He didn't tell me in advance what accessories I'd need to buy. I was charged for his time waiting for me to get the items. It was very frustrating because the stores didn't have what I needed and I had to drive all over town searching for it. I would not recommend doing business with them without first getting a written statement for all the work they plan to do and all of their charges in advance. Also, one of their workers spilled gasoline all over and I had to pay twice to fill my generator. He charged me almost $2,000 when his estimate was for only $1,000. He acted like hooking up a generator is not his job as an electrician, yet a handyman would not have known what to do because this required specialized knowledge, something only a licensed electrician would be qualified to know and do the job correctly and safely.

Beware of this company that will rip you off…read more If you want the absolute bare minimum job done, without a shred of a reasonable good faith, this is the company for you. I do not recommend you use this company that will fleece you for an inch (literally). We used this company for moving our RV 3 miles, and paid the full amount someone would pay to take this a lot longer distance. The driver did the very minimum and took our RV from point A to point B without issue. The issue arose when he let us know it would be $150 extra to back the RV onto 2 leveling blocks. He did not let us know ahead of time that it would cost us $300 to drive 3 miles and then roll forward 1-2 inches onto these leveling blocks, so we were taken aback. The driver had also taken our blocks home which we needed to level our RV (accidentally), but was unable to return them the next day. He was unwilling to make a fair decision to roll our RV forward 1-2 inches onto these blocks, so he deferred to the "boss man" as he called it. I had called the office to see if they would be reasonable and they returned my call and let me know that they would be able to cut me a deal to have the driver roll the RV forward 1-2 inches for only $100. I let them know that was how outrageous that was due to how much I had already paid and how little they had to do the previous day. I denied their ridiculous offer and asked the driver simply return the blocks instead. It is not a good idea to hire this company if your goal if you would like to avoid getting ripped off by them.

He was professional, did what he promised when he promised, and did it well. Our builder turned out to be very unscrupulous and caused many wasted hours for all of our subs, but Dan didn't complain and he continued to do excellent work. When the Builder unexpectedly pulled out and departed our unfinished job, never to return, Dan was professional enough to continue to finish the project with us. Dan was also much more aware of codes than the builder, and he was the one who got us to completion - again having to take on tasks that were not his responsibility. I had a great experience with this business installing my heat pump. I see that a lot of the other…read morereviews mention a rude admin or receptionist - I called their office multiple times during the processes and the person I spoke to was always friendly and respectful. It's possible that they've hired somebody else since those reviews? Either way, it was not a problem for me, and the owner Jason was always very responsive, professional, and agreeable when I called or texted him, as were the techs who did the install. I first had American Air out last fall to look at my heat pump due to it tripping the breaker. The technician was friendly, knowledgeable, and didn't try to upsell me on a new unit or extensive repair. After checking line pressures, he explained that the system, while nearing the end of its life, was okay for the time being. Service charge was minimal. Because of the good experience, I kept them in mind for when I wanted to upgrade. Then this week I hired American Air to upgrade the 20 year old heat pump with a new, more efficient Gree unit. They were timely and friendly in all our communication leading up to the install, including coming out to give the quote. On the day of install, the technicians arrived on time and reviewed the indoor unit location, eventually proposing a better install configuration (hung from the ceiling) at no extra cost beyond the initial quote despite increased effort. They went over each step of the install with me, including where I wanted the cold air return vent moved to. Techs worked efficiently and were happy with me checking in on progress from time to time. Going over the finished install, I was impressed with the level of quality and attention to detail. When moving the cold air vent, they were careful not to damage the floor or joists in the process. They patched any holes in the exterior wall from previous line runs, correctly fixed new wire runs, and strapped and repaired my existing ducting (without being asked or necessarily expected). All trash, debris, etc... was cleaned up and the basement/crawlspace was tidy when checked on. The new unit they installed is great, extremely quiet and efficient. The install cost was agreeable and affordable for the services rendered. Overall I had a great experience with American Air and would highly recommend them.
