You have to deal with the Call Center in Chicago but staffed with those who do not speak English well. Not trying to be critical because they are super nice and patient but it's extremely difficult to understand them and there's only so much you can do because you will NOT be given contact information directly to the office you want to call. The follow-up visit was scheduled in my hometown, only to find the place CLOSED for the day. I was told that I had the wrong date and that it was on another day. That would have been very odd for me to have agreed to that since I was going to be on VACATION and OUT OF TOWN. I stood in front of the receptionist the day I put it in my calendar and repeated the date several times, which she agreed was accurate. When I finally got in for the visit to get the prescription for my new glasses, the doctor totally botched my prescription. Once it was filled, I can't see anything. I knew something was off when I looked at the power of the bifocal. It has NEVER been that high. Their "correction" left me seeing things cross-eyed. Trying to get back in to get this prescription corrected and they wanted to charge ME. Took some doing to get that fee removed. They FINALLY called me back with another appointment, however, I've made another appointment with my regular optometrist. My NEXT cataract surgery will be done somewhere else. BTW...mine is the first and only review for the Toledo office. You will notice that they have several locations in Ohio and Michigan. Look at all the reviews before making a decision. You will find that many are saying the same things at the locations where they went.

I have been very uncomfortable since the surgery and finally had another doctor look at it (actually ended up with 3 looking and all agreed). My first surgery at this "Institute" removed too much of my eyelid which now does not allow me to properly close my eyes. I am now scheduled at the hospital to have a skin graft put on my eyelids so I can be comfortable. I highly suggest you don't use this group.

For me topical gel pain meds that go on the top of eye when the meddle goes deep into your eye does not work.He stated it's not painful I have people from 7 to 85 That get them and they don't think it is painful ,but if you want to scream go ahead I don t care. When l asked him for pain meds or something else he said my insurance does not cover it . It also was painful at the injection site for 10 days I saw Drs at the Cleveland clinic and got a pain shot first and then injection. Much better and one day recovery Now how do you explain that he could not get them to pay another one could ? Also during the other appointment they said he did some questionable work Now it s up to you if you go or not.

My mother is almost 80 years old, and sometimes has trouble following their instructions, but they work with her until they can give her the best possible care.
