I usually go to this location to get all of my Rey Bans, but today I went in to just browse and the staff was amazing! Non of them were trying to be tooo pushy to get me to buy. Jeffrey was a very patient, polite and a Knowledgeable guy. I only bought a cleaning kit today and was treated like I bought a diamond ring! Desiree was very helpful with my girlfriend who was also in the store with me. I love this place, and I'm definitely coming back for a few purchases sooner then I normally would, thanks to them! Caleb went out of his way to help us, recommending glasses for my son, who was looking at Oakley's for baseball. We did not purchase on our first visit, but when we walked in two days later, Caleb remembered us and exactly what we were looking at. I had been looking for a specific pair of sunglasses since I saw them in Hawaii in March and was unable to find them. I came into this location on my vacation and Caleb did some searching and offered his assistance but they didn't didn't have them. The next day I checked back in and Chelsea gave me the greatest news, they just came in the shipment! As Chelsea was helping me, Caleb came to talk to me and remembered me. I came in looking for Ray Bans optical glasses, but unfortunately this location didn't sell any. Since I was already there I began looking at some of the Ray Ban Sunglasses. I was trying multiple sunglasses then I was stuck on two, the oversized Clubmaster and the original Clubmaster. Suha then approached me and asked me if I needed any help. I told her I was stuck between two sunglasses so I tried them on in front of her and she told me which ones looked better on me. So I went with the Original Clubmaster sunglasses. Suha told me that the entire store was 20% off. I had already been thinking of purchasing some new ray ban sunglasses so with the store being 20% off I was convinced I should purchase them now. I am very satisfied with my purchase and my new sunglasses with the 20% off discount I was able to save $30.60 and my grand total for my new sunglasses was $131.88. I bought a pair of sunglasses ($168.00) and he asked my for ID which I've never experienced before when purchasing sunglasses. He showed it the manager then proceeded with the transaction. I was paying cash so I couldn't understand why they made a production out of it. Store was somewhat busy but in general most staff was just standing around talking amongst themselves. I bought an expensive pair of Ray-Ban Sunglasses ($220) and less than 3 weeks later one of the lenses popped out of the frames! When I tried to return them to the original store where I purchased them in the Irvine Spectrum, it was closed (with ZERO INFORMATION)!! When I took them to another store in the South Coast Plaza (they were only able to "fix" them by popping the lens back in the frames) and THEY told me the original store gave me the WRONG CASE for them and that's why they were bent and THAT is why the lens fell out!! Which is NOT my fault!! So THAT SUCKS!! If I chose to return them, I would only get HALF of the money that I paid for them!! That also SUCKS!! I wont EVER purchase sunglasses from SunGlass Hut again!! They don't stand behind their merchandise!! read more

A costly and upsetting mistake. Their customer service and "return policy" is absolutely predatory. This was my first and last experience at a Sunglass Hut and I urge you to stay away! When I first walked into the store Chelsea approached me and asked if I needed assistance. A pair of Pradas had caught my eye and I asked to try them. I liked the frames but we both realized that the frames were too small. She offered to provide an "adjustment" which seemed to resolve the issue. I decided to purchase them after asking what their return policy was and she said that "[I] have 12 months after purchase to return the product to any Sunglass Hut as long as I have proof of purchase". I figured that if I had any issues I could return them. On the first day of use I noticed that my $409 glasses were absolutely terrible for driving. While Prada is obviously a fashion line and not a sports brand, I assumed that the polarized lenses would prevent the rainbow shimmer that was prevalent in cheaper glasses. I decided to try them on for another day to see if I had any issues. On the second day, a co-worker of mine commented that my frames were bent! This was really upsetting as I had made sure to store them properly. I can only speculate that the bend in my frames had come from the "adjustment" that Chelsea provided. Figuring that these glasses were not for me I attempted to return them only to be told that I cannot return my glasses as they are "not in their original condition". Completely understandable. I speak to the "manager", explain the situation and request for an exchange. "You can only exchange for 50% of the value you purchased the glasses for"......... What is this crock of shit return and refund policy? I spent $409 and I can only "recuperate" $205 with another piece of your sub-par product line? This was an absolute slap to the face. Not only was I completely denied the opportunity to get a full exchange on a pair of defective frames, I was LIED to about the return policy. Yes, it was a small omission of the return policy, but it was effective in making me believe that I had peace of mind in my purchase. Bottom-line. If you completely disregarded my warnings and are going to purchase here make sure you ABSOLUTELY love the sunglasses you decide to go with and DO NOT let the sales representatives touch the glasses, especially when they want to "adjust" them! Request to see a pair of brand new frames that you want to buy (I was stupid and didn't think twice when I was sold the floor model. Make sure that you check a BRAND NEW pair of shades to see if they are "defect" free) and definitely try them outside before you buy them to test for quality! read more

I am notorious for breaking/losing/mutilating my eyewear, so I just can't justify spending $250 on a pair of sunglasses. At the same time, those $5 jobbies often fall apart when you breathe on them. I got my latest pair of sunglasses here at the cart at Downtown Disney. So far, so good. I have never been a fan of myself in sunglasses. I would rather not wear them then sport ones that make me look like a bug, which I often think 8-/ Three years ago I stumbled into this store with low expectations. I began to search through their wide variety of brands and styles. My expectations began to increase when I met the employee on duty. He was very fun and helpful. After getting a feel for what I was looking for, he searched the entire store for me. I spent about 45 minutes with him trying different shades until I found a pair of brown Coach glasses that I fell madly in love with. I was unsure as always. He assured me that he would hold them for a couple days to make sure I was positive before my purchase. Of course like all designer glasses they were pricey, about $300. After I left, I googled the exact pair and searched all over the internet. No where had them for cheaper. I went back a couple hours later and he had them wrapped up and ready for me. Three years later I am still sporting my Brown Coach glasses and love them more than anything. They have yet to scratch or lose a screw. I went into this sunglass hut because my sunglasses were extremely loose and flimsy (I have a pair of the folding Ray-Bans that are about 4 years old). Caleb was really great. Came here last night to help my friend pick a pair of sunglasses for her upcoming trip to WDW. The salesman was really helpful. He was very patient and helped my friend try on many different styles. Once she picked a style she liked, he looked for the same style in different brands. She ended up liking 2 different glasses, and he didn't push her to hurry in making her decision. Once she made her decision, he got a brand new pair from the back and took his time to adjust the nose pieces until it fit her perfectly. What great customer service! They don't know their own return and warranty polity. It's even in a plastic holder on their desk. Nobody took the time to read it. I buy very expensive Maui Jims from SGH all the time. Sometimes I lose them, sometimes they break or fall apart and they've always replaced them or charged 50% replacement which is their policy. Always has been. Says so ..on their own desk at check out. But Marina the manager said everyone else has been doing it wrong. So 5 times...they were doing it wrong but she knows...she knows differently than whats written on their own desk at check out. They tell me I have to go through Maui Jim. There is no disclosure on their warranty and replacement card. No Maui Jim exclusion. She was very rude and went to the back to not deal with me...I can only guess because I knew the policy better than the so called manager. I own a retail business and if she worked for me today would have been her last day. So in the end I had to pay $248 for glasses I had had for a few months that literally fell apart from no misuse. If there was any other place to get them from I would have but I was at Disney with the sun blaring. Here is the best part...after I pointed out that the policy was in fact what I said it was...the girl had to agree...brought it back to Marina and she still wouldn't honor it just to prove a point. Its my first time here in downtown disney, and my husband Forgot to bring sunglasses. So we went to sunglass icon(outside store), and we bought this polarized Rayban. Then we went back to our hotel to rest. Then he looked and tried it on again and then change his mind. We decided to go back and exchange for a different item. I don't know what happened but i accidentally lost the receipt. We used our card so we are thinking they can just electronically checked it for the record. So we went to the big store of sunglass icon in disney downtown, we told them the story that we lost the receipt and maybe they can just check it. While me and my husband are looking for a different model my sister heard the manager of the store telling the security guard and to the sales lady to watch us closely, and he probably thinks that we are just scamming or something. So just because i am asian/Filipino he thinks that we cannot pay or we will scam them. So to the manager of the sunglass icon(the big store) i hope that you are not racial profiling right away because my husband is a veteran( Marine Corp officer) and i am a Registered Nurse. We are in the service business. So i am giving the store SUNGLASS ICON (the store) 1 star for acting very unprofessional.
