I thought I would be able to walk away from this situation and not have to think about how messed up the installation on my blind spot monitors was. That's not the case... to put the blind spot monitors in, they had to dismantle my dashboard. I was driving down Greenback Lane which I must admit is pretty darn bumpy but it sure as heck it's nothing like going 4 wheeling. I had a rough patch in the road and my entire dashboard popped out and was falling off. It came out and down about 3 inches. Some of the clips had been damaged And I had to use an alternate to get the dashboard to go back on somewhat properly. I hope that's the last little bit of nightmare that I get from this business. read more

TL;DR: Great service in helping troubleshoot a defective car alarm, and replacing it with a new one. We have an old car. Its initial after-market alarm system broke, and we had a replacement system installed towards the end of September. Once I got home, it started to exhibit a mysterious problem of constantly arming & disarming (thus locking & unlocking) on its own. It seemed to happen while parked in our garage for the most part (i.e., could not find a way to re-create it at will when parked at other locations). The original installer did not respond to numerous messages (via voicemail and email) we left over the next month. We contacted the distributor of the alarm system brand, and he suggested Sundance Car Audio. I called one Friday and talked with Claude, who said to bring the car in for a troubleshooting session. The following Monday morning I met Iman, who checked the wires and system. He couldn't reproduce the symptom there, but made a couple of fixes (the valet switch wasn't working, and the shock sensor was set to max -- too high). I took the car home, but the original symptom didn't resolve, as we feared. Back to Iman, who spent time to check some more electric system parts. There was no charge as it was a part of the first visit (troubleshoot session) charge. But its behavior did not improve. Iman could not think of anything other than the CPU of the system being defective. So, we had to bite the bullet and replaced the system with another brand, as well as installing new wires. Iman explained that the troubleshooting charge would be applied towards the cost, and they would give my money back if that did not resolve the mysterious problem. Iman spent time to install the new system/wires, and to patiently explain how it works. That did the trick, and our car now has a functioning alarm/lock system. I appreciated Iman for spending the time to help us find a way to resolve our issue without having to replace a newly installed system. And, when it was not possible to find the source of the problem, he took care to install a new system with the promise of giving money back if the new system exhibits the same problem. I took the car there three times and always felt he truly listened to my concerns, and did his best to help me resolve this mysterious problem. I would give a lower rating, if I could. They installed after market headlights, on my 2002 gmc sierra. They did not adjust the headlights, said they had no room in their shop. The LED high beams pointed at the ground. They put halogen bulbs in the high beams. They still pointed at the ground. I adjusted the high beams myself, but they would not adjust. Sundance never reached out to me, not until I filed a complaint with the BBB. Would not recommend them for anything. read more

I wanted to write this review after a few months to see the quality. I have had other tint in the past that has bubbled up and shops have refused to correct it. I was shopping around at different shops and I found the best price and quality was Sun Dance Audio. Zack the owner was very helpful. He told me Sun Tek Ceramic Window Film was the best and the price was better then other film at some of the other shops around the Sacramento area. After careful testing and inspection, they discovered it was dead. So I opted for them to install a new system. I made an appointment almost a month ahead of time, and explained I was coming from out of town and needed it done same day. I drove all the way down from Redding (3 hours) only to be told that they would need my car for 2 days because someone called off for the day. I do not recommend Sundance Audio in Rancho Cordova. They will give you a run-around, string you along with excuses and pass responsibility for their failures onto you the customer. Find another audio company. I paid Sundance to change out my old Viper alarm on my truck. After a month or so the remote stopped working. They agreed to replace it. I was very patient but lost my patience after 3 months of getting excuse after excuse and even being personally blamed for their inability to deliver the product I paid for. First they told me they didn't have a replacement in stock, then the supplier was being difficult, then they claimed delivery issues and they blamed me for going on vacation. Without a properly functioning remote I had issues with the alarm and could not always lock/unlock or start my vehicle. I was forced to purchase a separate remote on my own from Amazon. One of the technicians kindly stopped what he was doing and paired it for me within a couple of minutes. Now 3 months later after multiple excuses and many calls from me to them, (they never reached out to me). I called them again last Friday I was told to go in the following Monday at 10am, which I did. When I got there I was told the remote was still at the warehouse and that it would be another 1-2 hours before they could get it. I left and was unable to go back that day. I went back the following day about 10am and I was handed a new remote in a box. I asked if they were going to pair it and was told that I'd have to wait another hour or so because they weren't going to take 2 minutes needed to pair it. This is where I lost my patience with Sundance, I was told he or his technician couldn't take the 2 minutes to program the new remote and that I shouldn't be a "dick" about it. He proceeded to tell me that I was supposed to be there the day before and he accused me of not having showed up. Which in fact I had been on time and my new remote I paid for was not. After the owner and I exchanged loud words, he continued with trying to pin the blame on me and even had the nerve to say at least I replaced your remote. I left a very dissatisfied customer without the service and product I paid for many many months prior. read more

I recently got a stereo put in to my vehicle. I was told the price was going to be around the $700 dollar mark and it would take no more than an hr and half but plan for 3 hrs bc things happen which is understandable. 5hrs later and over $800 later the product and quality of work I received was horrible. I constantly keep having lose wires fall out from under the steering wheel column and the radio I had put in (was purchased from them) has very spotty blue tooth capability. When I went to sundance to check on what was taking my car so long the owner was constantly talking more to his live stream on tik tok than focusing on my vehicle I will never go back here. I'm getting a new stereo put in at a different company and getting the wiring fixed so all in all I'm out over $1400 than what was initially quoted at $700. read more

Worst place every to get speakers installed. I drive a Jetta, and unfortunately my factory speakers were rivitted in which makes for a bit more work to get them out. I don't know of the guy just gave up and was tired but he sold me crap speakers and mounted them with ZIP TIES! What audio installer installs new products with ZIP TIES!!!! I'm appalled. And upon further inspection I found that based on the quote I was given for the installation of a 500 watt amp instead I had a 250 watt amp to push 2 12's. I was recommended to Sundance by a friend. I've now been there 3 times and they are the only place I would ever go for audio or tinting. Claude knows about quality customer service, he is a straight shooter and delivers as promised. Most recently I had installed an after market JVC radio with a backup camera and Apple CarPlay in an Audi TT. I also had it tinted. I can only get service done on Saturdays due to my work schedule. Claude had a specific technician he wanted to do the job due to its complexity. Sadly the tech became ill and we had to reschedule. Rather than have me wait another week, Claude had me drop the car off on Sunday and completed the work on Monday. He then personally delivered the car to my work. They were recommended to me by a friend when i was looking to get my windows tinted. I had tried to places prior, both had 5 star ratings here on yelp. I dont know how they received those but I got the run around from both and so unhappy i just chose to not even bother with them. I called Sundance and he was able to squeeze me in the same day. Since it was last minute and i didnt have a ride I waited the 3 hours for my car. I worked in the customer service industry for 20 years. What i witnessed in those 3 hours was well worth me waiting. While Claude personally was in there doing the work with others he had walk ins. People with questions about wanting to fix get their speakers fixed or what kind they should get. He was patient, gave information even told them hed tell them what the issue was and the options they had even options on doing it themselves. One line he said that stuck with me was. "I want to give you all the information so you can be an informed consumer" Claudes honesty, hard work show. Anyone can fake that for 10 minutes while you drop off your car. My son always says "Character is doing the right thing even when you think no ones looking. The work was impeccable, I plan on taking my car back for an upgraded sound system. Sorry to say but these people are the worst. Went and got tinta and under glow for my vehicle. 1st off did a horrible job with the tints or should I say a LAZY job. Bubbles formed 2 hours after the vehicle was picked up. Tons of dried up liquid on all sides of the interior of the window and on ran down to the carpet. As a customer that is UNACCEPTABLE. And yes it was brought to their attention. I called to advise that my vehicle needed attention and was never assisted with the issue. Was advised that he wouldn't help fix the problem. 2nd problem is the under glow is a cheap RBG strip that will last you 1 month from installing. It's simple and cannot do what was shown on the box or what they say it will do. I was promised an app for multiple color selection. Failed to provide me the correct device to do so. When contacted back he will not answer at all. Honestly do as you wish but this place is known for doing half AZZ work for vehicles. Do not trust Claude (manager) or any Sundance workers He is beyond rude for someone representing the face of their company. Round of applause for taking my money and wasting my time. This guy claude is a fraud do not buy from him he is a very rude and disrespectful person we bought a subwoofer from him saying the subwoofer only had a scuff on it and we believed him he did say There was no warranty on it but he lied he said there was only a scuff on it and that they sell Recone kit for it but thats a lie to. We bought it and realized till now that i was getting a box build for it that it was ripped and he had glued it. He claims he had told us there was a rip and clearly its says on the post he posted it just a scuff and what he knows he did was he did a warranty on it and fosgate send him a new one and he made some money by selling this ripped one. He know he is doing wrong to fosgate for doing that plus he is so disrespectful to all his customer check his review on how bad people complain about him. He said we weren't customer because we had but it for a very cheap price and he only treat customer good to the ones that have money. He sweared several times to us and we told him he did not have to swear but kept doing it.
