Our battery has stopped charging, inverter has an error and it stopped producing by about 50%. It's difficult to get a hold of anyone quickly but Tony reached back out a day later for an appt with a tech and fox rep 2 days away. The tech did not turn up. fox and myself couldn't get a hold of anyone for 2 hours while we are waiting for info on why they aren't here. Fox found installation mistakes and helped identify the issue even though they aren't supposed to touch the installation, 2 panels shorted out and I need first American to fix it. The tech made some excuses for not turning up, said they had turned up at a different time for some reason, although my cameras don't show anyone at that time either. It's now been a week and no one will provide me with a day or time for an appointment. They outsource the techs, they do not work for first American. Im left with a system that won't charge, producing 1/3 of the output and im left holding the bag with a company that won't provide support service, you pay the money and then you aren't a priority when it doesn't work. Zero priority even when they missed the appointment. Tony's been answering the phone so he's the only one I can put a good word in for but there's no service reliability from First American after the fact. I'll update this review with the eventual outcome.

Unfortunately, their post-install customer support and business ethics are nonexistent. I referred a friend who completed their installation months ago. I was explicitly promised a $500 referral bonus for this. After months of waiting, I tried following up multiple times privately to give them a chance to make it right, but I am now being completely ignored. It's a shame because I have several neighbors here in Fountain Valley who are currently shopping around for solar and battery storage. I was planning to refer them here, but I cannot recommend a company that fails to honor its own written agreements and ducks communication. This job for us today needed someone who could really pay attention to the details of spacing and leveling and being appropriately mindful of about 4K worth of semi-delicate fixtures. A coworker also recommended them which was reassuring. We did have a metering issue with SoCal Edison, and Solar Optimum was actually the one that caught the error. We paid this company twice. 1st after the inspection was done, and another after they installed the new inverter for us. We paid what the technician told us was owed on the spot after they did their work. Over 6 months later, we get a call from them stating we did not pay the required installation cost. We paid what the technician told us to pay on the spot, same day they finished the install, before they left our property. Now they are saying we owe them more money. STAY AWAY Unless you want to get a collections call months later!
