I went to this restaurant for the first time with family. The restaurant was nice inside, our waitress was ok, but overwhelmed and had attitude when I reminded her of separate checks. I ordered the Salmon Rockefeller. It looked delicious.. It is made with a skinless salmon filet, cream cheese, spinach and mozzarella cheese then baked to melt the cheese. It was very dry and hard. I had to eat it due to family not liking complaints and the $30 price. I also had a fresh salad and rolls that were delicious. The potato salad was very sweet so I skipped eating it. My mom and cousin had a stuffed founder and it was ok, but not worth the price. The fish portions (except the grilled snapper) were small and the food wasn't very good. We're definitely not going back. It's way too expensive and obviously they don't know how to cook fish correctly(crazy for a seafood restaurant!) I put 2 stars because my daughter had the grilled yellow snapper and that was delicious and cooked correctly. read more

So me and my family have noticed this place for years after driving past it so many times, and we had chosen this place for New Year's...I have thoughts. Ambiance wise? It's very clean and has a heavy mariner vibe which is fitting for a seafood restaurant. Lots of plastic fish hanging from the ceiling, giving it that perfect traditional Florida vibe. Overall I have little to say about this but it was nice! So...Service wise, I'mma be honest; they're actually inefficient and possibly dismissive. I've seen people who've been here for a shorter period of time than us get served quicker, and truthfully I was anything but amused which left me questioning the why. Even for a New Year's Eve it didn't seem too busy, and thankfully they eventually noticed and assigned us a very polite and attentive waitress, but I wasn't happy about that regardless. Food wise, it was decent! The crab fries felt like a nicely stewed poutine with good seasoning, the coconut shrimp with the spicy sauce had a kick...and the Trio Seafood Pasta? Well...It felt really bland compared to the appetizers which was surprising and disappointing. One thing I would like to give them credit on is their respect for people with allergies. When they learned someone in my party had a seafood allergy? They separated everything from the seafood and I really did All in all...While I enjoyed some parts, it really was not what I was hoping for. Met an old friend at Catches for lunch today. It's a beautiful setting near a marina. Our waiter was very attentive and offered suggestions for us to consider. We began with a good hot cup of clam chowder thick and zesty. Then we both chose the Fish and Chips - 2 large pieces of haddock fried to perfection with seasoned fries. What a wonderful meal and such a fun atmosphere. My server, Sheila, was perfect. She was friendly, efficient and quick with my food. It seems a little quiet for a Friday evening but there's quite a bit going on in the other rooms. This is a giant restaurant and would be great for an event. Not going to lie, I was a little hesitant to go here based on reviews but I decided to take a chance and I am honestly glad I did. My husband and I were driving up the coast that day and decided to stop here for lunch. The inside of the restaurant is really beautiful and has tons of windows overlooking the water. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. It was a nice day so we chose to sit out on the patio. Our waitresses was so nice and was quick to get us our drinks and made sure our glasses were always full. She had several suggestions for food and I picked the Shrimp Pesto. The serving size was huge and was very fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend stopping here if you happen to be in the area! read more

We went for the 1st time on Valentine's Day for a late dinner. We got some cocktails and started with the tiki shrimp and calamari. The drinks were excellent and I loved the tiki shrimp! The calamari was ok, a little soggy and chewy for my liking. For entrees, we got the captains platter blackened and stuffed flounder. I absolutely loved the scallops and flounder. The crab cake had a bit too much filler and not enough crab and I got a rancid shrimp. I also think there was way to many green beans and not enough rice. My husbands stuffed flounder came out cold but he ate it. Our waitress was excellent! Very attentive, even on an extremely busy night. The inside was a lot nicer than I expected it to be. Overall, we had a great night and will return one afternoon to sit outside and try some other items. read more

I made a reservation for brunch here for Mother's Day. I was not aware (or I didn't read the small print) that for Mother's Day they only offered a special buffet. The food was good, nothing to rave about, I really want to go back and try it on a typical evening. They did add an auto-gratuity but it was tagged as Holiday and was 20% which I typically do anyway. The views are absolutely STUNNING. Marina docks with beautiful boats surround the rear if the dining room. There is a large deck with outdoor seating (it rained while we were there.) The interior is high ceilinged, open and airy with maritime decor. Having grown up on Cape Cod with boats, my family just loved it. I'll update this after my husband ad I have a second visit. Went there on a Friday no reservations was seated immediately @7:00 pm right next to window with water view. Very nice inside. Server was polite and tentative. We are locals who fish..that being said the stuffed flounder was delicious and fried shrimp were very good...had a raspberry lemon drop martini and it was delicious!! what I did have a problem with was the 3% fee being charged to my bill to use my card! I didn't have enough cash to pay bill and leave a nice tip so I had to pay with card. I feel as if I'm being penalized for not paying in cash. With that being said we will return for dinner and drinks and will have enough cash next time to pay bill so we don't get charged 3% to use card. Lesson learned!! read more

Solid place to grab a bite to eat. It's been years since I've been, but going here again, I'm glad it has improved over time. When the weather is nice, outdoor seating is great. You get good views of the water and just seeing people boating and enjoying the weather. Service is solid, with friendly servers. The food is solid as well. Just finished a meal here and can not overstate my disappointment. - Drinks came out after appetizer and main entrees. All items served by different people. - My main entree was grouper and was raw in the middle. - Had to ask the bartender who delivered the drinks after the entrees to send the raw fish back - The manager came by to ask if he was "remaking me a steak or something?". Offered no apology. - Original server stopped by after manager and was unaware of the situation. I expressed our disappointment but was sensitive to the fact that she was new. - Remade dish came out, fish was tough and spongey. Rice was dried out. Barely edible. - Asked for the manager to express the new meal was still subpar. Got our first apology of the night. This entree was taken off the check. -Waited an additional 15 minutes for the check and paid $75 plus tip (because despite abysmal service from the entire staff, we acknowledge people work off tips and need to live). All in all, paid $100 for my husband and son to eat "eh food", to not have a meal myself, and be treated like an inconvenience at a restaurant. Major bummer as we've been here before and had a great experience. Server was sweet and well natured - I wish her well and do feel badly to be a complainer on her second night. Been here multiple times, but this time was the best I have had. My husband had the dried shrimp dinner and I had the stuff flounder. Both meals were excellent. My husband's exact words is "that is the best fried shrimp I have had". The server was extremely nice as well and the tables are still decently spread apart for those who do not want to sit on top of each other and share the many coughing germs. We had a beautiful table inside but off the water so also a great view. We made reservations. They did not seem extremely busy when we got there but that does not mean they are not busy later in the evening. We will be back. read more

My husband and I joined a group of friends on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate several birthdays at this lovely location overlooking the river. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and there was lots of boat traffic to make the water view incredible. We had a reservation for our group and there were two waiters taking our orders. I chose a platter of fish, shrimp, scallops and a crab cake with rice and sweet plantains, and hubby had the peel and eat shrimp with cocktail sauce. Others in the group that didn't want fish chose salad with chicken, a steak or cheeseburgers. Whenever a restaurant has a large party, it either rises to the challenge of coordinating the meals or it flounders and fails. This experience was a failure unfortunately. Meals were delivered sporadically by runners who called out the order for you to identify. One gentleman ordered a plain burger - no cheese, no onion - that NEVER came. After everyone had their meal he was left sitting waiting with only a glass of water. Unfortunately everyone was disappointed and he decided to leave, and we couldn't blame him. The food I had was very good and hubby enjoyed his shrimp, even bringing some home to finish. This restaurant was one of the first we went to when moving into the area several years ago, but this experience has tarnished its reputation for us. We noticed other groups and families leaving after their meals so it is very popular. Not sure I can recommend after our recent experience. read more

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and distinctive white decor with some nautical themes, including some very large "stuffed" fish worth checking out as you get to your table. Decent range of menu items. I'd recommend asking which fish dishes are fresh, as some are frozen. I'm sure even the frozen ones will taste fine, but I prefer trying what's been caught and brought in as recently as possible, unless it's not a fish I'd order. Our server Liza was super: experienced, snappy and great banter. She elevated our experience. My grouper fish tacos were delicious. Not an enormous meal, but if you share an appetizer or plan on one of their many desserts, it's just right. My brother liked the salmon he ordered. The other entrees our table ordered had a lot of sauces that competed with the fish. Wasn't as well received. Definitely recommend this place. I am having such a great at Catches! Met with my parents, and their cousins for dinner. Gotta say I love the view of the waterfront! Shaylee has been our bartender and now server, and she's been fast in the refills department and was perfect as per our orders! We had bisque cup and bowl and chicken tenders for appetizers. As per our main courses we had salads, chicken Alfredo, and two fish fries. The establishment is spotless clean and I'd probably eat off the floor without any problems. If you have more in your party you may want to call ahead and make a reservation. They had a decent size parking lot, with a boat in the middle of it. Rest rooms are very clean We had 3/5 grouper bites - they were oily, the sauce in the side was super thick. Had to spread on to the group vs dipping 2/5 coconut shrimp- very hard fried and crispy 3/5 fish and chips- this is a large portion, again this was very oily which made it had to eat.
