Been wanting to try ice cream here and this Saturday was warm enough for it. This restaurant is close to Lizard Thicket in Florence. Our order was 2 chicken gyro, fried zucchini, 1 strawberry sundae, 1 baklava sundae. First off you need to bring a big appetite I only brought a medium one so it was more food than needed. The fried zucchini at $7.50 was a lot more than both of us could eat. This could make a good party appetizer, included ranch dipping sauce. The chicken gyro were excellent I haven't had one that good in long time, worth price and large, a meal itself. I realize baklava is not my dessert of choice but some ppl might enjoy. The sundae ice cream was ok not really memorable IMO. Included whipped cream & cherry. Her sundae was also just okay, worth coming back to sample actual ice cream flavors and try cones in summertime. We are on site under canopy, limited parking in front, little on side, overflow maybe into dry cleaner next door. I thought the prices were slightly high but that's just me.

Visited the Sundae House on my way to Myrtle Beach and there was a good sized line in the drive thru at about 6:30 on a Wednesday night. When I visited, it was in the midst of the Coronavirus outbreak with high case numbers in South Carolina so I surprised when no one inside the restaurant was wearing a mask. Not great. I got two hot dogs (a chili cheese dog and a carolina dog), an order of onion strings, and a clarinet to drink. The dogs were good; big thick hot dogs with flavorful chili. The cheese in this case is good ole slices of American that are well melted. The order of onion straws was a really healthy portion. There was ketchup underneath the foil which I didn't realize so I walked up and use the ketchup they had available in the seating area. The clarinet was delicious. Very sweet, cherry lemonade basically. Sold almost exclusively around the Florence, SC area. All in all, a tasty place. I'd definitely be interested in trying more of their menu if I'm passing through the area again.

Stale & Half of a roll

Giving 3 stars because the food is good but the service is complete garbage. The two girls upfront just don't care about what they charge you or what you receive. I got my food half opened stuck out the window, not even in a bag. Kind of disgusting. Along with that i didn't receive any of the extras i ordered. and i got half of a roll lol, Hire better people. Slack people = Slack Business.

Great ice cream shop- best place to get ice cream in Florence, especially soft serve. We always got the chocolate dipped ice cream cones until we discovered the Baklava Sundae. You must try the Baklava Sundae! I moved away and miss it so much! The food is pretty good too, but no one comes here for the food- you come for the ice cream and desserts. It's outside with open air seating- no inside, but you can do the drive through. I recommend sitting outside and eating your ice cream as it melts quickly and could make a mess in the car.

Bug on Greek grilled chicken dinner.

I've always loved the food here, but the extra seasoning has me rethinking their cleanliness. Surely they saw that when they packaged the food?

Literally got 3 tiny pieces of chicken on the Greek grilled CHICKEN salad. WAY too expensive for very poor quality. Called back and they didn't do a thing about it! Do not go here

Yum! What a pleasant surprise! Stopped by for a quick lunch on our way through town, and tried the Greek salad (crisp, cold, and colorful), fries (great flavor), grilled chicken gyro (well seasoned chicken and refreshing tzatziki), and milkshakes. Everything was tasty and fresh. Service was fast and friendly too. Only downside was that there is only (covered) outdoor seating available, and the one bathroom is behind the building after you walk through the drive through lanes - a little dangerous with kids. Overall, we really enjoyed this place and if we were local, we'd be back!

After having the crab cake sandwich we would recommend doing the platter because the bread overpowers the crab cake. Everything was incredible, the flavors, consistency, and quality. It is for sure comfort food but nothing sits heavy and feels super fresh. Not a fan of coleslaw but it was super yummy and great corn fritters for our first time having them. Service was great. Ambiance was super informal and adds to the vibe of what you're eating. Also unrelated but the cashier/server has a super calming energy/presence/voice which totally added to the vibe

Came with slaw, 1x Side (Collard Greens: sweet vinegar with some heat, and a bit of pork, really good!), and some AMAZING Hushpuppies (fresh, sweet corn bread). Shrimp & Grits: Fantastic! Buttery and cheesy grits with sausage and nice shrimp (not over-cooked or chewy). Green beans were slightly too soft (30-mins until closing), but good comfort food. Coleslaw was "meh," but a good, crunchy foil to the fish and rice. Counter Service (order at register, then they bring to table/to-go) was quite fast, given that they had to cook the fish and prep foods for take-out. Everything looked clean, staff was nice, and owner was talking to everyone. Didn't get to try the variety of desserts, but they looked and smelled great. Traveling, but worth the stop!

While staying at the Hyatt Place, we were happy to visit Town Hall restaurant which is directly diagonal across the street. The restaurant is very attractive and modern - it appears that Florence is going through somewhat of a Renaissance, and they are developing around some very nice hotels and restaurants, complemented by a small town feel. At this restaurant, there is apparently a rooftop bar/patio, we enjoyed the dining room instead. Our server, Lara quickly approached and offered drinks and some menu suggestions. We wanted to sample many things, so we ordered a number of appetizers rather than going with entrees. Some that I would highly recommend include the cornbread, the seared scallops, and the grilled chicken wings. We also enjoyed some shrimp skewers which were good / not great, and some calamari which is prepared very differently than we're accustomed to - if you do get the calamari, ask first about the preparation. This is a moderately priced restaurant, for us it was about $50 per person, you can certainly get reasonably priced entrees for less, and it may be quite a bit more for people who may be drinking. Since there is a full bar, it appeared that many tables were coming as much for the drinks as they were for the food. If you happen to be in the Florence, SC area, this is certainly a great choice with a beautiful dining area, wonderful service, great food, and a walkable and safe downtown area.

The duck was extremely salty!! I mean tasted like they don't measure and had a bad taster. It was terrible. The calamari was the tiniest and saltiest appetizer I've ever seen for $15, The catfish had a bed of extra spicy, salty rice again with the salt. The collard greens were both too salty and too sweet. Cucumber salad had an unpleasant taste. The shrimp skewers, steak, burger, truffle fries, mashed potatoes and cornbread with guava butter and were seasoned well. I ordered the $49 filet mignon and my receipt showed a $54 charge, with not 1 side. The waitress dropped the birthday cake off and kept going. I asked if they would sing happy birthday she said no and walked off, extremely cold. They made us sort the $1027 bill out among 18 people, awful experience. Almost all of the group's food needed to go back bc of the salt overload, except the burgers, shrimp and steak. Definitely won't be returning.

He was SO hospitable, sweet and genuinely welcoming. He gave great recommendations and did not steer us wrong. These days, it's not always easy to come across service like that, which made it even more appreciated. I ordered the Sunset Blush drink and it was delicious. We also got the cornbread and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the BEST cornbread I've ever had. So soft and flavorful. The brisket sandwich was a little dry (could be because we went during closing) but still had really good flavor. The mac and cheese though... WOW. I am very picky with mac and cheese and most places miss the mark, but this tasted homemade. Easily a 10/10. My husband got the peach bourbon burger and said it was great. The kids ate everything in sight which is always a win...lastly the cinnamon roll cheesecake for dessert... phenomenal!!! Overall such a great experience and I'm really glad we stopped in!

After driving 15 hours on March 21, 2026, my husband and I were genuinely excited to try this place and planned to take our food back to the hotel. Unfortunately, the experience started off poorly and never really recovered. First, parking is extremely limited out front, which is frustrating when you're tired and just want a quick pickup. Inside, things only got worse. The front-of-house staff was shockingly unprofessional. The employee helping us clearly didn't understand her job and had to be corrected multiple times by another staff member--something no customer should have to witness. It created confusion, delays, and zero confidence in our order. We paid about $50 for a sampler, which is not cheap, and yet the same employee argued about giving us the sides because she entered the order incorrectly. If another, more competent employee hadn't stepped in, I'm convinced it would have escalated further. Even then, we never received one of the four sides we paid for. To make matters worse, we were never asked if we wanted drinks to go, and we weren't given plates, silverware, or even BBQ sauce--basic essentials for a takeout order. That's just unacceptable. While waiting, we also watched this same employee tell three separate dine-in families to go sit and wait while she stood there rolling silverware. Completely rude and dismissive. If I had been one of those customers, I would have walked out. This is the first impression customers get, and it's a terrible reflection of how the place is run. Between the disorganization, poor communication, and outright unfriendly behavior, the service was a mess. The only reason this isn't a one-star review is because the food itself was actually very good. The burnt ends and ribs were the standout--absolutely delicious. But great BBQ can't fully make up for such a frustrating and poorly managed customer experience.
