This review is overdue but I needed to write about my experience because Jenny and her team went above and beyond for me! I came by in October 2022 to see if I could exchange a pair of glasses that I bought at another SG-- it was still within 11 months of purchase and I had the Sun Love protection plan. The representatives who assisted me were friendly and helpful-- I sadly don't remember their names!-- but for some reason, my protection plan could not be located in their system even though I had an emailed receipt. The store manager wasn't available that day so I was told to return another day. Fast forward and I return to the store when Jenny is working-- I pick out a pair and she works her magic to exchange my old pair for the new. They were super cute! BUT, as soon as I wore them driving the next day, I realized that I was going to have problems-- the lenses weren't dark enough for me. I have serious problems with tension headaches and migraines so having a pair of glasses that cuts glare and has effective light protection is crucial. I called back the store and told Jenny about my problem-- I was prepared for her to say no, that I couldn't exchange for a new pair because it was a one-time exchange-- however, she was very accommodating and allowed an exchange of the new pair for ones that were polarized. I paid the difference which was more than fair. I left a very happy customer and this Sunglass Hut has a fan for life! I'm super satisfied with my glasses and wear them daily. Absolutely horrible experience today, Sunglass hut should be cautious when selecting employees. Customer service should be kind and respectful; I bought a pair of Versace glasses weeks ago, Lizeth and Jose were the best and friendly, they sold me a pair that it was on display, they didn't have more in the back, the glasses never came with a case or a piece of cleaning microfiber, i was surprised when I arrived home but not a big deal. Two days ago a friend of mine bought the exact same brand and style at a different location and a case was included and I explained my experience and they said they all come with cases and I should probably go back with the receipt to get one. I called to the store first and Jesus in a friendly manner suggested that I should go in the morning time to see the manager. Today I went back to the store and kindly asked if I could get a case, and a guy named "Jess" or "Jesse" had a horrible attitude he just repeatedly said "I guarantee it came with a case" I said it didn't and he could check the cameras, but I was able to purchase one if they sale cases separately, that's why I took my glasses with me to the store to make sure they fit... he did not respond!.., he just rolled his eyes and look at the roof. First off, my best friend who lives in CO told me about these purple MK sunglasses. Next thing you know I am thinking about them. Purple is my signature color and I love rose gold. I am also a lover of Michael Kors accessories so this item definitely had my name on it. This model is called Chelsea. I wish it was called Sophia. LOL! Anyway, I call the store and Michael helps me on the phone. He said they had it in back stock. Next day I went to the store to see how they fit and look. Since it was a birthday gift for him we wanted to buy them for a surprise gift, so we brought pictures to see if Anthony could help us find a perfect pair. At first we were dead set on a pair but they were the last pair and already had a minor scratch on them, so we decided to consult with Anthony and he provided us a great recommendation! He was very engaging with us and honestly he offered a great customer service experience. My coworker had her sunglasses swiped at work, so she needed to buy a new pair. We went to the mall at lunch, and there was just 1 guy working there on a Monday afternoon. He was falsely cheerful, and reminded me of a used car salesman... and a sales man he was! He directed my friend to Tory Burch at the $200+ glasses. Never really asked her what she was looking for, if she had a budget, or if she liked a particular brand.. just kept firing one designer pair of glasses after another. My friend kept handing back his "suggestions" saying "too big" "too wide" "doesn't have a bridge" Sales guy goes "NO problem! I'm here to fire away as many sunglasses as you want to try on". He didn't even try to suggest glasses suitable for an asian face. Finally my friend looked at the Coach and found a pair she liked. She didn't really say if she was going to get the glasses, but the guy was already wiping them down, taking off the stickers. "Wait a minute", she said. "I'm not getting a new pair?" The sales guy said "I only have 1 pair" then added "Hey if you don't like them, find a scratch or whatnot, you have 90 days to return them" Before I could suggest walking to the Coach retail store (literally down the mall walkway), the transaction was done. She forked over $160 for sunglasses that were tried on by 100s of people with their grubby little hands and greasy faces. Ew. She asked about the cleaning cloth (that came with the Coach sunglass case) and the guy tried to upsell her on the Sunglass Hut cleaning "kit" for $10! My friend then asked for a bag (so it didn't look like she stole the stuff) and the guy (without looking) said "Gee, I have no bags". Sorry but unless those sunglasses were 1 of a kind, and available only there, I would have gone to another store for a "fresh" out of the package glasses, not the display ones. 2 stars is being quite generous considering I think my friend could have done better. read more

Worse customer service by store manager jenny ! We go there today because of the broken nose pad on my boyfriend Ray Ban sunglasses which he already paid for the insurance for it on May, The attitude of store manager was very rude and unprofessional she told us that we have to pay more because the sunglass is more expensive now ! Or we can down grade the glasses, we try to explain that we already paid extra for insurance but she doesn't even care and she told us you didn't get this glass in my store so you just have to go back to the location that we originally bought it !!! Which is in San Clemente!!!!! We drove 33 miles to San Clemente and our problem was solved by super exceptional customer service by Roby ! We definitely never ever go back to the main place mall location but i have an advise for Jenny the store manager YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE RETAIL BY THIS RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE!!!! Aside from overpaying for Sunglasses at Sunglass Hut, and a wider selection of sunglasses at other locations like the one at spectrum and south coast plaza. This location deserves 5 stars for its customer relations! I bought a pair of sunglasses here, and this one girl helped pick them out for me and gave me her opinion. She was pretty nice. I ended up buying 3 pairs that day. Sunglass Hut has a really nice 90-day return policy so you can try them on and ask the opinions of your friends. Today I went back in because I had lost my Arnette sunglass bag (my fault). I've tried numerous places (2 in the Camarillo Outlets, very horrible customer service that lies!) to no avail, but this one location was able to give me a new one free of charge! She was really nice about it. I'd highly recommend this location. I'm pretty sure I'm going to come back here for my next pair again! read more

Bought $320 Versace sunglasses for my wife the end of October. We were driving to the store and all of the sudden one of the lenses fell off, it seems one of the screws came loose and frame literally fell apart. We took them to sunglass hut inside of Macy's and received the worst customer service imaginable, the staff was very uninterested in resolving our issue and actually just hand wrote the number on a piece of paper to call customer service and send it to them. In other words They love taking your money but if you need something then they just give you a number to call. Luckily I saw one of the managers for Macy's and she made it right. We love Macy's and their customer service is above and beyond what anyone would expect. I wish Macy's will get rid of sunglass hut inside their stores as they do no or measure to the level of customer service Macy's customers are used to. It can reflect on Macy's and not sunglass hut since most people think they are buying from Macy's. read more

I haven't had a pair of Oakley's in years, last time I bought some was here when I got my pair of frog skins. So this past weekend I came back here looking for a new pair of Oakley's and I was helped right away by Andy after browsing for just a minute. After telling him what I was looking for he showed me a couple of options. I was there for about half an hour since I was so undecided on what to get (they have a wide selection!) and during this time Andy would ask me every now and then if I needed any help and offering his opinion when I told him I couldn't decide, which I appreciated. Very helpful and courteous! I finally decided on the Oakley Fuel Cell Polarized, which I love. I must say the young lady at the counter, Brooklyn provided the best customer service I think I have ever received at any retail location. I purchased a pair of Black Puma sport sunglasses from Sunglass Hut at the Brea Mall location (close to work) about 3 weeks ago. Exactly 11 days after I purchased them the bottom portion of the left frame cracked. I took the shades along with my original receipt to the Main Place Mall location (close to home). The manager there was super friendly and understanding. Not only did she swap out my broken pair with a new one, because they happened to be having a sale on Puma sunglasses, so she refunded me the difference (I felt like I made money for a new pair of shades!). Needless to say as of today I returned the pair because they don't really work for me. The same gal remembered me and showed me a couple of other pairs but none of them fit on my solodome. She gave me a refund and told me to check in with them next time im in the area to see what new inventory they have.
