We are thrilled with our new solar panels! We never thought it made sense to invest in them, but after Erik explained net metering, the Sunergy program, and all the other advantages, we saw no reason not to do it. We're saving money on our electric bill, being environmentally friendly, and I think the panels look progressive and high-tech on the roof. Several neighbors have contracted Sunergy for installation too! Erik and Sunergy were very helpful throughout the entire process - start to finish and even following up after completion. They also handled all the paperwork with Edison. I'm so happy we switched to solar!

Don't get fooled by all the 5 stars reviews like me. Sunergy pay or used to pay $50 for all the 5 stars reviews. Here is my honest review. Everything from A-Z is was wrong and disappointing. At this point after my final inspection (failed) I'd give them 0 stars. I found Sunergy on Yelp and they were the first company on my list based on their reviews. Erik the sales rep was nice and explained everything, after that I started calling around for price shopping. I got quotes from many companies but Sunergy beat them all. I negotiated better Panasonic 330 Watts panels with the latest SolarEdge HD Wave converter backed with 25 years warranty on labor and equipment. Signed papers and after that everything went wrong. - I had two large vents on my roof which needed to be changed out for flat ones. Originally I was quoted couple hundred bucks but end up paying $400. I just went with it knowing that I still have a good deal... - the plan submitted to the city was wrong. Electric switches were on the other side of the house also show the cheaper Hanwha panels were showing on the plan. (They eventually changed it) - they wanted to install the panels before the HOA approval. My HOA would make me take off everything without their approval. Erik fixed this issue however pushed back the installation by a week... - the day of the installation. The installation crew confirmed that the pan is wrong and they have to rearrange the panels on the back of the house also I went out to check on the Solar Panels right before the installation and guess what they were not the Panasonic 330s they were about to install the much cheaper Hanwha panels. Apparently the installation crew had no idea about the whole situation and they almost put up the wrong panels. That was the point when I started to be furious. I called Erik, he apologized for everything he said his boss going to call me on the next day. I ended up talking to his boss and he gave me $200 off of the final price he also ensured me that nothing else will go wrong beyond this point. Another 5 days delay because they have to buy the Panasonic Panels. - the inspection happened two weeks after the installation instead of couple of days. The inspector supposed paint the conductors to match the house color(required by the HOA). He did a horrible job like he gave absolutely 0 effort. Paint all over the converter, part of the conductor is not painted he also forget to screw back the long screws on the panel... also we didn't pass the inspection due to a equipment recall.... I called Erik again he apologized and he said he's going to send someone else tomorrow to fix the other guy's paint job.. Here I'm, I really don't wanted to leave any reviews for them but at this point everybody deserves to know who are they dealing with. You have to pretty much micromanage the whole process... I'm still not done with the paint job fix, the inspection and the switch over by Edison. Probably I have to hire a third party company as well for a re-inspection... Well. You got what you pay for... Update. 05/17/18. The fist technician came out last week to fix the recall 05/08/18 Today another technician came out to fix it again.... I supposed to have another inspection sometimes next week and after that hopefully a week or two I can have switched by Edison. (So that is another 3-4 weeks delay.)I'm already paying for the finance company for something I can't even use. Absolute ridiculous.... Oh, and the paint situation never been fixed my converter and antenna still the same.

I really appreciate the direct accountability and quick resolution. I'm leaving my original review below for transparency, but their prompt response today restored my confidence in their management. I originally had a positive experience with California Solar Electric during my 10.12 kW solar and Powerwall 3 installation last year. Unfortunately, their post-install customer support and business ethics are nonexistent. I referred a friend who completed their installation months ago. I was explicitly promised a $500 referral bonus for this. After months of waiting, I tried following up multiple times privately to give them a chance to make it right, but I am now being completely ignored. It's a shame because I have several neighbors here in Fountain Valley who are currently shopping around for solar and battery storage. I was planning to refer them here, but I cannot recommend a company that fails to honor its own written agreements and ducks communication. Buyer beware: the installation team does good work, but do not trust a word management says about referral incentives or post-sale promises. Still waiting for my $500.

It's 4 year in a row now the system failed to produce the minimum guaranteed production. AWS Solar chose to compensate for the shortfall again; we'll see what the 5th year production looks like. However, upon completeing the job, the project manager Tim Broughton called me, helped me log on to the Enphase app so that I could monitor the panels. After I confirmed that I was logged in, I was told that I was up and running And they were done. I was happy thinking I was now running on the sun. Wrong. So very wrong. I received my electric bill and astonished to see the electric portion was over $800.00. I called the power company and was told that the $130.00 application fee had not been paid. I notified Mr. Broughton and he immediatley saw that the bill for the application fee was paid and apologized for the error. Now the fun begins. I called the power company and asked when they would be out to install the proper meter for solar panels. I was informed that no application for a meter to be installed was on file and that I had to submit an application for interconnection. Hmm? No one mentioned anything to me about completing and application or that I had to contact the power company. I completed the PTO (Permission to Operate) form and based on the questions being asked and the information I needed to provide leads me to believe the Solar company was responsible for completing this form and sending the required fee. Ok. Lets not look to for someone to blame, lets just get the proper meter installed. I completed the PTO and submitted it. The power company came out a couple of weeks later and installed the a new meter. Onlyit was not a meter for solar panels. They installed the same new meter but it was the same meter as the meter I already had. I asked them why they didn't put on a solar meter and I was told that I needed to submit a PTO for a SOLAR METER, which is different. And by the way, they have a special person that installs solar meters and a special person to install regular meters. This seemed rather stupid to me. I ask the power comapany rep for the contact info for the solar department and he told he didn't know. I won't name the power company. LADwp. The one good thing the DWP rep did upon arriving to his office was to send an email to contact the proper department at the power company. I assumed he would have just gone about his business and let me flounder. I started on the second application which asked for job site photos. This was to me another indication that the solar installer was suppose to complete this form because Joe Citizen would not know what photos they were required. I did observe that periodically, the workers would take photos, but none were ever sent to me. Now I'm in the middle of August 2026 with fingers, legs, arms, eyes and anything else, maybe the dogs and cats, crossed hoping that this time I will get a meter. The bottom line is I would still recommend AWS SOLAR to anyone, but I'd have to caution them to make sure they get you connected and ALL fees are paid. Because I was dealing with the City of LA and being constantly sent to voice mail and waiting for call backs, this experience was horrendous.
