Stevenson spends about 2 minutes of actual patient visit/consultation. I spend more time waiting for him. And when he finally comes this is his spiel "Everything looks normal. I'll see you next year." And that's after a stress test. Without even looking at my tracings. The few times I was actually in the office, the staff seemed friendly and nice but when I attempted to call to reschedule an appointment, I hit a brick wall. I called multiple times that week and left several messages stating I needed to reschedule and requested a return call. Not once did anyone in the office return the call. I attempted even that day to call 3 times and no one ever answered the phone. THEN 2 months later I get a call about how I missed an appointment and they wanted to know if I wanted to reschedule to which I stated no and told them I attempted to call and left multiple messages and NO ONE ever returned a single message. The girl completely ignored that statement and ended the call. Now this week, I get a bill for a NO SHOW/CANCELLATION within 24hrs and let's get real here, I am not paying that. I attempt to call their office and billing department and low and behold, NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. I left a rather frustrated message and stated point blank that it seems to be a very common occurrence within their office that they do not answer their phones. We shall see if I get a return call within the promised 24hours but it's highly unlikely. read more

This was my first visit to this practice. I called for an appointment on Friday because my previous cardiology practice failed to return my calls after pursuing them for several days. Valley Heart Associates front desk receptionist actually listened to me describe my symptoms and gave me an appointment for the next business day. They offered to not only send me the link for the new patient paperwork but offered to wait until I had paper & pen to write it down. They told me to call if I had difficulty with any of it. Following the phone conversation I received both an email & text confirming the date & time of the appointment. On arrival to the appointment, all the staff bent over backwards to help me since I have difficulty walking due to recent fractures. Everyone was professional & kept the appointment running smoothly. Dr Klee was amazing. He assessed my situation & offered a treatment that I thought should have been offered by the previous cardiologist. By the close of the appointment the staff had already obtained my medical records from my previous hospitalization. The follow up appointment was scheduled without having to wait & the prescription was sent to the pharmacy electronically before I even got to the checkout desk. I've been a patient of dr.Stevenson for over 4 years now and have an appt with him in the next week. I have been calling the clinic to get a refill of my prescription and no one has contacted me have done so, and I feel that this is for one a serious matter and two, the Medical Assistants aren't doing their jobs to fulfill request. Every time I have called one of the girls at the desk told me they will send a message to them or to expect it by the end of the day and haven't gotten anything Yet. When I come in for my appt I will be letting dr.stevenson know about the unprofessionalism at Valley. This is pathetic. read more

I`m writing this review to inform everyone of the major turn around with this office. I had to find a Cardiologist for my mother and was recommended this practice by friend. I came home to check reviews after my friend had told me how great her Cardiologist, Dr. Daniel Klee, was and that she highly recommends this office. When I saw the reviews I was a little hesitant but we did it anyways and I am so happy. Dr. Klee, and Julie the NP are amazing. The entire staff is wonderful and sweet. They have gone above and beyond caring for my mother. We even get reminder calls for appointments. This will be our 5th time going back we have been going since 12/2016, and have not yet had one disappointment. I highly recommend Valley Heart to anyone seeking a second opinion or new cardiologist. read more
