I had 4 appointments with Smile Design & Wellness Center and I experienced unprofessionalism,…read moredisorganization and a controlling atmosphere amidst a very uncaring attitude. (1) I waited over 2 months to see Dr. Rob Brown, as a new patient, and after meeting with the office manager, I was told that I would instead be seeing Dr. Edwards. I told the office manager that I had waited 2 months to see Dr. Brown and found this "switch" to be very disreputable. Dr. Brown was 45 mins - 1 hr. late for my appointment because he had squeezed in someone ahead of me as an emergency. (2) I had a $168 teeth cleaning that felt like I was being waterboarded and my teeth were being sandblasted. The teeth cleaning seemed to abruptly stop as the next patient arrived. For $168, I wondered if they had done a complete cleaning of my teeth. (3) One of my front teeth suddenly experienced gum recession, loosened and fell out. I called for an appointment and was told that Dr. Brown was out on surgery, but Dr. Edwards could see me. I had expensive X-rays ($471) done and Dr. Edwards told me the condition was not that uncommon and that 4 of his teeth experienced a similar condition. I was OK with my "partial" being ready by Thursday (a week) and didn't ask for it to be done quicker. Specific information about how the partial would look was not discussed or provided to me. So after paying $1,437, I was looking forward to getting my partial next week. (4) I was contacted by text and told that they wanted to delay my appointment to get my partial an hour later. This dental practice (office manager) switched half my appointments up or back at the last minute with little advance notice. The dental assistant placed a thick retainer in my mouth that was unlike any partial that I had ever seen. Worse yet, the tooth in the partial didn't match the size or color of my other teeth. I told the dental assistant that this was not acceptable to me. Dr. Edwards agreed that the partial didn't look right and apologized for the error. I was told that the redone partial would likely come in the next Wednesday and Dr. Brown would be back by then. When I went to schedule my appointment to receive the redone partial, they told me I'd have to wait until Thursday for an appointment. I mentioned that Dr. Edwards said that the partial would likely be back on Wednesday. I was told that although Dr. Brown was back, he was all booked up and Dr. Edwards was in surgery that afternoon. Recalling how they squeezed in someone ahead of me on my initial appointment, I asked to speak to the office manager. She arrived and I pointed to her office so that we could talk privately about this situation. She was unwilling to meet with me privately and said that she could only give me a minute. I mentioned that I waited over an hour when Dr. Brown squeezed someone in before my appointment and asked if they would show me the same consideration and squeeze me into Dr. Brown's Wednesday schedule. The office manager and Dr. Edwards were offended that I asked for a Wednesday appointment! I reiterated that I wanted to get the partial ASAP. They wouldn't work with me to try and make up for the delay and poor workmanship of the first partial, so I reluctantly settled for the Thursday appointment. As I was driving away, the office manager, who only seconds ago could only spare me one minute, came running after me and told me that "I wasn't a good fit" (see other reviewer's "not a good fit" review) and they were going to refund me the cost of the wrongly made partial. That is accurate! I am not a good fit for disorganized and disreputable behavior, poorly made dental appliances, excessive fees and a very controlling dental practice. I am glad to be gone from this dental practice and just wish that I had heeded the bad omens about this practice that were there from the start!

Like a lot of people, I never enjoyed going to the dentist (who does, right?), but Dr. Haley somehow made the entire long process of getting fillings, relaxing, seemingly short, and easy. She is so gentle, detailed, kind, and genuine, that I drove over an hour to see her to have some fillings done that I had been putting off because of the pandemic. She is an expert who truly loves helping her patients with their dental health, and it shines through in all that she does. I recommend her for both adults and children, as she is incredibly kind and caring to the tenth power. She uses some of the best BPA-free materials, and has newer technologies like DIAGNOdent to detect cavities accurately, which a lot of other dentists don't have. She also takes ample time for her patients, answers all questions, and never rushes her appointments. Her office also offers patients everything from themed rooms (Star Wars, Space, Music, etc.) herbal tea, blankets, and massage chairs, to Pandora music and ceiling-mounted TVs with Netflix movies with headphones to pass time during dental treatments. Who would have thought going to the dentist for fillings would be on par with a spa day or a mini vacation. The staff is amazing and super kind as well; I could literally hear them smiling over the phone whenever I called to make an appointment. If heaven had a dentist office, Dr. Haley Freymiller would definitely be on the team; that's how awesome she is. Thank you to Dr. Haley and to everyone at the Smile Design & Wellness Center!

My dental bridge doesn't fit, I can't eat on it, and I'm in pain daily. When I contacted the Dr…read moreabout being in pain, I was ignored for 2 days after 6 texts and felt I was being discriminated against, because Dr had shown how repulsed she was that I had tarter and plaque. From the initial consultation there were issues. I had a 3 tooth, 1 pontiff bridge procedure. I was not given the right diagnosis. The Dr failed to tell me 3 teeth had huge fillings and were very close to the nerve. Which meant possibly 3 root canals on top of bridge cost - that I could not afford. Xrays show depths of fillings and how close to the nerve they are, but Dr said she couldn't tell beforehand. After the tempory was glued on, I was again in very much pain on top of the pulpitis, because the Dr didn't have the bite adjusted correctly. In the meantime, the mold for the permanent bridge had been dropped and broken. I had to have the temporary removed, a new impression, and the temp re glued back in. All this extra trauma was not helpful for my pulpitis or trauma on teeth. Yet the main reason for this dispute is the new bridge doesn't fit, I'm in pain daily, and can't eat on that side of my mouth. After all that time.. redos, pulpitis, broken impression, bite off 2x and it's not right or functional and hurts. The bridge is too short compared to every other tooth in my mouth by a lot. Esp the 2 teeth closest to my front teeth. Also, the teeth don't line up and one is much larger than the others - sticks out on inner mouth side, with a sharp protrusion, and hurts. When I try to eat on this bridge, food gets stuck on the low part. The bite is also off again a on one of the higher teeth! This bridge should have never been permanently cemented in place. When Dr saw how it didn't fit, it should have gone back to the lab for redo. The bridge needs to be removed and redone. I'm concerned my teeth can't withstand the trauma of a redo. And when I informed the office I was in pain, I was ignored for days. I really feel the Dr did not want to get near my mouth till after my cleaning. They had always replied to texts quickly in the past - that was how we communicated. In summary, the Dr was negligent with the initial consultation; my bite was off twice causing excruciating pain; the mold was broken and I had to go back for another impression etc; and the bridge doesn't fit and is too short in 2 teeth, and too large on one tooth on back side. The bridge is my main complaint. The rest I could forgive, if the bridge were functional. There is daily pain where one bridge tooth protrudes, but can't be drilled enough to fix it without drilling thru the crown.
