This is for the manager of the store please teach your staff to be a little patient and friendly. I came third time to return a pair of Meta sunglasses. I understand that the store can experience technical issues, but I kindly ask that you instruct your staff to be patient, just as we are with them. It is not our fault that your system is down, especially since this issue only affects online returns. During my third attempt to return an item, I asked Alexis, who was trying to assist me, to please open a ticket to get the problem fixed. Instead, she seemed upset and told me that it wasn't her fault because it was an online order and that I should call customer support to process the return. Unprofessional, rude, and lazy! Was here around 1:30pm on Sunday, December 16. There were 3 team members, Ariel (cashier that rang us up), another female (maybe Latina), and a male sales rep. Before ringing us up, Ariel was trying to find a new pair for my husband and she was standing at the closet holding the pair over her head asking us "is this the one?" My husband asked, "could you bring it over?" - she needs to be re-trained in this customer service industry. In addition, there were 2 people in the shop when my husband and I came in already. I heard the female (Latina) cashier made a rude comment to the female customer while ringing her up about her age, saying that she thought she was older than 17 years old. Oakley "Asian" fit? Really, no sh*t! They don't have them in stock, however, Mariah, the sales associate, explained how they fit, the sunglasses that have the asian option, and that if I buy online and don't like them, just return it to the store. I'd like to give a 5 star review on this location. I was in need of some assistance returning some Versace frames. The Store manager Rachel was able to help me, she has very extensive of all products and suggested some Gucci frames. She did not have a particular pair in store but instantly was able to set up for it to be delivered to my home in 2 days! I bought a pair of beautiful Coach glasses from Sunglasses Hut but they were way too heavy and starting hurting after wearing them for 20 min. So the next day I returned them. A beautiful guy was working here (I forgot to ask for his name) who asked me to try them on. He said they didn't fit my face and that's probably why they hurt. And that the frame was too heavy. (I thought it was light compared with the others.) He recommended the Maui Jim Baby Beach ones. They are super duper light and cute. I just didn't want to drop 300 bucks that day so I'll be back for them. read more

I ordered a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses $400.00 ish - I tried to return at the store but some reason the store was having trouble returning online purchases so I had to send back to original source. Warehouse received back March 31. Today is April 28th... do you know I still have not received my money back. I've had to call almost once or twice a week- keep getting the same story... so beware credits take 20 days or more to credit back. This should be against the law!!!!! read more

Unless you live in the trendy new apartments above Bay Street, you'll need to park in the back in the underground garage- try to take the Christie entrance NOT THE OHLONE ENTRANCE. If you take Ohlone and go during lunch... well I hope you like hanging out in your car for a while, because traffic is always rotten. read more

Went to the store on 5/11/15 to buy a gift certificate for my girlfriend's birthday, I had the worst experience ever. The reason I went to this particular location was because of my experience with Meghan Levy, three years prior to the day!! She spent over an hour and a half helping me select the perfect pair of sunglasses for me. I left confident that it was money well spent and that customer service was top tier. Five-stars no doubt!!! Fast forward three years. I walk into the store, browse around for a few minutes, then approach the register to purchase the gift card. There are two employees there, one female and the other male. The female employee was on the phone customer service assisting people that were already there, but she acknowledged I was there. The male employee not so much. I literally stood there at the register for 2 minutes in silence. Apparently he had some really important text messages to send out, because he couldn't take his eyes away from looking down like his neck was broken and texting on his phone. Now, I'm not a scientist but, of someone is standing in front of you at your place of work, I assume the bare minimum is acknowledgement, I didn't even get that. He just typing away, I hope you get an arthritic thumb. Once the female employee got off the phone, she asked if I could be of any assistance. I told myself not to be rude and just finish what I came to do, it was there for the girl that I love. So I told her I would like to purchase a gift card. She said that she didn't even know where they were at, then all of sudden the male employee speaks!! OMG!!! He's not deaf and blind. I laugh a little to myself... He reaches into a drawer pretty much where he was standing and just drops them on the counter. At that point I was done. I just left. I'll never get those 10 minutes of my life back, let alone I was ready to drop $200, no effort on their part at all, I knew what I wanted!! I went to H&M and was happy with the service there, took me one minute. To whoever that douchebag is get another job. You clearly shouldn't be working in any job that involves human interaction. I'm sure your job pays for your phone, your car, your gas, the clothes you wear to work, your food. Let someone that actually wants to provide a great experience occupy your waste of space. Great location for us east bay / Oakland natives. They have a decent selection of pretty high end fancy eye wear. I'd recommend coming here if you have semi style and some swag and looking to step Ya game up. Yea Bay Street is a great place to visit. Great service at this place, esp. by Meghan. I came in one day to get the nose pads replaced on my Pradas. The two associates told me they were inexperienced in that department and told me to come back to see their manager. I did and Meghan helped me out quickly and was incredibly friendly. I was sort of listening to her train her associate on how to make this repair and she was very thorough. I scoped the rest of the selection they had and though I would hate to lose my Pradas, perhaps a second pair might be convenient to have. The Tiffany &Co's might be a nice option. Can I just say that I've always been a major fan of sunglass hut but today I was in shock about the outstanding customer service I received today. I was crushed when my folding wayfarers were stomped out at the Hardly Strictly music festival. These sunglasses have been daily wears for a long time and I couldn't bare to go a day without them. When I called sunglass hut the next morning I was fully expecting to have to pay to get my sunglasses replaced. The sales person Aliza explained the 1 year warranty and had another pair on hand. I drove over as soon as I hung up the phone and she had them waiting for me. I was in and out in less that 5 minutes with a brand new pair of folding wayfarers. Admittedly, this is just your everyday Sunglass Hut, so no special selection, etc.. That said, their customer service is off the charts great. I made the plunge a while back and bought a nice pair of Ray-Bans, which the saleswoman took a good amount of time ensuring fit properly and looked nice. No upselling, no pushing me to hurry, just great service. Then, of course, they fell off my head while I was hiking and then lens cracked. I took it back, b/c they have a policy where you can exchange busted glasses for 50% of the price and get a brand new pair. And the manager, when I offered to pay the price, said, "this shouldnt have happened, this is not your fault." And gave me a brand new pair FOR FREE. So again, I *offered* to pay for the new glasses and they turned me down and gave them to me for free. Now that's great customer service. read more
