I needed to move some crates moved and so scheduled a pallet jack online. The online tool wouldn't allow me to return it on the Saturday and so I assumed that they were closed. Turns out that this wasn't correct and I could have return it on the Saturday. I only needed it for a few hours instead of the whole weekend. Now I'll just call the store because the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. TIP: Call or email the store when you have questions and don't trust the online portal TIP: The staff were very helpful and were not surprised when my credit card was declined. Call your bank to tell them to accept changes from a rental company because it is a common scam to use a stolen card. The staff explained this to me which totally calmed me down because I had a sense of humor failure when my card was declined. read more

We rented a 2 yard dump trailer that had a bad battery. Every time we tried to dump our load of fill dirt we had to connect our battery charger to it so it would dump. How about checking the batteries before you send them out? The tall woman (long hair) is the most condescending person I have met in a long time. She me like a child and "scolded" me for not returning the trailer back to the right spot. Scolded me again when I told her she NEVER told me (which she didn't). She cut my bill in half, down from $120 to $60 but never ONCE did she apologize for the the battery mishap. She's awful.... I will not ever, ever go back. When I left there I was so mad I could barely see straight... and I'm tough. If this place is the LAST rental facility on the planet, I will still not rent from them. Especially if that woman is there. She needs a pink slip, and fast, if they want to keep customers! read more

Great company to do business with!! Have rented from them a few times now and the staff is always courteous and helpful, the equipment is well maintained, and the inventory is impressive. Favorite piece of equipment so far... the Vermeer 252 stump grinder. Used it to grind out 23 large Leyland Cypress stumps in my backyard. Perfect machine for the job... so glad I didn't waste my time with a smaller grinder from Home Depot or one of the other rental outfits. Regardless of your equipment needs, I don't think you could go wrong with renting from Sunbelt. Highly recommended! read more

Kirsti from the Redmond Sunbelt Rental store worked past her shift time to find the backhoe I was wanting. I called the other locations in my area and got no satisfaction. When I called Kirsti she explained that there were many new people within the company and that she would call them and help them understand how I could be accommodated. What a team player! Sadly, I had an awful experience over the phone when trying to gather information about renting a generator during a power outage. The woman on the phone was not helpful and even came across as a bit rude when gathering necessary information in hopes of warming up our home. We rented a log splitter to split a huge pile of firewood. Good news: splitter was in fine shape, ran well, no problems. Bad news: 1) We had contracted for delivery and pickup (at a really high cost). Delivery time rolled around, no splitter. One hour later, no splitter. One phone call and two hours late, we finally had the splitter. No price adjustment for the problems with delivery. 2. Contract stipulates splitter is delivered with full tank of gas, and must be returned full or there's a penalty. Splitter arrived with about 1/4 tank of gas. 3. Recall we'd contracted for pickup. So we call to say we're done. No problem, they'll pick it up next day. Next day passes, splitter still here. We call again. Another day passes, splitter still not picked up. We call up AGAIN get a lot of flack about truck size and it's hard and they'll pick it up eventually. They finally managed to pick it up two days late, after multiple phone calls calling them to plead that they PLEASE come pick it up. There are plenty of places that rent well maintained equipment. No need to do business with one that delivers late, picks up really, really late, and gives you a lot of flack on the phone. read more

I left work early to rent a sander. I left in tears and no sander. Part of it was my fault, but the other part was a women that worked there treated me very badly. She talked down to me, and made me feel like I was a child. She kept repeating rude comments under her breathe. It was a horrible experience. I will rent from Home Depot no matter the cost now. The tool I wanted to rent at Home Depot was broken, so I luckily drove past Sunbelt Rentals. I had wrongly assumed the rental cost would be much higher. It actually was lower than Home Depot and lower than any of the rental companies near my home. They were professional and helpful. The equipment was well maintained. Very unpleasant experience. Went to get a propane tank refilled. The tank was expired which was totally my fault - should have checked. I told them I would like to get one filled today before the big wind storm hit tomorrow and asked if I was there 5 minutes after closing (5PM) if that would still be OK. The response was "Yeah, we'll still be here". At 5:05 PM, after hurrying and fighting traffic for 30 minutes, I arrive to find the place closing and they refused to fill the tank. They were correct when they said they would still be there but they could, and should, have just said if I came back after 5:00 PM I would be out of luck. I was angry but I'm not apologizing for that. I've been a customer there for many years with mixed experiences but never again. Avoid this place. It is the customer service equivalent of Ebola. read more

Never rented from Sunbelt before since their rates are higher than most local equipment rental places but was in a pinch so I decided to give them a try. Customer service was below average compared to other local outfits. The only helpful and friendly person was the yard attendant who appeared rushed and blew through the equipment oreintation. I could see that he was very busy though. Although the equipment was in fairly good shape, It was damaged early on during it's use, and I'm convinced the part was already damanged when I rented the machine. I returned the equiment on the weekend, and the staff there was unable to discuss the damage and told me that I would get a call on Monday. The staff in the office was teasing the yard attendent and he did not seem amused. I found this annoying since he was outside running around and sweating taking care of customers while they sat on their butts in a nice cool office. Monday came and went and I never got a call from them about the damage, only got a charge on my credit card. I will not be renting from Sunbelt again. read more

I recently rented a pressure washer for the weekend (this location is closed on Sunday) only to have the pull cord handle break off late on Saturday before I was finished. I called to let them know I didn't have time to get the one I had back to them before they closed for the day and to ask about getting another the following weekend at no charge. I was told to talk with a manager on Monday. When I returned the unit on Monday not only didn't they offer me another one the following weekend at no charge, when I asked they said the best they could do was give me a half day rental and charge me. read more

We are building a facility, and rented many pieces of equipment from Sunbelt, hoping all would go smoothly. We rented probably 6 major pieces of machinery, and when we called to have them delivered, they had no clue which pieces we had rented and (don't they keep a file?) wanted to charge $80 (to and from) for pick up for EACH item rented. In addition, when we called to have their equipment picked up, they said sure we will pick up tomorrow, but no one came! Everyday, for an entire week no one came to pick up AND they wanted to charge us for each extra day we had their equipment. Their attitude is very poor, they seem to never know what's going on - to their benefit. I wonder how many businesses and people they have extorted for the extra cash... read more
