My mom and I enjoyed our early Mother's Day here. I was pleasantly surprised by this place! On the outside it is nothing special but on the inside it is set up perfectly for what it is. We entered with our salads and waters already on the table. They gave us a group number for our food and our drink and dessert orders were promptly taken. The Buffett food was better than average with a great variety that matched the My Fair Lady show- Bangers and Mash, Fish and Chips, and a Beef Brisket with Brown Ale Gravy. Our I Could've Danced all Night drinks came with souvenir glasses. The servers were actually in the play! About the play- WOW! The quality of this musical was amazing. They always have great shows here and the buffet and desserts are tasty. The tips which are suggested are high, but they are to help pay the actors who are also the waiters, but you don't have to give such a high tip just at least $5 per person. The place has nice lighting and tables (most seating is 4 so you will have to sit with strangers unless you come with 3 friends) which are not facing the stage, but you can turn your chairs to see the stage better. They try to get the audience to purchase season passes which are only worth it if you join with a partner since it's like 300 each minimum. read more

Christmas and Holiday shows here have become a welcome family tradition. If you have never been then you owe it to yourself and family to experience it. I enjoy it better than live performances at The Straz in Tampa. Intimate and up close with the performers. You can see their facial expressions and feel their passion when they're in their character. Before this show, I considered the holiday song staple " Jingle Bells" trite and mundane. Actor Rand Smith really invigorated and sold that song with passion and an over the top delivery. We attended our third "Miss Saigon On Saturday, March 21, 2026. The first two were in Chicago and London, England. The Hudson, FL production was the best of the three. The cast was mesmerizing . Their passion made the characters of Kim, Chris, John,Ellen, and the Engineer come to life . Their singing voices were rich and powerful. It was an afternoon of sheer delight for my wife and I - both Vietnam Era Veterans. I lived in Saigon. Kim was Saigon. She fell in love with an American Marine, got pregnant, was abandoned by her American and eventually dies. Vietnam and America fell in love; she got pregnant with the thought of Democracy then was abandoned then died (overrun by the North). Her story is her Countries story ! read more

The music was terrific - it's great to hear a live band by talented musicians instead of taped music. The Christmas show "Kicks" was the best show I've seen at Suncoast Theater in the last four years of going. Went to final performance of Grease last night. Show itself was excellent. My wife and I have been to several other shows at Suncoast and the performances are always very good. However, the dining experience leaves a bit to be desired and last night was awful. The pieces of chicken were scraggly, the slider cheeseburgers cool and greasy, and the cheese for the fries had a film on top from cooling off. The mixed vegetables were pretty much picked over and green beans were floating in some kind of sauce. I really think Suncoast needs to step up their game to put the dining experience on par with the theatrical presentation. read more

We attended the March 21 showing of Miss Saigon. The cast, crew, and show were excellent. The food was garbage. "Chinese" foods were soggy and so salty it was not edible. The "Korean" ribs were just smoked BBQ with brown sugar and soy sauce. I'm not sure what Hawaiian rolls were doing on the buffet, but they were the only thing not salty. Rating a meal from 1 to 10 with 10 being excellent, I give it a 2 because the food was not rotting. I wish they would sell tickets to the show without the "food". read more

Came to catch a production of Cats on a Saturday night. Tickets weren't too pricy considering it's a show and dinner. It's a very fun experience. The crowd is mostly older folks and the staff is very considerate of that. There were a few younger theater-goers for sure though. Upon entering, we were greeted and led to our seats which already had salads laid out, our show programs and a list of show specialty cocktails. We got there around 6 and around 6:15, they started calling different groups to the buffet line. It was quite efficient and the food was filling with the quality ranging from average to above average depending on the dish. Nothing super special but that doesn't mean that the food wasn't enjoyable. I also got the Gumbi Cat cocktail (themed drink) which was a blackberry lemonade base and it was quite good! Sweet with only a hint of alcoholic taste. After everyone got their food, there was the chance to get seconds if one desired. The show then started at 7:30. The most wild thing was that our servers were also the performers in the show! Our server introduced himself with his name and his character name and then excused himself around 7 to get ready. The show was good! It is definitely not as fancy a production with a smaller stage and orchestra as well as plainer costumes than some other productions of Cats but the cast was quite talented. I admit that a couple of them were mid singers but the majority of the cast was very good and the dancing is superb as is expected of Cats. Especially on the smaller stage, I was very impressed with the dancing. At intermission, the cast came out in their Cats costumes/makeup to serve us more drinks and dessert which was a bit of a surreal but fun thing to witness. I imagine it can't be easy for the cast/staff though, pulling double duty with no rest in between. Very very commendable. What an interesting system. Overall, it was quite a fun experience with the dinner being good enough and the show slightly being below spectacular but still a highly talented performance. The friendliness of the staff and singular experience makes up for any shortcomings. Would probably come again for another musical. read more

The shows are usually really good. The food is ok. Nothing spectacular. The premium menu of Steak and Shrimp was disappointing. Don.t bother. Not worth the extra money. The Ambassadors are slow to refill your coffee and you might not even get a refill. Disappointing. There tip calculation policy isn't etched in stone, but it seems excessive. You have a choice on how much you want to leave. The staff is very nice most of the time. The performers usually wait on the tables here. That's not a negative for customers but it probably wears out the performers. It's not always the case. Overall, its worth the price of admission and the best we have locally. Season tickets are a good value. The e-mails they send out are not always accurate. They need better Marketing folks. read more

Went here a couple days ago and saw Jersey Boys. The production was great. Like everyone else said, the food was pretty mediocre at best. The thing that bothered me that no one has mentioned is that this facility is a fire trap. I know the odds are low, but if a fire were to break out, there is one back door and two front doors, all single file exits. I would estimate that maybe 10% of attendees would be able to make it out. That alone will keep me from going back, sadly. As stated, the show was great. The building is old and not very attractive. Ideally it would be town down, a new building built and maybe even a paved parking lot. Also, one women's bathroom with only 5 stalls for the whole building. Not ideal. read more

Our first time to this venue and we were seeing the Waitress musical which was very good on the March 9 matinee - stage sets, talent and atmosphere. Their program showed an upcoming show for the Honky Tonk Chicks and if you buy at the show, you got a $50 discount per couple if we used a code. I tried going on-line but I could only get one dot of cell service in the building and could not get access to their website. Saw a man working at the bar and asked where I would find the Box Office and he said it was not open but did not explain why since it was Sunday during a show. I explained about the lack of cell service and they had wi-if but could not find their password on the program. He said they don't advertise the wi-if code because it gets stolen and mentioned a trailer park next door. He would not give me the password but took my phone and inputted the password. I found him to be very curt and rude. When I got back to the table and told my husband what happened, he went to talk to the gentleman and also found his attitude to be self-righteous which my husband told him. After eating the buffet which was one step up from cafeteria food (fried chicken batter was so salty, could not eat it!) we decided we would never attend another event at the Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theatre. We were informed that you can not attend a show without including the buffet. read more

We saw the show Mama Mia last night with a group of friends and it was amazing. We attended a show at this same place before covid and the show was good, the food was so-so, the interior was run down. WHAT A TRANSFORMATION UNDER THE NEW OWNERS. the interior is renovated and beautiful. They brought elegance to the interior again. They have a great setup to allow for social distancing between tables. Also the buffet has special one use "air gloves". Everyone in our group of 8 were raving about the food served. There was something for everyone. I sampled many of the offerings and enjoyed all. The show was the highlight of the evening. The cast are also the wait staff before the show and at intermission. The owners came around and personally chatted with patrons. Their showmanship and the ability of the cast to work the crowd and give a hands on touch made the show feel like a giant party of friends by the end of the night. My husband and I loved it so much that we bought a 6 show season pass for the fall. They are offering a great discount if you purchase the day of the show. The show line up for the fall looks excellent. For a fun evening out with family and friends, try this place and you will not be disappointed. read more

Husband and I are season ticket holders. Majority of shows are fantastic and yesterday was no exception. The Production was "CAMELOT" and it was a fabulous presentation. The waitstaff are usually actors within the play and are all friendly and go out of their way to attend you. The buffet menus are hit-or-miss. When we saw a comedian in November 2021 they had fried chicken, manicotti - everything was delicious. It seems the last two shows of 2022 they are relying MORE on pasta dishes. The fish was in (what they called a ROYAL SAUCE") a salt/pepper/jar of mayo sauce and everyone was spitting it out in their napkins. Needs another 'lighter' sauce. They have the same old overcooked pork roast and chix cutlers which are okay. There has been NO variety. Their pastas and tomato sauce are horrible, so it leaves many to fill up on bread. Otherwise it is worth the price of admission, especially if you order your tickets now for the 2022-2023 Season. They will have EVITA, White Christmas and a Jimmy Buffet show. I would recommend them. But, one can only hope their menu improves! read more

The ad had clearly said "unlimited mimosas & bloody Mary's were included but the owner refused to honor it and would not give us a refund. (He was also very rude and smirked about our complaint.)
