At first, I thought maybe I had simply encountered a bad employee or an unfortunate situation. After my experience this weekend, I genuinely believe the bigger issue is that Ray-Ban has completely abandoned this location when it comes to proper training, support, and management. The two employees working there honestly looked like they had been left on a sinking ship with no one coming to help. They seemed overwhelmed and, more importantly, they clearly weren't equipped or properly trained to handle what should have been a basic transaction. How can you expect employees to provide good customer service when they aren't even given the tools or training to properly do their jobs? What makes this even more disappointing is that I don't necessarily blame the employees themselves. It felt like they were put in a position to fail. The responsibility falls on Ray-Ban and whoever is managing this location. I came in fully prepared to give Ray-Ban my money, but the experience was so frustrating that it genuinely made me question whether I even wanted to purchase from the brand anymore. Ray-Ban is a well established, recognizable company. You've built the name and the reputation, but that shouldn't mean you can stop caring about the people walking into your stores. I found the doctors to be unprofessional, lacking integrity, and showing little respect for their patients. They wasted my time with what seemed like unnecessary tests instead of addressing my actual concerns. I also questioned the accuracy of my eye exam because the prescription they gave me did not match my vision needs. What was even more frustrating was that my prescription listed a contact lens brand they don't even sell. When I asked if they could order it, they told me they couldn't. Then they said that if I wanted to purchase a different brand that they do sell, I would have to undergo another eye exam and get a new prescription. The entire process felt unreasonable and like a waste of both my time and money. I have completely lost confidence in their professionalism and would not recommend this place to anyone. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years at the Lens Crafter store on Goldenwest in Westminster. Since I have moved to Irvine 4 years ago, I still go there for eye check up and buy glasses. I was unhappy with the customer service in that store so I want to try out the irvine store. I told the clerk that my glasses were loose and kept sliding down my nose. She knew right away how to fix it. She took her time adjusting the nose pads so they won't press hard and leave marks on my ridge. I'm Asian so there aren't any ridge that would support the glasses but now they sat on just fine! I have already scheduled an appointment in January for my eye check. See you soon!

If they had communicated sooner, I could have used my time better, especially since I was sitting there with a toddler growing impatient. Then when I came back to pick up my glasses, they were made with the wrong lens color. Now I'm being told it will be another two weeks to fix them. That's yet another trip and more delay. The optometrist himself is great, but everything else--from scheduling to communication to quality control--has been very unprofessional and frustrating.
