I wanted to write a review to express my extreme satisfaction with a service visit performed by Dane Clevenger at my residence. I am a former SunPower customer, and I have a solar system and a whole house battery system installed at my property. Since my solar installation in April 2020, I have had various issues in the past 5 years. I have had SunPower techs that have been great that came to my house to try to resolve the issues--Jairo Ruiz, Erik Mancilla & Dane Clevenger--over the years. I have experienced issues with my PVS Monitoring Unit, microinverter software update issues, and a pest issue where something chewed the wiring to one of my panels, and they had to take two other panels off service because they were chained together and they were concerned about them arcing. In each of these circumstances, the SunPower customer service was absolutely atrocious. I own my solar system and whole house battery, so, once they were installed, the company could care less about helping me get my issues resolved. There is a reason why SunPower went out of business when they were once leaders in the industry! I could not get them to send anybody out to help me. Delay after delay turned into months for each of these issues. However, once I was able to get one of their service technicians to my property, they were always the best! Dane had previously fought for me to help get my PVS monitoring issue resolved when literally nobody else could figure it out. This all leads me to the current issue that I was experiencing. When SunPower finally relinquished control of any monitoring capabilities for their systems to the company SunStrong Connect in April 2025, I almost immediately started having issues with my SunVault battery monitoring in the conversion to the new company. It didn't matter that I sprung for the $99 additional annual monitoring fee to have all the monitoring services provided through SunStrong Connect for the next year. For whatever reason, my battery just went offline and was no longer supporting our house. I didn't know who Green Convergence was going to send to my house. I had heard that Jairo had recently moved out of state, so I was so happily surprised to see Dane Clevenger at my door. He immediately went to diagnosing my issue and arrived at the beginning of the 2-hour window the company had given me. We tried to connect the system to my WiFi and continued to have issues. He opened my HUB+ and 2 separate SunVault batteries to review all the work that had been completed in the past and to check every connection. Unfortunately, my batteries had fallen below a critical charge level so he had to leave to get a trickle charger to recharge my batteries. That process took quite some time to have them recharge to a safe level. In the meantime, he went through each aspect of my system. We relabeled various circuits that had been changed and were erroneously labeled since my initial installation. Once we recharged the batteries, we learned that they probably died due to a loose connection in the wiring. We shored that up and my system now works perfectly, and I have it all connected to my WiFi. Dane had only been at Green Convergence since the beginning of the previous week. I told him that they were so lucky to have him working for the company. I asked if there was anything I could do to support him, and he said a Yelp review is the best way. I wanted to lend a little time and provide a detailed review of my past and present experiences with Dane Clevenger. He is a stalwart, and, if I every have any issues in the future, I will be calling Green Convergence to try to rectify them and will specifically request for them to schedule Dane. I always had a concern about how I would service my SunPower system in the future, but it seems like I have figured out the perfect situation! read more

It has been nearly 6 months now since Sun Power Green Convergence of Santa Clarita installed our solar panels and battery storage system. Every component has worked perfectly from day one and we are extremely pleased with the installation and overall efficiency. We spent months researching reviews of many different solar installers looking for quality, experience, reliability, and integrity. While price was an important factor, we looked for panel efficiency, roofing experience, clean installation, and long-term warranty and service. We certainly made the right decision. Sales representative Deanne was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and responsive to all our needs and questions. From day one, it was a very well organized and choreographed process. After evaluating our energy needs and using a drone with mapping software to measure our roof they developed an installation plan for our approval. Installation began about 2 months after initial contact during which Deanne stayed in touch to let us know where we were in the city's approval process. Approval took a bit longer since we were also installing a battery storage system. The installers were quick, clean and very polite. We were floored when their foreman, Pollo, told us they had found and replaced about 20 broken tiles on our entire roof with good tiles removed from the installation area. They also saved us an additional 15 tiles for future replacements. This was over and above the level of service we had ever expected. We really loved their "Master Tile" installation technique. Our 360-Watt solar panels were installed flush with our roof tile. It looks clean and keeps the birds from nesting beneath the panels. Also, there are no wires or conduits running over the roof or down the side of the house. All wiring is through the attic and down into the garage. The 50-year warranty on the Corning underlayment for that portion of our roof was a huge plus. We haven't had any rain yet, but we're confident there won't be any leaks. The installation of the battery was more complex and took an additional four days. Their head electrician Evan, was very patient in explaining everything and answering all our questions. He worked with us to identify up to ten home circuits the battery would backup in case of power failure. You could tell he and his crew took pride in their work. Clean installation and all the wires were in neatly running bundles. We had to wait several weeks for the electric company to approve the battery installation and give us permission to operate (PTO). Once again, Deanne kept in touch with us the whole time. In fact, the owner of the company, Mark, also an experienced electrician came out personally to commission and turn on our system. Finally, the few holes that had to be cut in the drywall to pull wire were neatly patched and textured to a perfect match. During the entire process their systems analyst, Erin, never skipped a beat with all the required regulatory paperwork and rebate submissions to the city and electric company. The bottom line is we were Wowed! Sun Power Green Convergence has been the best contractor we have ever dealt with to date. We highly recommend this company for their quality product, lengthy warranty offerings, and their outstanding communication and support. I can't say enough about how great my experience was with Green Convergence from start to finish. I heard about them through the Sierra Club. After reading up on reviews and their reputation for having the best solar panels in the industry with the longest warranty, I decided they would be my choice. I had a big project (3,000 square foot home plus a guesthouse) and wanted to get a new roof, solar, and 2 Tesla powerwalls so that in any emergency, we would always have electricity to power our large home. I want to mention the names of the people I worked with because they were all STELLAR. Our entire workup and game plan was done by Sam and he was incredibly thorough and answered very technical questions from my brother in law about solar. He answered calls from me immediately and even at night. He had patience with me and I can't speak highly enough about all the hard work he put into the project. Then there's April, the project manager. She kept me informed daily on what would be happening the next day, who would be coming, inspections etc. She is an amazing professional and her organizational skills can't be beat. Having done a few flips on homes in my life, I so appreciated having her expertise in this area, literally leaving me with nothing to do, but to give gatorades, water and sodas to all the workers. And what an incredible team of workers Green Convergence has. Edgar led the roofing crew and he was so nice and helpful, making sure every detail on the roof was perfect. This project was HUGE and there were 5 massive trucks on our street with all kinds of materials, and every day the crew cleaned up EVERYTHING which is not common with construction crews. These guys left my home spotless and none of my flowers, plants were damaged which was entirely unexpected. They were a super crew and so very, very courteous. Chase and Edward were the electricians on the job and they worked harder than I've ever seen people work. From early morning till late in the evening, they made sure we were up and running. They were humble and I will never forget how hard they worked for us. Evan (field manager) and Darren (foreman) treated me like gold and oversaw the entire project. They made sure everything the crews were doing was working and told me to call if I ever needed anything. What a great feeling to know they are there for support both now and in the future. Jesse provided a great service in doing the final touch ups on the job. What a nice service Green Convergence provided having someone like him on their staff. So happy with his work. And lastly, I needed the project to be done by July 1st and they finished 2 weeks ahead of time!!! That is unheard of! I am so happy knowing that now our house will have electricity during a disaster like an earthquake. It is such a safe feeling to have. From start to finish this was a class act group of people. I've never experienced such pros having been around lots of construction in my life. They get 5 stars all the way. If you want a no stress, no fuss experience, go with Green Convergence. I will commend them for the initial set up just over 2 years ago. The price was very competitive and we'll worth the investment. Now jump forward to current status. Last Tues I took a look at the Solar Edge application on my phone- it showed that since 8-14-19 the system was not performing. So I called at 5pm and got an answering service-left my data to please call me. Didn't receive a call back-so I called after 1 pm on Wednesday and the gentleman I spoke with claimed I was his next call-really you can't be serious-do you think I'm an idiot and was very happy to hear I WAS YOUR NEXT CALL-come on guy we're not in Alabama-get a better excuse for not returning my call. I'm told it takes 24 hours to get a response from Solar Edge and he would call me back with the status of when we could get this problem fixed. My concern is with the system not operational my home would be drawing of the SCE grid and I would have to pay $ for any power being used. I looked into it and sure enough my bill was well over $200. After not hearing back as of Thursday afternoon I call and speak with a lady who sets up an appointment for Monday 4 days later. Thinking great my electric bill will continue to increase-so I go to the main box outside my garage and test the 2 thirty amp fuses-1 is bad-make a trip to Lowe's and spend $18 on a 2 pack of 30 amp fuses. Replace the faulty fuse and guess what the system fires back up. I verify it today on my phone application. Call Green and let them know I fixed and to cancel the appointment. The response is that o should not touch there equipment it could void the warranty-well first off I didn't tamper with there equipment-i just changed out a blown fuse that will cost someone over $200 for the electric bill that shouldn't be. If I waited till Monday that would have added another $40 plus to my bill being the weekend when we're home running everything. Both individuals I spoke with claimed it's Solar Edges responsibility to cover my costs-i called Solar Edge and they are only responsible for the hardware on the system for any malfunction. I asked why isn't there an email that could be sent to my email to inform me when my system isn't working properly-the response was they don't have that available-really. Now to end up my rant-once I get my SCE bill I will repost on this site if it's not felt with. I gave 3 stars because overall its been well worth getting the solar system, but my after the fact treatment had been not good the last few days. read more

My wife and I recently had an amazing experience with "SUNPOWER," by Green Convergence: Nadia Foley, Lead Sales Consultant, was very knowledgeable, understanding and made pertinent recommendations to maximize our solar efficiency. Ms. Foley showed patience and always returned my phone calls in a timely manner, thus, she was a most pleasant person with whom to work! Once the decision was made on the date that the Solar Panels would be installed, Green Convergence assigned us their "A" team, which consisted of: Carlos Gutierrez, Lead Site Evaluation Tech; and Solar Installers-- Isaias (Foreman), Francisco, Victor and Jose. One of my concerns with the Solar Panels being placed on the roof was that all conduits that connected to the panels would not be visible on the roof. Isaias made sure that all conduits were placed in the attic, not visible to the naked eye. By hiding the conduits, the project had a clean look. Electricians Nico (Nickolas) and Matias were very professional and knowledgeable when changing the electrical panel (from 100 amp to 200 amp). Once the electrical panel was installed, the stucco needed to be redone around the panel. Green Convergence sent Jose and Daniel to my home to enclose the electrical panel. They did an outstanding job!!! One of the last things that needed to be done was to program the Solar Panels. Wesley came to the house and was very meticulous about his job. He made sure that everything was working according to specifications. A special thanks goes to Debbie, former Project Manager, for her pleasant personality, insight and due diligence. She made sure that the "train ran on time," i.e., that all of my work was done according to the schedule. (Note: Debbie is no longer with the Company as another company made her an offer she couldn't refuse.) I look forward to working with Deanne Dawson, (Debbie's replacement), Nadia Foley and Alex (Customer Service) in the future. It appears that Deanne is a hard worker who desires to please her customers and will make herself available when she is needed, which is "value added," to be sure. In Oct 2011, we decided the time as right to go Solar. In doing research, we found that the SunPower solar panels were the best value providing an efficiency rating of 18 where other companies were at 15. We also decided that a lease provided the best value because other than monthly lease payments, the responsibility for maintenance rested with SunPower. We determined we wanted a 100% system at 7.3kW. We called Mark at Green Convergence and he came back with a 7.4kW system recommendation. We knew we were on the same page. We also needed to replace our 25 year old roof. Green Convergence also has a roofing division, and DJ gave us a reasonable quote for the top of the line materials we wanted. They were able to start work in January. First with the roof. Outstanding job of keeping things nice and clean around the house while they worked. Once that was done, then it came time for the solar. In both cases, we found that their attention to detail in maintaining a clean work site, and doing top notch quality work were great. We had them do some additional work such as electrical and solar light tubes. The quality of their work and materials were again, top notch. An example of their quality work is that all of the interconnection lines for the panels are done inside the attic so we don't have unsightly grey boxes on our roof. The connection to the Inverter, which is mounted inside the garage, is neatly run in conduit and into walls to remain out if sight. After 2 years of operation, our Average monthly SCE bill went from $250 to $20 plus lease cost, which is still less then our Average monthly bill. (BTW, 6 months after the system was installed, we had a small pool put in. We run the pumps during the peak of the day since the solar system provides all the power.) Because of our pool, our solar system is providing about 95% of our total power. Even with the pumps running, the electric meter still runs backwards. We couldn't be happier with the Quality, Craftsmanship and Efficiency of our SunPower system by Green Convergence. Everyone we dealt with at Green Convergence treated us like we were family members. I found Green Convergence base on the recommendation of a coworker who had been very happy with the results of his installation and new rooftop solar system. He had done his homework and decided that SunPower panels were the top game in town as well. He had researched and talked to several places and he had been impressed that Green Convergence had grown from a long standing family business of roofing and contracting. so they really knew their stuff. Not wanting to rely strictly on my friend's recommendation I talked to a few companies as well and I was not blown away. One company in particular was clearly just a middle man and was based out of state and had no real clear idea of my needs. So I called Green Convergence and talked to Jeff Figueroa, who became my main contact. I found him to be informative, friendly and knowledgeable. I asked for a price breakdown for a system both with SunPower panels and one with something less pricey but not as strong, and he gave me clean, easy to follow estimates and breakdowns. I ended up choosing the SunPower system and have no regrets. I bought my system last year, so I just got my tax refund and paid off the bulk of the loan I took out and I feel if I work at it hard, I can knock out the smaller loan in a year. My wife pays the utilities while I take care of the mortgage, and now that the solar is really kicking in she is very happy with how much smaller our utility bill is. They also installed a 240v outlet by my driveway and just this week they came back and installed a home charging system for my new Chevy Bolt, which is really exciting. Sun powered car!!! :) So, I would definitely recommend meeting with them if you're looking for a solar option for your home. I'm about the most detail orientated customer I know. I research what I buy and who I buy it from. For solar I researched several options from ground mounts on my hillside to trying to squeeze out enough power I desired on the roof. I looked at the panel, monitoring and inverter technologies, roof mounting strategies and installation hardware. I'm a systems Engineer so it's kind of a curse. lol My goals; Quality installation for the home I don't intend on desecrating. No roof leaks, quality aesthetics, inside and out, no leftover holes, unfinished walls, broken/damaged property. All being as good or better off in all work areas after complete than when started. Basically getting good service. Fit the amount of power I want to generate in the space available and not eat what most installers are trying to sell me based on previous electrical usage. It's what I am going to use that matters, not what I have used and most installers don't get that. A sound long term investment in the best roofing installation and warranty that will pay for itself and add true value to my home. I received all of the above; A The crew that came out was professional and in good number to knock out the job in a few days. They had real professional that did a good job, taught junior installers the right way to do things and corrected every little issue that came up 100%. The installed the power system I requested, and how I requested. They used the best mono-crystalline Sunpower panels, AC inverters and monitoring station available. This experience exceeded my expectations in every way. We contracted Green Convergence because they were one of the only companies that would even look at our roof (we have an unusual slate-style roof with a material that must be handled with care). They provided a very detailed proposal and worked with me when I suggested modifications. I even had their calculations verified by a 3rd party, and they found that the proposal was conservative in its energy-production rates and pay-back period. Even in this age of Covid-19, they were very responsive and thorough in their communications. The project manager, April, was on top of things and made sure we knew what was happening every day. This was a large job (41 panels total covering 3 roof surfaces and access into 2 separate attics) and required roof replacement. We would have gone larger, but tree cover made the other roof surfaces unusable. It was all done in 4 days, from demo to solar power being available and GC handled all of the interface with the utility company and handled all necessary paperwork for permitting to sell back to the grid. Our utility bill has taken a wonderful nose-dive - we went from average $1000/mo electric bill to under $300 in the first month (our house is over 4,000sq.ft. and has a pool w/pump and a guest house that our son lives in - so we were always in the top tier rate). We would absolutely recommend Green Convergence and SunPower solar to anyone who is considering solar for their home or business. There are other products that are trying to undercut the market right now (looking at you - Elon) but the quality and performance of SunPower is still the best, IMHO. read more

After researching and talking with several solar companies, our roofing contractor and family friend for over 30 + years, Doug, referred us to SunPower by Green Convergence. We were impressed from the very beginning. Trevor, our "no pressure" very informative salesperson was very helpful in explaining how the whole system works and the process involved. Kate, our project manager, was extremely professional and basically held our hands and walked us through every phase of the installation. Without her I am sure the process would have been very confusing and painful. The panel installation team was on time, very professional and cleaned up throughly when done. Evan and Alex, the electrical installers were amazing and did a very clean and neat installation of all wiring and the upgraded 200 amp panel. I can't say enough good things about these 2 guys. Excellent work. Mark, one of the partners of the company, came out for the final installation of an upgraded thermostat, and was very helpful in answering all of our questions and concerns. So far the system is performing as described it would. We are generating more power during daylight hours than we consume in the evening hours. It appears we are on track to have SCE cut us a check instead of us paying them. I would recommend SunPower by Green Convergence to anyone looking to go solar. Our SunPower solar panels and SunVault batteries were installed right when SunPower declared bankruptcy. Although we had our PTO granted in January 2025, we could not activate our Sunvault batteries. For almost one year, we could not get a straight answer re how to activate our batteries. Our installer couldn't help us, SunPower was defunct, SunStrong was unresponsive and would not activate the batteries because we fully paid off the system, Complete Solaria would not/could not help, and various contractors gave us differing information. We were losing hope. That is until I contacted Green Convergence and they sent John Sosa, their technician. John Sosa is a solar wizard! He had the tools, the access, the experience, and the knowledge to fix a problem that had been plaguing us for 1 year. When another company said they would have to install different components and remap the solar panels to get the batteries online at the cost of thousands more, John was able to activate the batteries with no additional components needed, no remapping, in minimal time. Getting our Sunvault batteries running was really about contacting the right company and having the right technician, and in our case, Green Convergence was the right company, and John Sosa was the right technician. We contacted several highly rated Solar companies while doing research for our system. Green Convergence was by far the most professional and knowledgeable. Absolutely no high pressure sales pitch. Trevor and Debbie are top notch as was everyone we met from sales representatives, to roofers, solar installers, and electricians. Their customer service and workmanship is beyond outstanding. All of out neighbors have commented on the "clean look" of our install. No unsightly conduit running across the roof and down the walls of the house. These guys take pride in their workmanship and it shows. Our system was designed, permitted, and installed much quicker than we had anticipated. We received PTO within 3 days of the City giving final approval to the installation. Green Convergence was not the least expensive of the bids we received. The fact that they were local and had an outstanding reputation for great service, quality workmanship and sold a first class product resulted in our decision to go with them. A decision which we have not regretted. Our system had been operating since late November 2016. Our system has generated more than we have consumed since it was turned on and SCE owes us money. These people are the absolute best. From our very first conversation with their consultant, through the installation and power up of our solar system, everyone involved at Green Convergence was just awesome. Honesty is another big reason I chose them. I just felt comfortable with them, and there was never any "hard sell". They were always there to answer any questions we had, and everything went exactly as they said that it would. The installers were clean, polite, and really did a thorough job of keeping us informed as the installation progressed. The entire installation only took 3 days! We were amazed. Many of our neighbors that have had their systems installed by someone else are coming by and looking at our installation, and most are very envious. Our next door neighbor watched the installation very carefully, as our roof overlooks his yard, and he told us that he was very impressed with the quality and expertise of the workmanship. We have already referred some neighbors who, after seeing the job that Green Convergence did, have decided to go with them as well! I know this sounds like a lot of hype, but I promise anyone that chooses these people, you will be well taken care of. There were a lot of solar companies out there, but Green Convergence is one of the highest rated companies. Their staff is top notch, and the quality of their product is great. Nadia was very professional and helpful in providing me with the information I needed to make an informed decision on the type of solar panel system I wanted to install at my residence. Jamie was our project manager and walked us through the entire process. She was very patient, explained everything very clearly, and was quick to respond to my phone calls/texts. During the time that I applied, I also was eligible for a state rebate. Jamie was extremely helpful in helping to prepare the paperwork for me, making this a smooth and hassle-free process. When it came time to installing the panels, the installers were friendly, respectful of my property, and went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with the way everything was installed. The solar panels are one of the best in the industry, which is why I chose to go with them. Also, their solar panels and work backed by an amazing warranty. I began my quest looking at solar. I have not yet had my panels installed because the permits take time however,they did a re-foof to prepare my roof which I truely needed as my roof was leaking anyway. Apparently when I purchased this home the inspector missed that there were several layers of roofing in the front of the house. A price had been quoted to me assuming there was only one layer of roofing on the house and when the roofers got up there it was quite a different story. To my amazement DJ and Mark did the work for the origional quote!!! This quote was already lower than another estimate I had gotten. This was far more work than they bargained for but they have integrity and are solid professionals! I am in sales and I am well aware of what good service looks like and this is a company that provides it. All of my calls were answered promptly, roofers cleaned up, DJ even sent an additional cleaner to make sure my property was properly cleaned.I look forward to having my panels installed by Green Convergence as I consider their business ethics a blessing.Top of the heap! We've been researching Solar for some years. Our neighbor used SunPower Solar in Santa Clarita and we were impressed with how the company made the panels flush, so that you couldn't see them. This is a roofing company as well, so they not only install your panels, they are constantly checking your roof to insure there will be no leaks. I feared the "car salesman" approach to selling us a package. Instead, we were met by Jeff, son of the owner, who was SO knowledgable, and answered EVERY question we had. My husband is a commercial architect and spoke the same language as Jeff, and was impressed by Jeff's expertise. From our first meeting with Jeff, to the updates from Deborah in the office, to the final sign off from Edison, our experience with SunPower has been so positive. Once we received an okay from the County, the work was finished in 3 days. Edison came the next day and we were up and running in 4. We have already seen an amazing reduction in our electrical usage. From start to finish Mark and his entire crew was simply amazing. The professionalism they displayed was remarkable and I was never guessing to what step of the process I was on with the installation of my solar system. The detail of Green Convergence work was incredibly satisfying and I highly recommend them as your future solar company. One small example of their detailed work was when the roofers start their portion of the installation, they will ask the homeowner how many roof tiles they would like to keep? Strange question, but why not keep perfectly intact tiles for potential use later on. I told them to save me 30 tiles and at the end of the installation I was told they were only able to save 24 of the 30 tiles, because they used 6 tiles to replace broken ones. Here is the best part. These broken tiles were on a section of the roof they had nothing to do with. The roofers took it upon themselves to replace the broken tile and this is just one reason I really appreciated Mark and his crew. Thanks again Mark and Green Convergence for an amazing job. My wife and I just bought our first home this summer. As first-time home buyers are familiar with, this process can be fraught with challenges and that is before you actually get in the home. Our roof was in good condition but nearing its life expectancy so we decided to invest in a new roof. We believe in Green Energy Living so we included a solar roof as part of our roof upgrade. We are completely happy with our roof and Sunpower by Green Convergence. All of this would not have been possible if not for one extraordinary young lady, Deann Dawson. We were introduced to her by our roofer and we were skeptical but Deanne just won us over with her consistency, her warm and honest approach. She truly engenders trust. From the outset with clear and concise solar plans, followed by regular communication and checking back in with every step of installation, coordination with the power company, and meter setup and final powering up.
