Located by the Palladium in Carmel, this place is in a nice brick building that has a private parking lot out front. I walked in, had to fill out paperwork and then was called back for my appointment. They did all of the normal tests and the girl who was getting basic info from me before the doctor came in was incredibly friendly and easygoing. The doctor was very personable and helpful as well, and even showed me the photos of my eyes and described every little part of them and what to look for. He also went beyond prescribing a prescription and gave me intelligent information on new 'anti fatigue' glasses that are supposed to help the eye strain most people are now experiencing after looking at computers all day and let me know my Lasik options. Tip: He said that Indy has one of the best Lasik surgeons in the entire country, so be sure to go to him if you get it done and not some place that is cheap (he said each eye should be about $2000 and if it's less than that, you should be concerned). Good to know! The icing on the cake was the woman who checked me out and ran through my insurance afterwards. Not only was she able to tell me exactly what my insurance covers in terms of contacts/glasses, but she also had my year-long contact order in stock and brought them out to me in a cute bag. So happy I don't have to make a trip back! Also, with the $200 rebate they came with, I'll be getting contacts for the cheapest I've ever gotten them which is awesome.

Everyone was extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable, and there were a lot of tests conducted and I never felt like they were trying to push me to buy anything extra or get something I didn't need. They gave me a free sample of eye drops and also in the eye exam found an issue with my eye that I've never even been aware of and recommended how to treat it so I'm really happy. The doctor was very knowledgeable, friendly and answered all of my questions and didn't make me feel like he was rushing through anything. I highly recommend!

I had a very disappointing experience at this Sunglass Hut location. I purchased a pair of…read moresunglasses about three weeks ago, and both lenses have developed cracks around the screws in exactly the same places. This appears to be a manufacturing defect, not damage from misuse. When I brought them in, the associate was rude from the start. Rather than inspecting the glasses or discussing the issue, he immediately insisted that I must have sat on them. It felt like he had already decided I was at fault before even looking into the situation, which came across as calling me a liar. From what I understand, Sunglass Hut's policy is to replace products with manufacturing defects. I wasn't asking for special treatment--I simply wanted the glasses to be evaluated fairly under that policy. Instead, I left with the impression that the associate just didn't want to do his job or make any effort to help resolve the issue. I understand that not every damaged pair is covered under warranty, but customer service should start by listening to the customer rather than making assumptions. After owning these sunglasses for only three weeks, I expected a much more professional experience. Based on how I was treated, I would not recommend this location. There are plenty of other Sunglass Hut stores, and I hope you'll have a better experience at one of those.

They have Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Company, Nordstrom and they have a very nice Nike store. It's a very small mall, but it is worth a while and you get the things you need. I really like the customer service as well and plus they have a nice landmark movie theater inside and a lot of restaurants. Just FYI, the Saks Fifth Avenue store is closed but they have enough stores there if you want some nice designer stuff . They also have the cheesecake factory there, and other good eateries that you can choose from in a very nice food court as well.

The sales manager, Alex, greeted me and walked me through how the store operates and the glasses are organized. I found it very easy to navigate - eyeglasses on the left, sunglasses on the right, broken down by size/shape. Glasses are gender neutral and not organized by men's/women's. I appreciated that staff was there for questions and suggestions but let me try on and shop at my leisure. When I found the eyeglasses and sunglasses I loved, Alex handled the easy checkout. I had my prescription on hand but they will happily call your eye doctor for you. Eyeglasses are $95 for frames + single vision prescription lenses, and sunglasses are $175 for the same. AND it's free shipping to your house - no in-store pickup necessary (though they can adjust your frames if needed). AND for every pair purchased, they donate a pair to someone in need. It's the perfect size mall, not to big that I lose interest and not to small. The shop is tidy and the staff friendly, even funny and always welcoming. They were adding Christmas decor during my visit. The selection is mostly vintage glass and smaller items. There is a little vintage and antique furniture. Prices range from reasonable to absurd. I didn't buy anything yesterday, but enjoyed browsing. I check in regularly as the merchandise changes.
