Hunter was exceptionally accommodating and got me from the waiting room to the doctor's office in no time. Dr. McClain is a no frills, straight to the point guy -- incredibly thoughtful, too. The phone staff is awesome, especially Addison. Thank god there is no automated system...this is where Urban Optics goes above and beyond. The contact fitting went super well (once again thanks to Hunter) and I'm loving the dailies Dr. McClain picked out. There are no hidden costs here -- everything is upfront and clear. I never felt as if I was being price gouged. I even got a $3,000 eye drop prescription for $0 (thanks to the doc and my insurance). I'm happy to call this place my favorite optometry practice! Then I was ushered into the pre exam room by a very capable young man, Hunter, who administered all of the pre-examination screenings. Very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable young lad! After which I was taken to Dr. Greene's examination suite. Dr. Greene performed an absolutely thorough testing of all aspects of my visual capabilities after which he gave my results in a very professional manner. They had a $45 transfer fee, but that was affordable. My case and gun came in in perfect condition. Staff are helpful and friendly. Shop is filled with firearms and accessories with affordable prices. I'd like to see package deals such as multiple mags and a bag for an affordable, but they don't. Staff stated that they do have a firearm with attachments, but nothing like a package deal during a holiday. Ample parking.

I got 15 months on a $700 pair of the top line lenses, they would not stand behind after 12 months. Substandard products and service in my expensive opinion. Not returning for any reason for a second lesson from this group and letting folks know as well so they will not experience the same disappointment as I did should they need service assistance. They immediately stretched out again and would continue to fall off. They said nothing more can be done to help me make them tighter. Also glasses cost $496 and lenses are already scratched after about 2 months. They claim they are scratch resistant but they are not. They could do nothing more and didn't offer any suggestions. Insurance did pay for most of the glasses and I paid out of pocket some, but for $500 I would expect more. I do not recommend them and will never buy another pair of glasses from them again. Low quality for the price. I'm just as well off buying Dollar Store glasses.

They had some temp optometrists for a couple of years (when I went) that I contemplated going back to Scott and White. Then Dr. Lamb came and the entire place turned into a gem. She is upbeat and positive and most of all listens to her patients. She's patient and let me come back and tweak my contact lens's prescription which other doctors don't like to do as I need both far and near vision correction with a touch of astigmatism. I've also noticed a change in staff attitude, too. They are all now friendly and super helpful. Hannah in particular is a super associate - she is always very knowledgeable and helpful but today she saved my day when I got red eye and needed some problem solving before my international trip tomorrow. My husband got his glasses with them too and had similar great experience.

8.29.24 Picking up my new glasses…read more I came in and picked up my 3 new pairs of glasses. 2 prescription sunglasses - 1 Rayban and the other DKNY and some regular glasses I use for night driving. I am one of those people who actually uses the glass cases and the cleaning cloth. The Rayban pair came with a nice case but the DKNY pair did not. I was a little disappointed in that. They said they do not even send them any. That's lame. All in all, good service. So far I am very happy with all my glasses. I would recommend them.
