I hate to say it, but I'm not a fan. They're probably a great local spot if you're looking for drinks and bar food, but I cannot recommend them for an actual meal. We had a pulled pork sandwich and a Lobster Roll. First off, the lobster roll was not lobster, it was "Lobster Sensation," which if you didn't know, means "fake lobster." See how I put quotations around the phrase "Lobster Sensation"? That's because it's the culturally accepted way to denote a faux meat. Sure, perhaps I might have known by the use of the word, "Sensation," but I don't think that's clear. I often hear people refer to food as "sensational" or "a sensation." But that doesn't mean it's fake. It's not clear enough to prepare us for the disappointment upon finding out it was not lobster. On a bright note, the fries were fantastic! Definitely get those. Plus the pulled pork was pretty good. So if you go to this seafood place, order the pork. One final note, there was a slight smell of musty water or maybe mold. We were really hungry so we tried to ignore it, but we're not going back. There are too many other restaurants to try to go back to this one.

First time in since new owners and new name. The bartender, Danielle, was wonderful! Met us with a big smile and took great care of us. We had the Wednesday Pasta Special and it was amazing! We took two friends the next Wednesday and they loved it too! Had the best Meatball Hogie that night. Located right on the river, on the edge of downtown, across from Sims Park, with plenty of on-site parking. Give them a try!

Average, overall just average for the prices. First of all, 1/2 the menu is listed as "market price" so when I asked for "today's pricing" our server said he stored the prices in his head. Okay so we asked the pricing for 6 items or so. Prices were all over the place! Really super high on some things & low pricing on others. None of it made sense. AND I guess the prices that were stored "in his head" changed by the time our bill came. Seriously odd. The food was good however. The shrimp were very good, large with a light breading. Fries were very good too. Also very healthy portions on the calm basket & shrimp basket. The oysters on a half shell weren't shucked correctly so 1/2 of the oyster was still attached to shell. Disappointing. The hush puppies weren't bad & they were large, but not fantastic. All in all the whole experience was off. Will we go back? My guess is no.

Excellent experience! Food was hot and tasty Hannah was a very attentive and conscientious Server! We had the Grouper sandwich with fries, x2 grouper baskets one with fries, the other with potato salad!! The fish was so fresh and tasty!! Abundant portions!! We also had a cup of New England clam chowder and a cup of lobster bisque soup !! Both were Amazing!!! The restaurant itself was very clean, and the staff are very friendly . We would definitely go back.!! We highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner ... the pricing is in line for the amount of food that you get!! we took enough home to have another meal! IMO - I think a tiny side of coleslaw should be included with any sandwich or basket.

We only did a To-Go order so I cannot rate the service or atmosphere. But I can on the food! My son and I ordered the Seafood Medley for two and my parents got the Clam Chowder and Lobster Roll. Everything was fantastic! My mom said it was the best clam chowder she has ever had. We will definitely be returning!

Arrived at 6pm on Friday. Found an open bar stool. Greeted with a smiling face immediately. The shot was chilled and the pint was cold. Great variety on the not-to-big menu. Ordered the scallops appetizer. A half pound seasoned and grilled. Quite possibly the best scallops I've ever had! Perfectly prepared. Came with a side of slaw. I highly recommend this place. I'll be back.

We decided to try out the new location for Get Hooked and we enjoyed our meals! The restaurant was recently renovated and opened since Hurricane Helene impacted their original Hudson, FL location. The staff was pleasant and attentive and the food was fresh and hot! I enjoyed a huge fried fish sandwich and my husband had the enormous Salmon BLT...both sandwiches could feed 4 people! We wished that the lobster roll on the menu was not "lobster sensation," maybe a real one appears as a special now and then...we'll have to find out. The conch fritters that we started with were tasty, but expensive, all different sizes, and not loaded with conch. We will definitely be back to try some more soon!

Fish time visiting Get Hooked's downtown New Port Ritchie location and nothing but utterly impressed! Nicole was our waitress and let us through an amazing dinner. From the daily catches of Snapper and Hogfish and dad's club sandwich. All were cooked to a perfect temperature. Not often enough is food cooked perfectly and served timely! An amazing dinner and next time visiting mom and dad we'll be coming back again for another awesome dinning experience! Oh the portions were so plentiful we couldn't even think about dessert!!! Go and enjoy!!!!

It's very clean and has a heavy mariner vibe which is fitting for a seafood restaurant. Lots of plastic fish hanging from the ceiling, giving it that perfect traditional Florida vibe. Overall I have little to say about this but it was nice! So...Service wise, I'mma be honest; they're actually inefficient and possibly dismissive. I've seen people who've been here for a shorter period of time than us get served quicker, and truthfully I was anything but amused which left me questioning the why. Even for a New Year's Eve it didn't seem too busy, and thankfully they eventually noticed and assigned us a very polite and attentive waitress, but I wasn't happy about that regardless. Food wise, it was decent! The crab fries felt like a nicely stewed poutine with good seasoning, the coconut shrimp with the spicy sauce had a kick...and the Trio Seafood Pasta? Well...It felt really bland compared to the appetizers which was surprising and disappointing. One thing I would like to give them credit on is their respect for people with allergies. When they learned someone in my party had a seafood allergy? They separated everything from the seafood and I really did All in all...While I enjoyed some parts, it really was not what I was hoping for. Not bad, necessarily, but not good enough that it warranted dinner on New Year's eve.

It's a large space with a modern bar, booths along the windows, tables scattered throughout, and two event rooms on either end of the main dining room. Sara greeted us promptly, as usual with a smile, and was attentive without hovering. I had a Buffalo Trace Manhattan, she had an Angry Orchard, and my small glass came with enough ice to keep it in the freezer for the next shift. I had the blackened shrimp tacos. Tasty, with a little tang, but this is where the pricing starts to raise an eyebrow. They were $17 for 2, and most other places give you 3 for $16 or less, usually with sides too. She had the steak quesadilla at $18, which also felt a little steep. Most others are $14 or less. Still, she enjoyed it, so there's that. For once, there was no 3% credit card upcharge, but at these prices, you have to figure it's already built in somewhere. The food was good overall, though I think the meal came in about $10 high. I also hear the place is for sale. Good food, service, ambiance, and view. All pretty common on the Gulf of America -- which is kind of the point, I guess. They've got a few easy, not-too-expensive fixes, so I'll leave it to you to be the judge.

Sat at the bar, because we like the vibe there better. Super impressed with the bartender. Not only made great martinis, she's a certified sommelier and had great recommendations for wine pairing with food. Started off with some raw oysters. Prepared properly (separated from the bottom shell). Fresh and tasty. Next was the appetizer special, seafood mix salad on crispy potato bars. Interesting and tasty. Finally, we had the grilled octopus. Seriously some of the best I had. Nice and tender and grilled just right. Service was outstanding and attentive. Atmosphere was lively, without being noisy. So, no substitutions. The menu says so, the server will remind you, and honestly? It's a chef driven menu. Interesting background, too: Chef/owner James Renew spent 28 years training with chefs across Florida, Las Vegas, and Sydney before opening Estuary. Apparently, they've been voted among the best restaurants in the Tampa area two consecutive years running. It shows. We started with the crab beignets -- crispy, golden, and paired with a jalapeño aioli that managed to be interesting without setting your face on fire. Nicely done, though I wouldn't have minded a little more kick. The steak frites were the star of the show. The steak was cooked absolutely perfectly. The fries? Cooked in duck fat. DUCK FAT. Honestly, tasted like fries to me -- and a little underdone at that. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly proud of the place -- rightfully so. The Buffalo Trace Manhattan on the rocks was dangerously good. Drinks all around were solid. Total came to just over $100 for two before tip -- fair for this quality. Fair warning though -- they tack on a 3% credit card surcharge. Unnecessary and a little annoying at this price point. Nice higher end restaurant in the new downtown. Reasonable prices without being pretentious. We'll be back.
