I recently lost a silicone nose piece for a pair of my WP glasses, and visited earlier today. A feature I really appreciate is that whether the shop is busy or not, upon entering I'm greeted by a representative who asks for my email address. Once given, I'm immediately placed in line for whatever service I need. I get a text instantly, letting me know I'm in the queue and will be served in the order I arrived at. This is really, really, important when the shop is busy. Each visit, I've been treated with respect and courtesy; and have been able to resolve my concerns with a minimum of effort. Abood was helping me today, and I've come to trust the staff at the Old Town Alexandria shop for all of my vision needs (although I still rely on my long-time opthalmologist to do the medical and vision exams each year). I'm very favorably impressed with the service, the staff, and the quality of the experience.

I became a regular at the store and sadly moved away in the beginning of 2025. But I still purchase items for work through them because the prices cannot be beat. FMJ is like no other military surplus store I've ever been to. The selection is better than anything I've seen. Over the years I've collected many different items. Some for work, others for my home office collection. But every time I enter the store, for better or worse I always leave with something. They stay busy on social media as well and are very interactive. Check them out on Instagram if you have one, sometimes you can see some of the surplus on there before it hits their shelves. Easiest 5/5 stars I've ever given. Next time I'm in the DMV I will be stopping by. It's tradition at this point.

My nephew was just a kid and like me, loved having the freedom of a bicycle so I decided to give him my old classic Stumpjumper. Well, my nephew grew up and got a car and one day asked me if I wanted my bike back which I very happily took back. But it had been sitting in the garage for years. I originally took it to two shops in SoCal and they both said around $400. Didn't have time to fix it before moving to Arlington so took my bike with me and took it to another shop in the area and they said $800! I wasn't crazy about that so came here to Big Wheel. The owner looked at my bike and was like, $150-200. I was like, naw my bike needs a lot of work. Why don't you hold on to it and let me know? Well, he fixed it up and charged me $200! All those other shops were going to buy me new wheels. He was like, I took a good look at your wheels and they're old, but you don't need new ones. You can ride those out until they blow. Agreed. He also said he could restore it (my bike was filthy) but what was the point? It's a mountain bike. Agreed. So replaced some cables, a spoke, tightened up all the loose joints, oiled and ready to ride. I rode it to my car from the shop and it rides great! Yep, this is the place.

I really appreciated that they didn't just fix it--they made sure I understood what happened. And the little details made such a difference: they even asked me what kind of music I wanted them to play in the store while they were working on my bike. Such friendly, knowledgeable, and thoughtful customer service. I felt really taken care of and will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend Big Wheel!

This trip was one that I actually packed for. Whether H&M is recycling clothes to cut down on their carbon footprint or seeming charting trends and styles as I believe, I don't know for sure. I haven't done too much research. I do know that for a tied bag of clothes donated you get a coupon and you get a coupon. So now for the particulars...por fín. I have never been to this H&M outpost but I dug it as soon as I entered. I didn't remember seeing security which usually has me confused because I want to speak but I don't want them to watch me for speaking. Shopping ain't easy for everyone. So this H&M was cool. So this is where all the youngns are getting their NASA clothes. More importantly clothes weren't "jumpin' jumpin'" off the racks which seems like it should always be the case but no.@ Also, clothes weren't on the floor and oddly, there wasn't any music playing. Surely this was probably an error but either way, it gave the store a swanky vibe that I never felt in an H&M. After depositing my clothes in the bin by the register, the cashier gave me a coupon, painlessly. I don't know bout you but I always need socks. Never athletic socks, socks. So that makes me a sock snob shopping at H&M with a coupon, ham I am--going. So, I found the socks and before I started picking them out I noticed that my coupon had expired--months ago. So that made me anxious thinking about if they would accept it and if I could get this three for whatever dealio. Everything worked out well my friend. I with three pairs of socks, satisfied with my experience at H&M. Had I not pushed for a second review, I genuinely worry they may have proceeded with surgery despite the risks. I also requested a direct explanation from the doctor and never received one. Instead, I had to repeatedly call the office just to get basic answers and speak with someone knowledgeable. My impression is that the process felt far more focused on moving patients through surgery than on patient safety and communication. I would strongly encourage anyone considering a procedure here to ask detailed questions, seek a second opinion, and carefully review whether they are truly a good candidate before moving forward. I also felt the recovery expectations were presented in a way that understated how difficult and lengthy recovery can actually be.

Here they have TB certain styles that work for Asian nose and many more including Coach designs which I didn't see in the actual Coach store. It is easy to get to from DC or Virginia. I enjoyed coming here to get out of the heat and relax for a while.

The place is kind of off in the cut, but there was parking available. They are cash only,, which I didn't remember reading in the other reviews, but no biggie for me. My service was supposed to take 30 minutes. I left to go get cash, and by the time I drove to the 7-11 down the street, they were calling me back saying my glasses were ready. I felt the price i was quoted was fair. I'm SOOOOOO glad they were able to fix these frames!
