I agree with the other reviews. The services are fair for the price (if you use them); however, the constant upselling is exhausting. I really just want some sunlight to fight SADs, but I found myself not coming bc of the constant sells pitches. read more

The staff was super friendly, but the level 4 bed I went in was kinda gross on the side (room 3). I made sure not to let my body touch that part of the bed. Overall, this Sunday's reminded me of an older tanning shop from the early 2000's, with the exception of the newer beds. Even the smell of the place reminded me of when I used to go tanning when I was in high school (2002ish), which brought back pleasant memories, honestly. The services are pretty good but they are constantly trying to sell me more products. I go in to do one 20 min treatment for the facial red light. Girl has checked ans says room is open, she checks me in ... then someone else who is doing multiple treatments comes out of tanning room and says she wants the red face light before her slim sculpt treatment so they turn me away!!! Really??? I have been a member for years and don't even use all my spa services monthly due to time constraints. They could have asked the other customer if she would mind doing her other treatment first!!!! Customer service at times leaves a lot to be desired unfortunately. I would cancel but have a bunch of treatments on my account that i don't want to just lose! read more

*waited a week to post this after discussing with a manager at one of their AMAZING locations. Since then, (to no fault of the manager who was kind enough to listen and report to upper management for me) no one had reached out to me to reconcile the situation. No return on the used blue bucks for the spray or even a call/email/message with an apology. Guess they're okay with this employees actions and the dirty state of their store. As an almost 6 year member and former employee I'm disgusted with this locations employee attitude, lack of cleanliness, and straight disrespect. This is the 3rd time I've come to this location to spray with the Versa Pro only to be met with a DISGUSTING booth. Floor soaking wet, nozzles nasty, and walls covered in previous sprays. When I went to the front to say something, I was met with annoyance and was handed a towel to clean the floor myself. EMBARRASSING to say the least. Not to mention Kathryn who was working at the time, set me with the incorrect color so I had to go back out a second time. After this, Kathryn so kindly decided to end my session before it was over so I'm left standing there soaking wet with no final drying process for my back (assuming in order to stop the water cleaning process). I ask why this happened and her response is she doesn't know what happened. So I ask to use the stand up since I'm still wet to which she asks for eyewear, I say I don't have any and I'm just going to change and go to another location because at this point this location has given me too many terrible experiences. She wanted to continue to argue with me about eyewear after I said that I wasn't going to tan and was going to leave still wet. Didn't want to give me managers names either. I've been coming to Sundays on and off for the past 8 years. Unfortunately, I can no longer accept how they have treated me. . As a customer who has come here for so long, I am extremely upset to report how I was lied to, multiple times, by several employees. Each girl I talked to gave me different information, omitted important details, and ultimately scammed me of money. I began with their most basic membership. I wanted to upgrade to a higher membership to include level 3 & 4 beds. I was told this plan didn't exist. They signed me up for the full 1-6 level beds instead. All good. Not a month later - I see a promotion featuring a plan with level 1-4 beds. Inquired about it, seeing as that is what I originally wanted and was cheaper. I was told it would be $80 for me to switch, plus the cost of the month. They said it was only a few months promotion, so I would have to eventually switch back to the higher membership anyways. All good. Turns out, it wasn't just a promotion. It's something they have 100% implemented in their stores, and I only found out due to my sister checking their website after she heard me complaining about how expensive tanning was. I inquire again. Told it would still be 70+ to switch memberships (no matter at what period during the month). I had been thinking about freezing/canceling my membership anyways, so we decided it would be best for me to cancel, and come back and just start a new membership with the original plan I wanted. Go in today to cancel...informed that it's only $40 to switch, and I could have done so MONTHS ago. Every single person I talked to gave me different answers. I was blatantly, repeatedly, lied to. This isn't some "oh she didn't read the contract" type deal. This is a company manipulating their customers to get money from them. I am so disappointed and angry. read more

This place itself is lovely and the employees are great but Sundays Blue Box IN GENERAL is a complete scam. They will tell you one thing then charge you up the a$$ when you try to cancel or freeze your account. Make sure you read the fine print when you sign the contract. I went to tan on Tuesday morning (N Great Neck location) before work. The employee drove her white car up to the front of the building told me that they were going to open late (this was at 7:57 am, 3 minutes before open time). She seemed rushed and frazzled. I asked her a few times if she knew what time she was going to open and she ignored me then went and parked her white car. When she was walking up to the building I asked her again what time she thought the salon would open and didn't answer. I asked her name and she told me to calm down. I didn't mind waiting just so confused as to why this young lady named Kathlyn was so rude. I called and spoke to someone that took a message for Kim the manager to call me back. I have called several times throughout the week and have yet to receive a call back. I have been with Sundays for years and am so disappointed. read more

This is my favorite place to go to when I want to be pampered. Not only do they have different levels of tanning beds, they also have 2 different spray machines, an awesome massage chair that feels like a real massage, spa services that helps you burn calories such as the fit wrap and the cacoon, and a work out room as well. The work out room isn't included with the membership though, but everything else is. The environment is clean, staff is knowledgeable and helpful, and they always have special deals going on. The membership is a comparable to other salons such as Palm beach tanning, but I feel you get more bang for your buck at Sundays. So when you want to feel rejuvenated, slimmer, and look like you just got back from a tropical island, I definitely recommend Sundays. They have everything you need under one roof! read more

Today was my first visit to Sundays. The staff is very knowledgable of all of the equipment. They took time and answered all my questions and gave me a tour and explained what each machine was and what it did. I signed up for the VIP package. I get unlimited tanning and up to 8 spa sessions a month. Pretty good deal if you ask me. The place was super clean and the employees were wearing masks. So far I am happy that I am a member. read more

Molly the salon owner is amazing! She knows her products and got some beautiful beds and stand-ups! She has has Mystic and Spray-tan (where someone manually sprays you like in Dancing with the Stars!) What is awesome is the spray tan is 100% guaranteed! They are incredibly knowledgeable staff and offer great opinions and advice which always holds to be truthful. The salon is kept clean and professional. I have been tanning for many years and have been to various locations and at this location every time I walk in it is clean and the bathrooms are very clean. I have only been to this salon 2 times and have tried the level 3 laydown and standup and after each tan I had GREAT color! My husband doesn't usually notice things and 2 days after I tanned he even asked me if I had gone because it looked so good. I will also mention it is worth the investment to use tanning lotion when you go in since it will give you a deeper, darker tan that will last longer and have anti-aging in it. I have not tried the spray tan but when I do I will review it. If you plan to spray tan make sure you go with no -makeup on, no lotions and just go all natural. It is best to call to make sure someone is available to do it for you since a person has to do it for you. Also if possible sleep in it to get all the color possible. read more

The monthly membership fees are very reasonable and they have a good selection of tanning lotions. However, those are about the only pros. The staff wasn't overly friendly but they were fine. I laid down in a level 1 and both the room and bed were dirty. The room didn't look like it had been swept in a while and the bottom of my feet felt gross when I took my socks off. The bed was sticky/ grimy to the touch and there was women's hair stuck in the edges of the bed as well. I was crawling in my skin the whole time I was tanning. Very unsanitary. read more

Always clean but honestly this place can be a money pit. Every time I go in they try to sell you something and make it sound like a great deal but you still end up dropping an extra $100 when you take the deal because they can be pushy and don't take no for an answer. I can't tell if the staff is really knowledgeable and these products and upgrades are really great and worth it or if they are full of bologna. If you are looking for a one time spray tan or one month deal for a base tan (say, before vacation) prepare for an ear full and maybe an extensive package instead. I do have to say that I love the tan that I have and the hours are great for this location. I've also never had to wait for a bed, which is why it's getting a good rating. The beds are nice and the facility is clean which is why I'm giving it 2 stars. The salespeople though are awful aside from the blonde woman who seems to know the most. The first time I went into the salon I explained that I only wanted to tan briefly, and was not offered any packages that worked with my needs. Right as I was about to leave, the blonde woman piped up and said "oh you can do a 'Tour of the Salon' for $35.00". So they were going to withhold that information until I was literally turned around exiting the salon. The next time I went into tan, I was casually browsing the merchandise while I was waiting to be rung up. A brunette who seemed really nice at first, ended up being one of the most abrasive and pushy salespeople I've ever come across. Seeing as I did not bring my wallet to the salon and told her that twice, she proceeded to try and push an overpriced sample size of face products onto me while looking at my face and finding the imperfections then saying this cream would help them. I can read, the ingredients are no more than a glorified BB cream. If you can, take your money elsewhere with honest employees who tell you the prices up front and aren't rude or overbearing. Really negative experience both times. Also, the brunette repeated herself extensively even after I relayed that I indeed understood what she was saying, but that I did not have my wallet. read more

Service here is amazing. And theyre very knowledgable about their product. Personally I love sun tan resorts mystic spray tans better tho. I know to stick with them instead. This tan just didn't do it for me. It didn't last long. I expected at least 2 weeks it really only lasted a week and I thoroughly followed the instructions. They are very nice there but for $23 I expected better. They also offer toooo many options. Like scents, bronze levels and enhancers. I like how simple and basic sun tan resorts is and their tans last way longer! read more

I been a member for a while and had their spray tan, and was on hold paying $5 a month until I went to use it again, they didn't tell me that an up coming payment was coming up like most reputable places taking auto pay out and once i found it after declined I paid it. these clowns turned around and charged me $10 for $5 dollar charge. sunday, keep the money as you saved me money as me and fiance were coming in to do a tanning package for a cruise and no see your desperate for money. I cancelled the service and now with their competitor who by the way were cheaper than this money pit salon. Never again. read more

Went to this tanning salon/spa after using two other places in the area and this has by far been my favorite. Not only do they offer tanning services but spa-like services which improve skin, muscle tenderness, soreness and fatigue and weight loss. The two girls at the front counter were very knowledgeable and helped me with all questions I had, and trust me there were a lot. Super excited to have found this gem. read more

I love Sundays been coming here for years. Always do the passport membership most bang for you buck. It is pricey monthly however if you catch them on a holiday where they run sales you can get BOGO buy one year get a year for a penny or a nickel. They do always try to sell you the newest lotions but I learned to never bring my bank card in and really try to use all my lotion b4 buying a new one. read more

I have been a member of Sunday's for years. I went in tonight not looking to un-freeze my account seeing as I won't be tanning regularly yet. So, in order to tan for one session the price was around $30! That's outrageous. They have monthly memberships for less than that. The woman at the front explained my account just drafted and would need to do so again before I could re-freeze. Seriously considering just cancelling my account all together. read more

I wanted to cancel my membership I was told there was a 30 day notice, not a problem. The girls told me to tan then come out and they would have the paperwork for me to cancel ready. They told me when my last draft date would be and that I could use my sessions an d blue bucks to tan from now on. Freezing my account and being charged $5 to do so was NEVER discussed. I was not even made aware it was an option so blindly I signed what they prepared and left. I noticed my card being charged $5 the past 2 months and called to inquire why. They said the paperwork I signed put a freeze on the account didn't cancel. I told them I knew nothing of that. The girl said the manager would call me in the morning. At 1:30 pm I called to ask for the manager. Whoever answered the phone didn't identify herself by name but I assume was the manager cause she pulled my papers and said its my fault cause I signed something that the employee wrote out freezing instead of canceling. I don't understand how her mistake has cost me $10 and the manager instead of using good customer service, and giving me a credit for the now $15 I'm out due to her employee's negligence told me she has to go with what I signed. I'm livid. Someone else's mistake is costing me money and they are doing nothing to compensate me. Be careful what you sign they are not operating with a whole lot of firing neurons at the salon! I don't know what's worse the incompetent employee or poor management service recovery. Either way this place sucks. read more

It was extremely rude and unprofessional, but supposedly she was a manager. I will NEVER go back there again. Awful customer service. That's not how you talk to your clientele.
