I would strongly caution anyone considering making a purchase at the Sunglass Hut in Downtown Disney. Their return policy is not as simple or customer-friendly as it's presented. If you order glasses that aren't immediately available in the store, your return window starts on the purchase date, not the date you actually receive your glasses. In my case, I purchased them on the 26th but didn't receive them until 5-6 days later, which significantly reduced the time I had to decide whether they were right for me. When I attempted to return them, I was told they could not be accepted because they had been worn. However, there was absolutely no damage, scratches, or signs of wear--they were simply tried on and worn briefly to determine whether they were a good fit. The glasses were returned in like-new condition. For premium-priced sunglasses, I expected much better customer service and a more reasonable approach. Instead, I felt the policy was applied in a way that favored the store rather than the customer. Before purchasing from this location, make sure you fully understand the return policy and how they calculate the return period. If you're spending hundreds of dollars on sunglasses, it's worth doing your research and considering other retailers with more customer-friendly return policies. read more

During my latest Disneyland trip for the Holidays, my husband and I had a chance to go shopping in Downtown Disney on a Saturday evening. It was busy since it was a few weeks before New Years, but we did have a chance to go inside the Sunglass Hut. It was my first time inside the store! It's near the eastern end of Downtown Disney, right next to the parks and Starbucks! In 2025, the store had a refurbishment and was closed for several months. Other sunglass hut kiosk pop ups were available though! The Sunglass Hut just recently reopened with refreshed branding and interior design. There is updated space feature LED lit walls showcasing the wide selection of sunglasses. Several team members came up to us and asked if we needed any help. Since it was my first time, I decided to look around first. There was a wide selection of sunglasses! Sunglass Hut has brands like Ray Ban, Oakley, Versace, Gucci, Prada, Costa, and more! I didn't realize Disney had their own themed styles as well! I ended up looking at some of the Disney sunglasses too! This is a convenient retail shop to stop by inside if you're spending the day at Disneyland or strolling through Downtown Disney. Downtown Disney Sunglass Hut is a big store with a huge selection of glasses. It's probably even bigger than some of the other locations. Plus, there were plenty of sales associates on hand to help this busy location. So why am I giving 3 stars? Well, I didn't like the comment the sales associate said to me. I was looking at a pair of Gucci glasses, and asked her if she could tell me the style and cost since I didn't have my regular glasses on. She told me the style and that they were $590. She then said to me: "I have less expensive pairs." I looked back at her, and told her the cost didn't matter to me. I was offended that she made that statement to me. First of all, why would you assume that I needed something less expensive? Very rude to assume something when all I asked was the style and price since I couldn't see the small writing on the tag. I purchased a pair of Oakley Meta sunglasses $499.00 I wasn't too sure that I would like them. The sales person said, "no problem you have 30 days to return them". Also, she told me that for only $64.99 I could buy the protection plan and I could get a replacement, incase any thing happens to them, even lens scratches. OK, I was sold I had nothing to lose, or so I thought...! After 2 weeks, and only wearing them for about an hour, I decided to return them. Back at the stand, a different sales person that day asked me if I was aware of their return policy....? Anyway she looked at the unit and said one of the lenses was scratched. After I cleaned them, there were no scratches that I could see. Not wanting to argue, I told her I would use the purchase protection plan, get a new pair and return the new one, but apparently there is a copay, and you don't get a free replacement at all. It would cost me nearly 1/2 the original price for a scratch that I couldn't even see. Also the return is only for the original pair. I know what you're thinking; sucks to be you dude... I was in the store for about five minutes, clearly browsing and waiting for help, but no one ever acknowledged me. I was ready to buy some Meta Glasses... The employees were helping other guests around me, but never greeted me, checked in, or even made eye contact. I felt completely unseen and ignored. I have visited this Sunglass Hut before to purchase 2 pairs in the past as a Disney Pass Holder, but today was the exact opposite. I ended up leaving without getting any help or making a purchase. Kyle and Caleb are the greatest customer service reps I've ever encountered at a Sunglass hut. I swear I felt like it was a broadway performance. They made me feel like money, like a Beverly bills client..telling me what fits and what doesn't. I visited last year and purchased Ray Bans and a warranty. They immediately succumbed to a manufacturer's defect. I contacted both Ray Ban and Sunglass Hut, and was told I couldn't use the warranty without going back. I made it back to this store 14 months later with the sunglasses I hadn't been able to wear in over a year. They gave me the run around promising replacement if I went to the other kiosk, etc. making me wait while they called people. Ultimately, they could do nothing to help me. The people who work here are misleading crooks, and they are selling bad models. Recommend against going here. Better to buy from online or at home so you have any means of service. I will never buy a warranty here again. They won't even refund the warranty they refused to honor. read more

My wife and I sometimes like to browse the new Disney Ray-Bans whenever they come in, and every time we come in to browse, everyone is very friendly and welcoming. I recently stepped on my sunglasses and luckily, only the lenses broke. They helped me get a new set of lenses shipped to the store. Took about ~2wks even during the holiday. Once the lenses were in, all we needed to do was go back in and they replaced the lenses right there on the spot. When we bring our kids to Disneyland or California Adventure, we usually take a stroll to downtown disney either to eat or do a little shopping. This Sunglass hut locations staff always gives us a warm welcome and immediate to help. A review is definitely overdue and apologize for waiting so long. Eddie was super helpful with all my questions and patient with my kids (felt bad because they were running around and touching everything ). That's when Ash came in and assisted my kids in trying out the child sun glasses while Eddie patiently answered all my questions. Team work! The sunglass hut at downtown Disney has now become my go to for anything sunglass related! I went in yesterday, Friday, June 7 and was so fortunate to have Ariel help me and assist me. She's amazing. She helped me before with Mother's Day gifts and Father's Day gifts and yesterday she helped me get a pair for myself. She's very knowledgeable and showed me so many different styles and ideas and explained different features, and I was very appreciative! She made it so much fun and finally we found a really nice pair! I was able to wear them right away and they're so comfortable and I love how they look ! The customer service here is just fantastic! While in Disneyland, the teeny screw which holds the arm to the sunglasses fell out lost forever. Obviously I was very disappointed especially considering I am leaving on a trip in a couple of days and wouldn't have time to repair them before I leave. The park has closed & I'm walking through Downtown Disney heading to Pixar Pals I see the Sunglass Hut is still open so I decide to ask if they can help repair my Ray-Bans. Caleb greeted me and after explaining my dilemma he immediately says it's not a problem & asks if I can wait a moment. A few seconds later Jessica approaches, pulls out a tool box, after a few attempts finds the right sized screw & screws it in. This is to go to place for sunglasses. Prices are a little up there but I am sure you will find the most trendiest pair. The new Disney Mickey line is pretty cool too. I can't say anything bad about this place! I was walking my way to disneyland and the sun was hitting my eyes extra hard that day. I recently lost my Rayban wayfarer sunglasses and needed some asap! I stopped by this location on a Friday around 1:30pm looking for my Rayban wayfarers. I'm thinking they wouldn't have a wide selection due to this small start and not a traditional store. But when I got there they had all the Rayban styles I was interested in! Rayban wayfarer matt black that folded , Matt black that did not, polarized. And traditional wayfarers and it's polarized counterpart. I can be easily up sold if the salesman plays his cards right. I like to be sold on something if it's truly better. I have to give it up to the young man and young lady that worked here. I was sold on the non polarized wayfarer Raybans but he really showed me how the polarized option was way better. The anti glare coating on the polarized Raybans are a lifesaver (eyesaver)! The fact that the staff knew there stuff and up sold me by $50 shows they are helpful and knowledgeable. checkout was fast and service and salesmanship was great.. Disney annual pass holder ?
