Bourbain on main has good food in a lively atmosphere. When we went there was a pretty decent one man band Paul FM. Lots of seating and an upstairs with 2 pool tables that overlooks the downstairs. This is good place to chill, drink, hang out with friends. Ask about drink specials. read more

We tried BOM for lunch last week and the food was really good. The prices were pretty good considering how much everything costs these days. The waiter was excellent. Would definitely recommend. They also have a stage for music at night as well as outdoor seating which is probably really nice in the winter. Very slow service - maybe the waitress just didn't like dogs, as I had my two with me but it was slow. Dog friendly on patio which was great!!! They had some fans I believe to help the Florida heat. We were meeting a friend for a very early dinner (5:00) and good conversation on a Monday night. Shortly after we arrived, the juke box started blaring hardcore nightclub thumping music. Everyone in the place was late 30's - 60's and not what you'd expect. We asked the server to please turn it down and she did her best. She was told by the older female bartender she wouldn't let her turn it down. Read the room people! I felt horrible for the server because she agreed with us. Went there and the bar tender tried to charge me for two buckets of beer that I didn't order . I had a sandwich and a bucket of beer and tried to charge me 52 and some change. Great live band and food is served till 1200am I didnt move to New Orleans because i wanted to stay under 300 lbs.. But i had the Canjun Kabobs and it was delicious. If you're a fan of roasted oysters and can't make it to New Orleans, this place is a must-visit. They serve some of the best oysters I've had in Florida. A group of of us went to Bourbon on Main. My husband ordered the New Orleans clam chowder. When it arrived, it was so thick we could stick a spoon in it and have it stand up straight! The flavor was also nothing like one would expect from NOLA. My husband sent it back. When the bill came, the clam chowder was included on the bill. We asked our server to remove it, and she informed us that if she did, she would have to pay for it. She told us that once a food item leaves the kitchen, they can;t take it off the bill, unless the server pays for it. This is ridiculous! Needless to say, we will not return. read more

I have the cheesesteak. Southwest as a person coming from Philadelphia, the home of the cheesesteak, the cheesesteak was nothing to be bragging about. It was standard sliced beef from US FOODS or another commercial supplier. The role was different, soft as it may have been par baked. I did get fries on the side, but I've got to tell you that nobody asked for any kind of seasoning to be put on them, but they were doused some type of seasoning. Best part of my visit was the server. I was skeptical of trying this place because of the reviews, and glad I did! Met my bestie here for dinner and sat at the bar - friendly and excellent service. It was $10 for 10 wing night. They were so good. We ordered naked (always) with the BOM sauce. Holy shitballs - try it!!!! It could have had a bit more heat, but they were the BOMB! We also split the BOM burger with cheese. That bun is so soft and the burger was good perfectly. We ordered medium and it still had some pink - muah! Very reasonable priced and I up charged for the two dollar shrimp which were big plump and juicy. Very filling. really good potato skins, which was so fun to have because you don't see them much anymore. Happy hour on a Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock with discounted well drinks. Tasty and nice and strong. Lauren is a really great waitress. Unfortunately, another waitress called out last minute, which left her to handle a very busy back deck and a bartender who's handling the bar which was half full and some of the other tables. One of our favorite spots in NPR. Live music, GREAT staff, and super tasty food and dranks. Bree and Ben always take great care of us at the bar. ALWAYS friendly, smiling and fast. Some places just don't have staff like this, and its sad. As a service industry person myself, I understand how people should be treated and appreciate how they treat guests here. These two especially (along with others) are always really kind and happy to see us. If they cant get to us right away (the norm), they're smiling and telling us they'll be right with us. PERFECT service, EVERY time. As far as the food goes...we've only had a couple of things, but they've both been amazing. We first stopped in for their Jambalaya....and lemme tell ya, it rivals anything I've had, even down in NOLA. Makes you feel like you're there with the spiciness and the deliciousness. Our other favorite treat is the nachos....WOW! Also some of the best we've had..anywhere. It's hard for us to pick something else when they are so good, but I'm sure whatever you order you won't be disappointed. We love the fact that they have shot specials, and their beers are always reasonably priced. Unlike some places that like to gouge you....this place wants you to come back, and it shows. As a former caterer in New Orleans, I was impressed with Bourbon on Man. The service is excellent and the music "gets you going!". I ordered the Fried Shrimp Platter and Gumbo. The shrimp and Cajun fries were excellent, but I suggest they add coleslaw to the platter. The Gumbo was very disappointing! We came in to visit friends, so four people on a Monday night went here for drinks and dinner. We hit on their bingo with the theme of Christmas in July- we had a great time. The service at the bar and food wise was a little slower than I would have expected, but our server mentioned that they aren't normally as busy, so I am wondering if management should review the number of staff in these nights. Just had the worst experience ever at Bourbon On Main, a place I go every single week and recommend to people constantly. An embarrassing display by your weekend GM, I genuinely understand weekends are busy and loud, but if you can't fix two issues of poor food quality/your waitress taking the wrong order, idk if that is the position for you lol. Absolute shame, genuinely one of my favorite restaurants where I recommend to out of towners looking for good food. I honestly don't think I'll be doing that any longer, I don't think I can put my support behind a business that would have a policy like that. Really a shame, I never like doing this. I write amazing, positive reviews for local businesses and do all I can to uplift them, but I feel obligated to speak out about how horrible this way. Never thought I'd be this mad about a local restaurant I love and support acting this way but I guess it is what it is. I'd have some genuine concern recommending them again after this unless something is done. Your GM coming up and disrespecting customers, asking THEM to take a loss for the fact your staff messed up an order (after an absolutely bone dry chicken sandwich I had to send back because it was disgusting) is borderlines unacceptable. I went to see The Shakes, awesome band, the ENTIRE BAR WAS PACKED.Kudos to the bartenders for handling it best they could. True getting a beer was a fight, but the Owners know that if there's a good band ADD EXTRA STAFF. There was a woman behind the bar that night, and she did an EXCELLENT job handling this obnoxious, nasty man .. actually came out from behind the bar amiss the madness and bought him his beer.... She's GOOD... I'm sure she wanted to break it over his pointed little head. Overall, good dance floor, good bartenders, and the owners need to heed when they need more staff. I hate writing bad reviews but this was just annoying. My wife's shrimp were dry and over cooked, but my teriyaki boneless wings were good so I will give them 2 stars. I ordered a tsunami and it wasn't at all as described. My wife was done with her Bloody Mary so she drank my drink as I ate my entire meal with out a drink. Once I finished my meal the waitress came to check on us and I asked for a water... she still proceeded to greet another table before getting me a water. I understand Everyone has there days and maybe they were under staffed but either way.
