I Just Love the people and the wide range of things that you can buy get and order. If at anytime you have a problem or question they don't hesitate to help you out with it. Very convenient!! I've been a customer of Sunflower Natural Foods for a number of years, and felt good about supporting this local business. I am a member of the Co-op in Concord, but have always come to Sunflower first. That changed today. One of the employees (though you'd think she owned the place) was so rude to my 17-year-old daughter this afternoon that I was flabbergasted. We were looking at shampoos, and when my daughter flipped the cap to smell it (a reasonable thing to do), she barked, "Don't do that! Now that product is compromised and we can't sell it! If it doesn't say 'tester,' don't touch it!" She then got down off her ladder, strode over to where we were still looking at products--stepped in front of us without even saying "excuse me"--and snapped the bottle off the shelf. She then loudly announced to the woman working in the back of the store that she was placing a product that had been "compromised by a customer" on the counter up front. Needless to say, my daughter was mortified. Now don't misunderstand: I can appreciate the need to keep product in an "uncompromised" state. However, my daughter is NOT the type to squeeze bottles, break seals, or apply product that is not labelled "tester;" in fact, she is the most respectful teenager I know (and I SHOULD know--I teach high school). And since respectful teenagers are a rare commodity these days, I am angered to think that this woman treated my daughter in this manner. Her manner, in fact, was positively ELITIST, and being within the confines of a natural food store does not give anyone the right to act that way (though there's plenty of it around). This is a tough economy, and good, consistent customers are hard to come by. This former customer of Sunflower Natural Foods will be taking her (significant) business to Concord in the future. read more

Sunflower is a great, tiny little natural foods market in a cute spot right in the middle of a town that benefits from it being there! They have surprisingly good prices on things like GF bread and eggs, considering their small size. They have been such a help since we've moved getting GF foods for a reasonable price (like our most favorite marshmallows!) and everyone there is very sweet and friendly. If you're interested in supporting local businesses in your town, and by extension local producers and farmers, take your business over to these friendly folks! read more

The people who work there know a lot about food and well being and are happy to share what they know with you in order for you to make good decisions. I love the food and non food items that they stock...personal products, cleaning stuff, pet stuff, books, jewelry - so many lovely things produced with care. I've been a customer for many years and have watched the business grow and expand. They have a variety of health items ranging from vitamins and supplements, whole and organic foods, to personal care, cleaning supplies and gifts. There is a small fresh produce area as well as a freezer for various frozen items. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. If you don't see something, just ask -- in the past they've special ordered items for me. On that note, if you don't see something on one visit, check back with them again -- I've noticed they're always adding new things and apparently keep up with the latest research and trends. Sign up for their email newsletter and you'll be kept abreast of classes and sales. I only put 4 stars because the store is small and it can be difficult to find things and it seems crowded even when there are only a few customers. However, I believe it is probably the most well-stocked natural food store in the area. read more

I have to agree with Stora K. I had a bad experience with a female employee as well. I had ordered 4 blocks of cheese and was told they would call when it came in. When I picked it up this employee insisted I BUY THE WHOLE CASE!! When I refused she yelled, in front of customers, that I could not leave unless I purchased all of it!! Then she proceeded to call me, actually more like scream it, a liar. I was mortified tat she was so classless and unprofessional to act this way in front of the whole store. The owners came over and apologized for her behavior and the misunderstanding. to this day if I go in to purchase something she stares at me and gives me dirty looks. Really?!! How are old are you? She does not have the customer skills that are needed and should be working behind a desk!! read more
