This company initially appealed to me because they advertised coming to pick up your car and dropping it off in your parking area (how convenient!) and seemed like a nice local small family business (which I always try to support). As a physician, I work very long hours and appreciated the convenience offered by this company. This however turned out to be a major issue in the long run. Some months ago, my car developed a slight issue that occurred for about a half second every 30-40 miles. I drive a 2009 car with over180,000 miles so I thought it important to have the car checked out in case a part needed to be changed. Briest Automotive initially took the car and performed a routine maintenance service before returning the car to me. Following this, the issue persisted, so I reached back out to them. They opted to come and pick up my car once again at which time they performed a repair on a part within my transmission. Following this repair however, my car began having a MAJOR issue which occurred reliably when shifting gears. This rendered the car unsafe to drive, so much so that I almost got into a car accident on my way from work (the car randomly stopped on a left turn at a busy intersection during rush hour traffic). After this, I opted to leave the car on my parking and get a rental. I tried contacting Briest Automotive about this/tried to figure out what happened, however no one returned my calls or messages for weeks. Eventually, Pamila (the customer liaison), answered apologetically and explained that they would come and get the car asap with intentions to return it only when it is fixed. After weeks of not hearing back from them, I sent a message to them to just forget about it and return my car to me by fears that they were actually trying to steal it at this point. At that time, they explained that they had performed said repairs totaling over $1,500 (replacing certain parts within the transmission) and that the car still had the major shifting issue. I reviewed this with multiple mechanics and ALL have said that this course of action was unreasonable and likely had a financial incentive. All have reliably explained that no one actually trying to solve this issue would have replaced every part of a transmission on a car with over 180,000 miles. Exchanging the transmission for a new one should have been their only move as everyone knows how expensive transmission are. I discussed this and my dissatisfaction with them, and they claimed to stand by their "excellent" work/decisions, even claiming that they were doing me a favor! charging me over $1,500. Despite my comments, they refused to bring my car back to me until I paid for the entirety of their charges IN CASH. I have never dealt with such an incompetent and unprofessional car company. Due to trusting this company, my car was damaged/became unsafe to drive resulting in my almost getting in a car accident; I was charged over $2K of unnecessary repairs on a transmission that needs to be changed anyways; I have incurred additional unnecessary car rental charges totaling over another 2K and been car-less for months due poor efficiency and communication; I still need to get my car fixed and start back at step 1 (meaning more time, more money) - I just hope that they have not damaged other parts of the car and that it can actually still be salvaged. I am incredibly disappointed with this company. CUSTOMERS BEWARE! STAY AWAY AT ALL COST! These people are not only negligent but incompetent and money hungry and will surely take advantage of you if possible. I am typically not one to speak out against other professionals because I know how hard it is to own a business, but at this point I feel as though it is my responsibility to warn honest customers about this company's ways.

I take it back to them and 3 more things need to be fixed. They kept my car for 3 weeks. The day after I got it back, there were more complications than the original problem. I've taken my car back about 10x now. Each time they say they can't find the issue or can't hear the massive noises it makes. I drove with them and, like magic, the noises appeared. I brought my car to them Friday, They were supposed to call me at 2 or 3pm. No calls and when I try to contact them, they NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE! Today I went to their shop with a male neighbor of mine. The owners brother raised his voice at me in an attempt to intimidate me and was using profanity to deflect from their horrible work. He even stated how his brother commented that I just want to come and complain. I don't know anyone who decides to wadte the time in their lives to sit for hours in a filthy auto shop, just to complain. He also LIED about the parts they were supposed to replace. They should have fixed a head gasket, radiator hoses, and the timing chain. Sammy's brother, Jose, said they replaced my raidiator. WHAT FOR, WHY?!!! Long story longer, my car is still not fixed, I'm out $1,600, I have no money left to fix my car. The engine is about to die. I'm now about to take them to court. BMW X1-Install oil pan gasket, new belt, replace water pump,and install front cover gasket. 240z- assembled the complete engine and installed, installed a new clutch, diff mount, tranny mount, and exhaust work.
