I had a gift card for Sundhari, so I treated myself to a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Susannah L. (soos-aw-nah) What a gift! She is such a skilled, nurturing, open-hearted therapist with incredibly healing energy. I had some serious knots and scar tissue issues that she worked through, without an ounce of discomfort. To the contrary, it felt SO cathartic. The best part was the openness I experienced afterward and into the next day. Sometimes there is some tweakiness afterward but not with Susannah. This updates review is specifically for Susan Toch. I have been seeing her either weekly or every 10 days or so since I was 5 months pregnant... her technique is incredible. She has literally kept me in a state of being able to enjoy my pregnancy which has came with many aches and pains this round. She listens, and adjust as needed to make sure you're getting the massage you want and ensure you're comfortable. Definitely look to make an appointment with her for prenatal massage! I love this place! I will be recommending Sundhari to all of my family and friends. I rarely write yelp reviews, but I had such a positive experience at this spa that I wanted to let everyone know what a gem this is. Last night I went to Sundhari for a massage and had the most wonderful experience. The space is tranquil and welcoming and located very conveniently on Solano. Kathryn, the owner, gave me my massage. She is an amazing practitioner- very knowledgeable, intuitive and kind. She made sure to check in with me and my body before and after the treatment. I felt very relaxed during the massage and she was able to work out kinks in my neck that had been bothering me for weeks! I even got a cup of tea at the end of my session :) Make sure to check out Sundhari! I will be coming back for a facial soon. I got a massage from Hans and it was the best massage I ever had. He used his body to massage mine, on the ground, with clothes on. Im a big guy 220lb and he was still able to get deep into my hamstring and leg mucles. I felt relaxed for like 4 days after, the blood and fluids were moving better and I felt healthier. Had the regenerative facial with Natalie. She was very kind and gentle. She explained everything as she did it. I had excellent results and was already satisfied. But when I came out, I was welcomed by the owner who was quite nice. They happened to have an open house and I was offered samples. I have to say the experience exceeded my expectations and I felt great coming out of there. I have had several appointments one for a Organic facial (which she also gave me a neck and shoulders massage ) and several appointments for massages. Kathryn is a advanced practitioner / intuitive healer and designs your treatment to fit your needs and pays attention to all your problems. She also is very conscientious checking in while she works at what level of pressure you can handle in areas of injury etc. ( i have had one deep tissue massage so far ) She is able to use many different techniques to help your body release the areas of tension and is extremely gentle in areas you have previous injuries. I recently heard about the Sundhari Holistic Spa on Solano Ave in Albany. It's located in my neighborhood, so I thought I would give it a try. First, a most congenial and friendly staff welcomed me. The owner, Katherine, took me on a tour of their facility before my facial. I was amazed how beautiful it is, impeccably and tastefully designed. The ambiance is very calming and serene. Even before my facial, I knew I was in a very special space with talented and caring people. The facial was wonderful. Katherine, in her kind, gentle and professional manner, explained each step of the facial. At Sundhari, they only use natural and organic products which are of paramount importance to me, for I only use organic lotions & crèmes in the care of my skin. I was most pleased with the results. My skin was incredibly smooth and vibrant. Needless to say, I will be returning. In addition, Sundhari Holistic Spa carries a number of organic and natural skin products that I intend to try. This holiday season, my spa vacation travel plans were postponed due to COVID. Instead I did a spa "staycation" and booked several sessions at Sundhari. I had an orthopedic massage with Hans, an Ayurvedic Abhyanga massage with Susan (with steam after), a hot stone massage with Catherine and a facial with Natalie. All services and practitioners were excellent! I think that they are still working out the kinks of being a new business, e.g. the treatment rooms can be cold and if you have multiple services there is not a place to really hang out in your robe in between sessions, but everyone is very nice and helpful with booking services. I am so happy to have found a new spot close to home and I will return for monthly massage and facial. read more

If you have never had acupuncture, try Eve, she is the real deal. If you think your current acupuncturist is good, try Eve, she is better. Not only is she incredible at what she does, as an acupuncturist, she is also an expert in Chinese Medicine. Eve simultaneously integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine, nutrition and her education on human anatomy, the interconnectedness of how the body works and functions to treat her patients holistically, not just zero in on specific symptoms, or "fix" what you came in for. She wants you to be truly healthy. At the first visit, we did a complete evaluation. She innately and immediately knew where my imbalances were. I can write that the treatments are amazing, but really, words cannot express the feeling and bodily sensations during and after Eve's treatment, you must experience it for yourself. She was very tuned into how I was feeling and checked in often to see if I was comfortable. Her energy is calm, grounded, genuine, assured and confident, which helped me relax. She explained which needles did what and how they would affect me. She guided me through paying attention to my body sensations, she is focused, meticulous and thorough.
