I made an appointment for cleaning and when I arrived the office. The receptionist telling me that they will not do the cleaning today and need to wait until next appointment. Reason is they need to get money from the insurance before providing services. It never happened with other dentist. They did not tell me when I made the appointment. Second, it only takes less than 10 minutes to clean my tooth. The dentist asked for $75 for filling. After I agreed and started, the dentist said it will be another $75 fee because it needs some more work. Totally $150. I was so mad and just wanted to have it done. After I paid $150 with my credit card and I ask for receipt. The receptionist said no receipt will be issued until after 2 weeks. To confirm that they have the money. So if I need a receipt, I have to go back one more time and don't know that will I get my $150 receipt. Conclusion is that this dental office only needs money and not care about the service. I never had an experience that cleaning the tooth only takes 5-8 minutes. How can it be cleaned throughly. I have dental service for over 20 years and never experience SO SO BAD! Ive been going here for two years and I really like how they take care of me and my teeth. I really like my dentist, Dr. M. Aung, because he knows how to communicate, very friendly and funny, and he is very concern if I have pain or anything that bothers me just come see him. Staff are really nice and environment are very neat. I love sweets so I have to maintain my teeth cavity free, that is why I get my teeth cleaning routinely. Making appointment is very easy, I can schedule within a week. What I also like they are open on Saturdays, since I can't come in on weekdays due to work schedule. My recent visit I came in to get my routine cleaning and fix my fillings and they notice I have chopped lips so, they gave me lip balm for my lips. Dr. Aung is the best dentist I have ever been to! I was suppose to write this review last year. All the dentists I have had in the past were soso, I decided to find a new dentist last year. I have read so much good reviews on Dr Aung and then I decided to give it a try to see whether it's true. I'm so glad I made the right choice, Dr. Aung is extremely professional, nice and helpful. He has a magic hand for the dental treatment. He did the root canal treatment for me last year, and I never have any problem with that teeth until now. Last week, one of my tooth was loose, I went to Dr. Aung again, and he said there might be 50/50 chance to save this loose teeth because the root of that teeth was broken, Right away I want to continue the treatment even I have to pay from my pocket, because I have full confidence on Dr. Aung. Hopefully this teeth can be saved after his treatments. I'll continue my story on that. Dr Aung has a great team. His assistant Mr. Henry who is very friendly, patient and supportive. I am truly surprised about the previous reviews. This is definitely the worst dentist I ever seen. After few months of back and forth between Access Dental (insurance) and Sunday Dental, I was finally approved for deep cleaning. My approval from Access Dental was on October 29th but I was told that they need the official letter in order to book an appointment for me. After waiting for a month, I finally got Access Dental to call Sunday Dental and immediately they book the appointment the next day. So I went to Sunday Dental today for deep cleaning. Dr. M. Aung, like the first visit I had with him, never spoke a word to me, (even when I asked him during my first visit if I had cavity or not). This time he gave me dental local anesthesia shots and then starting cleaning. After 13 minutes the dental assistant told me it was done. I asked if I can see my teeth to make sure it was cleaned. She pointed me to the wall and when I went to the wall, it wasn't a mirror but just a crumbled tin foil. Even with that I could see it wasn't properly cleaned. I informed the receptionist that it was not properly cleaned and his reply was that it was stubborn tar..... When I got home I could see clearly on mirror and found out he really didn't clean it properly and I still have much tar left. 13 minutes for deep cleaning I am sure is a world record. I have had deep cleaning annually so I know they just lied to me and I am writing this to warn other potential patients to stay away from this dentist. They have a state-of-art x-ray machine but purposely have crumbled tin foil as the mirror on the wall! All he cares about is your insurance money and won't even have the common decency to perform the job of what he was paid for. read more

The staff makes you feel so welcomed and from previous horrible dentist experiences I can say I fully trust Dr. Aung. He make me feel at ease and give me a painless experience. I took my mother in for a cleaning, and she was in/out within 20 min. I was never introduced to the dentist. I had to ask if i could speak to the dentist to discuss my mothers chief complaints. The male front desk employee took me to the dentist office, which was a mess. I asked him if he had flossed her teeth after her quick cleaning, and he said there was no need to floss and that she had bridges and you can't floss there. Sorry to say, but there is something called floss threaders, and those are made for bridges so that you can keep the bridge area clean. This place was all about the money, "pay $20 for co-payment (very understandable to have to pay the co-pay), then "if you want a cleaning pay $50 for the cleaning right now before they take you to the back" on top of what Medicare will pay the dentist. Also, I asked them to email me the images taken/her x-rays (which they took a panoramic image) useless for detecting interproximal cavities. Have not yet received it. I'm definitely not taking her back! Please be vigilant of the services being provided to you and your loved ones. People need to be treated with respect and not taken advantage of. Also noticed that not one patient was at the office. Maybe that was our red flag. Lesson learned! read more

Prior dentist misled me about insurance issues & work needed. Found Sunday Dental on Yelp & booked an appointment. They took all necessary precautions w/the pandemic - Henry was super friendly & checked my temperature. There was sanitizer in the lobby. Everyone wore masks. It made me feel safe. Dr. Aung was honest about the limitations & consequences of the root canal he was performing. He explained why my prior dentist would mislead me about needed work & insurance. He advised I hold the more serious work for after the pandemic. He gave me shots so I felt no pain. Seemed legitimately caring about my well-being & health. Dr. Aung & his team are so interesting, travelled, warm, jovial & likable. One of his assistants drives hours everyday just so she can continue working for him, incredible. Unlike all past dental offices I've been to that felt cold and hallow - where you sort of don't matter & they try to milk you for $$$ - Sunday Dental had this vibe where they treat you like an old friend. This review is necessary for every single person that is a new/past/current customer of Sunday Dental. I recently changed my dental to this place and the experience has been astonishing! I called and left this place 4 messages within 2 weeks trying to get an appointment. Of those 4 calls, I never received a call back to get an appointment set. I was very close to giving up and changing my dental to somewhere else. On the last call, the 5th try I finally got answer and they made an appointment for 3/3 @11:00am. I proceed to show up on time on the date that they gave me and they WERE CLOSED!! I called and they magically answered the phone but said they must have made a mistake and that they were closed today. This is absolutely unbelievable for them to make this kind of error. If you are looking for a unreliable place, this if for you. If you are looking for integrity, good business practice and an ethical place, please don't waste your time with this chop shop joint. They don't care about you, your time or your situations. They open when they want, close when they want and somehow make phantom appointments at their discretion. Be warned and stay away! I can tell that he really loves what he does cause he was telling me step by step what he's doing so I am assured.
