The Doctor was so sweet, patient and thoroughly examined my little one's eyes. I was impressed with her skills and attention to detail. The office was super clean and modern. Parking was easy and free which is always nice. My daughter left picking up the cutest little Ray bands for her first pair of prescription glasses. Will be ready for pick up in about 10 days, so my girlie will have new clearer vision soon. Staff was also super helpful and courteous during our appointment. Highly recommend checking them out.

My wife and my son came here for their appointments. Dr. Leung was very kind and gave my wife tips on how to take care of her eyes. The receptionist, Ruth was very patient and nice. She explained the insurance deductibles for different selections of the frames and types of lenses that they offered. We were told that the glasses will be ready in about two to three weeks. However, to our surprise that the glasses were ready in one week. We had a pleasant experience with Dr. Leung and Ruth. We really liked how Ruth was upfront with all the deductibles and prices. My wife and son will be coming here for their glasses from now on.

Alas, the love is gone…read more My first pair of Warby Parker glasses were sunglasses, the day after my LASIK surgery in 2019 in Seattle. I loved them. I lost them. They discontinued them. I bought my second pair of Warby Parkers on vacation on Venice Beach in 2021 (featured in my profile pic!). They were called the Sonia, and black. I loved them. I lost them. They discontinued the black ones. WHY? I bought another color of Sonia, but I don't love them. My next were a pair of reading glasses. I have no idea why the frames were recommended to me. They were very unflattering. I donated them. Next, purchased in 2023 in Burlingame, were my favorite glasses of ALL TIME. Aja in Confetti Tortoise. I had Irlen lenses placed in them. My Irlen color is light pink and they looked AMAZING. I lost them two years later (heartbreak!!) AND THEY ARE DISCONTINUED. This is how much people love these glasses - people are selling them on Etsy and Ebay for $500 to 600. Why on earth would they discontinue them? But this next story is the cherry on the cake. I have ADHD which is why I lose glasses so often. That's on me. But this, this story drives me crazy. In 2025 I paid $$$ for an exam and expensive lenses for reading and computer work. The frames were amazing. Dasia in Ristretto Tortoise. But when I came to pick them up the prescription was wrong. They sent them back to fix. AND THEN EMAILED ME TO TELL ME THEY WERE DISCONTINUED. I asked for a refund.

While the salesperson behind the counter was certainly very friendly, I was rather annoyed paying full retail for my "new" Oakley shades only to find out that the case was not included. While initially uncertain, the sales associate called his manager who informed him over the phone that the model I was purchasing did not include a case. Instead, he gave me one of the cheap drawstring bags to store them in. But to make matters worse, he yanked out the microfiber cloth that came with the free bag and stated that the cloth ALSO did not come with the purchase (WTF?!?!). Since the shades were floor models that had tons of fingerprints on them from countless people trying them on prior, I asked if I could have a fresh pair at least. To which I was informed that the ones on display were not floor models, but simply the ones that they sold. And that they didn't have anymore of the model I was purchasing. Yet no more than 30secs after ringing me up, I see the sales guy pull out another identical pair out of the drawer and place it on display. The real icing on the cake was when I went home and went directly to Oakley's website. Turns out, I could have purchased it from them directly for the same price AND it would have came w/ a hardshell case, a cleaning cloth, AND replacement lenses! Fool me once SGH....never again!

I've been here for three visits at this SSF location--their new building since they left next to…read moreKFC , but they're now next to Starbird--(fried chicken is the constant :-). It's not a deal breaker but parking sucks here. They have a dedicated garage but it's a pain in the ass and awkward to get in and out, a cavernous ridiculous poorly designed space. Maybe it's me being clumsy. Either way, I hate it. Been going here specifically for appointments with Dr. Christian Chew. We've been doing IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) by [FDA-approved Lumens OptiLight], which is a contraption of epic proportion and I'm guessing hella expensive, which is why only this office has it. Optica's also in Millbrae, but this machine is not there. I've had 100% excellent experiences here: bright, clean snazzy new digs, surprisingly spacious. Lynette and Jenna are at the front desk and assisting elsewhere--they're super friendly, warm, attentive, sweet, and super helpful. By the time I went in for my IPL consult, I'd already had: meibomian gland expression, punctal plugs, hydrating sleep mask, moist heated pads, prescription eye drops Miebo and Cequa + a host of other drops and gels. My bathroom counter looks like a damn pharmacy. My LAL cataract surgery put me over the edge with my dry eye, to the point I could no longer manage with my plethora of eye drops. Ask me if all this worked? NOT! Using eye drops a dozen times daily, I was freaking out--my stupid dry eye was seriously interfering with my daily functioning, e.g. my clients were asking me why my eyes were watering and/or if I was crying! Not a good look for a psychotherapist lol :-) I tried to get IPL a few years ago but was told that because I have olive skin, tan easily and never burn, I wasn't a good candidate (they didn't want to risk scarring or whatever). But here we are today, and years later, Dr. Chew has reached a level of experience with the OptiLight, such that he's finessed with technique. Operating it is not merely technical, it's a practiced art. I initially went in for an impromptu same day consult (thanks to Dr. Florendo who expedited it). I went in for a consult and was not supposed to get the treatment on that visit, but I was desperate and determined: I begged, coaxed, cajoled ... groveled, e.g. entreating "please, pleeez," for Dr. Chew to give me a tx. same day (I didn't want to go home without an intervention) ... he must've taken pity, because drum roll ... he did! He assessed no contraindications and was confident enough to know I was a decent candidate and likely would not have untoward side-effects from the treatment ... yesss! I've never looked back because my success is unmatched! I know this is hyperbole, all cases are different/unique, blah blah and I'm melodramatic but I'm so stoked about how much easier it is to get through the day, e.g. now I put only 4 or 5 different drops 2 to 3x daily and I barely tear up. WTH? I call this dumbfounding serious success! Dr. Chew is an absolute rock star, his facility and expertise with that beast of a machine on display every single time we do a treatment. My triumph is that this IPL works! Hallelujah! Did I mention I was initially apprehensive? Not sure who the doctor was, whether we'd have a seamless interaction (I can be a prickly, picky patient) ... I need not have worried because Dr. Chew is fire. I so appreciate him, for not only his expertise and knowledge, but for his demeanor: he's chill and relaxed, conversational, personable and approachable with a sense of humility. I can work with his down to earth and unprepossessing style. I cannot work with doctors who are old school officious or pompous with airs. I got no time for ego--eff it--I'm too old for that, I'm done. You know those doctors who think they know your body and symptoms better than you? That's the opposite of Dr. Chew, who's open enough to actively listens and doesn't assume. The total cost (it's out of pocket cuz greedy ass insurance demons don't cover it) of the four IPL txs. is very reasonable. After the initial four txs., every so often, depending on recurrence of symptoms, there's a tune up. Sign me up. Whatever it takes. Thank-god for this technology. It's worth every single penny!

Been going here for years. Quality care, great customer service, clean facility. Highly recommend.read more
