I stepped inside without any hi/hello from the saleswoman standing inside just looking at you. She didn't say anything or offered any help or if I'm looking for something in particular. When my friend chose sunglasses to buy, I was asked if I wanted to also get one for 40% off. Only then I voiced out that I need help in finding cat eye styles and if she can help me look for options to choose from. The store wasn't even that big and she could've given me at least couple or few to show she's willing to help, but she just answered that it's almost time for her to go home which denotes she wouldn't be that helpful. The shop lacks good customer service and just probably waiting for people to buy. Because we weren't happy with the service, we ended up not buying anything. No, thanks. The employees were severely unwelcoming and unhelpful at this location. I tried on over 50 pairs of sunglasses to no avail. Their entire selection is jumbled together with no differentiation between sunglasses for men and women. Upon asking an employee where their selection of women's glasses are, the gay dude was eerily offended? It's a little hard to tell which sunglasses are for women when they're all mixed up and I was looking for feminine sunglasses. Most of them were clearly not. When I couldn't find a pair that I liked, he said "well if you can't find anything you like here I doubt you'll find them anywhere else". I felt obliged to leave this review afterwards. Sunglass Hut Review: This is about the Customer Care Team and the SUN LOVE PROTECTION PLAN that I purchased for $40 when I purchased my Oakley Turbine Rotor sunglasses for $234 at the Royal Hawaiian Center Sunglass Hut on 1/31/24 and my experience attempting to use it at the Sunglass Hut located in the International Market Place in Honolulu. This plan offers to replace or repair the product for a co-pay of $40 within13-months. It includes among other damage, "cracked or scratched lens". The retailer did not live up to this offer as detailed in the Plan offering. When I returned my Oakley sunglasses with a scratched lens into the Sunglass Hut at the Honolulu International Market Place for a replacement on 2/27/25 the associate was helpful in finding the exact model as a replacement. I was prepared to pay the $40 copay. However, in addition to this $40.00 copay I was charged an additional $8 and was told the retail price of the glasses had increased and I was responsible to pay that increase. When I objected and responded stating there is no mention in the plan details stating this. The associate said I had to pay the new price. I asked for a manager and was told there was no manager in the store. This was the last pair in stock and I thought it would be easy to address and resolve with the corporate office - this was a mistake. I received an email survey about my experience on 3/5/25 and responded with the negative experience and requested a follow-up. Four emails from their Customer Care Team followed without any follow-up explanation as stated in each reply. 1) 3/7/25 requested additional information via a Customer Care Form, please allow 5 business days to hear back from the store 2) 3/15/25 stated the matter would be forwarded to the store team, please expect response from the store within 5 business days 3) 3/24/25 stated my concern had been escalated to the store team, a member of the store team should be reaching out shortly 4) 4/23/25 stated my ticket is being escalated to the Regional Manager Three months have passed and no one has responded to address my concern and correct the wrongful charge. Back in the last week of January, we were waiting a long time(even though we made an appointment weeks prior) for Doraku to be ready despite our appointment. Kayla was super nice when I was trying on a few Oakleys. I ended up getting a clear polished iridium Turbine Rotor. I have a Holbrook, Double Edge, Turbine and Fuel Cell. The Fuel Cell used to be my go-to, being clear polished purple iridium and so sweet. The new Turbine Rotor just fits nicely and feels comfy while looking epic. I liked that she didn't pressure me or try to up sell. I forgot my card too and she was able to find my account for me on their PC. I don't hit up Waikiki often like I did when I was younger so this purchase was a nice experience bringing back the nostalgia of when we used to hang out at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and International Marketplace. read more

Purchased an expensive pair of Ray Ban "Ferrari" for $254.45. Within a month, the screw which attaches the nose guard to the lens unscrewed & came off leaving the lens dangling. I made sure to know the return policy which is clearly printed on the receipt "EASY RETURNS". It unscrewed on 11/9/18 and I presented it back to the store with the receipt for a refund on 11/11/18. The black woman with the attitude told me she could not accept the return because the item was not resalable?? Of course not, the item is clearly defective if it will unscrew itself within a month. When you pay for a Ferrari & get a banana somebody needs to step it up. Have made contact with Sunglass Hut Corp as well as Ray Ban so we'll see. Might have to take this to the BBB and Consumer Protection. read more
