DO NOT go here. The optometrist gave the wrong prescription, and is super defensive about the wrong results. I had to go a different optometrist and the new prescription fits immediately. They accept Medi-cal and Medicaid, plus other insurance. If you make an appointment, do provide said info. Contacts exam isn't covered by Medicare and Medi-cal, btw. When I broke my glasses, they didn't charge me extra to get them replaced. read more

I never see the same person twice at the front desk. That is usually a sign that employees are either underpaid and/or verbally abused. I have moved on to a different optometrist. My new optometrist exam is lower in price, the frames with lenses are about 30% to 40% cheaper, and since I've gone to the new optometrist twice, the same receptionist is still there. I was trying to get an appointment with them for the next day, they sent me a form to fill out, which I sent it back right away. At the day of the appointment I called them 30 min before to confirm everything was ok. They told me they couldn't find my insurance information, which I promptly sent it to them. I was able to visit Dr. Connie for my annual visit. Her staff greeted me promptly and took great measure for our safety during COVID19. I felt safe and most importantly i was taken cared of. She checked me eyes after my last visit and I'm happy to say me eyes have improved since my last visit. I ordered a new set of glasses (just cuz why not?) and her staff was able to help me with pricing. They even helped me choose the proper ones that suit my needs. The visit went exactly as planned. Dr Ha and her staff give you as much time as you need to answer any vision questions, select frames, etc. That doesn't mean they run behind or ignore you when they are helping another client, though. They're just attentive and efficient, and nice all at the same time. Dr Ha herself spends just the right amount of time tweaking my prescription, addressing my pesky astigmatism, and troubleshooting how the right type of lenses can make me most productive. I suppose the only teeny inconvenience is that the office is closed on Wednesdays (albeit open some Saturdays) - but the fact that they take a weekday for family or other life needs is honestly reasonable and admirable! They more than make up for it with their self-serve website for making appointments, making payments, etc. Highly recommend!! read more

Dr. Ha was great but I would not recommend you buy any glasses here. I've worn glasses for over 30 years and these are the worst fitting pair I've had. I'm sitting here crying because every time I look down they fall right off my face and I don't have money to buy another pair they keep saying we'll make adjustments but I can tell the lens is going to pop right out of the frames. Doctor Connie was very pleasant and caring. I took my daughter in to see her as a follow up visit from the emergency room. My daughter was sprayed in the eye with some nasty chemical at school. Doctor Connie was very down to earth, professional and informative. She gives a thorough exam and it was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep in the chair. The receptionist was very pleasant as well. We didn't wait long to be seen and we didn't feel rushed during the appointment. You can tell that she really cares for her patients and she takes time to educate you about what's going on. This is my first time visiting this office. The service I received was excellent. Their office is clean and well maintained. They booked me with an appointment on a Saturday which is really convenient for me, and there are plenty of free parking. The people at the front desk registration is friendly and polite. Casey helped with the forms, Cigna Vision questions, and picking out the right eyeglass frames and the variety of lens options to add on. Connie, the Optometrist is very kind, professional, and gave knowledgeable recommendations. I purchased two eyeglasses and will be ordering a prescription sunglasses soon. I've had horrible vision for a majority of my life. Seeing past my nose without glasses or contacts has been challenging since I can remember. And for someone who needs to see and optometrist pretty regularly, I've always looked for a doctor based on recommendations. Finding Dr. Ha was a very lucky coincidence. A friend of mine recommended a different optometrist in the area, but completely forgot the name of the practice and the name of the doctor, and could only give me a general location of the practice. So I checked the VSP website, zoomed in on the approximate location my friend's recommendation, and Dr. Ha's information popped up. Because I have VSP, they took me in as a new patient. I'm not sure if they would have otherwise, as it seems like she's pretty busy. The process was very painless, and I was able to schedule an appointment based on my odd work schedule. Dr. Ha is very patient, honest, and understanding. I have odd things going on with my contacts that other optometrists were quick to dismiss. She asked the right questions, answered all of my questions and concerns thoroughly, and made great recommendations. I had to go in a few times for follow up appointments because she wanted to make sure that the contacts I would commit to were the right kind, and that I was completely happy and comfortable with them. It took about a month for me to settle into the right contacts, and the right solutions that were the most comfortable. I've always had issues with my contacts, and she was able to troubleshoot with me and figure out solutions to make them comfortable. I have never had an optometrist take this much time with me. Dr. Ha was extremely professional and answered all my questions in regards to my complaint about my red/dry eyes. She gave me a few sample of the latest dry re-wetting drops to try out. They worked great and dryeye conditions have improved since visiting SBECC. It was pleasantly surprises, Dr. Ha spent the full hour appointment making sure my prescription was right. After my exam, I decided to take a look at their frame selection. I was surprise to find that they carried an extensive selection of the latest styles. The staff is friendly and helfpul. I've been going to San Bruno Eye Care Center for over 30 years. Doctor Connie Ha became my doctor when she took over the practice from my child hood Optometrist Shirley. I was sad to see Shirley leave but she left me in good hands with Connie. I have strabismus and Dr. Ha has always listened to my needs and concerns about strabismus. She has worked with me over the years to make sure my prescription was just right and she recommended adjustments to the prescription as I got older and my eyes started showing signs of aging. I used to work close by so I was always able to get a convenient appointment. But now I live and work in Concord and still come over to see Connie for my yearly exam. The front desk girl needs to attend a training course because she seems so uneducated and speaks very unprofessionally. Office is outdated and the toys laying around everywhere are dirty. This review is long overdue as this happened in the beginning of 2018, but I decided to post anyway. After years of wearing glasses, I finally decided to switch to contacts. I decided on the Acuvue brand lenses, which I was told by Cathy, who works at the desk, that I would be given a $200 rebate. After submitting it online, the page said I would be awarded a $100 rebate. Cathy did provide a slip that listed instructions as well as the various rebates but we assumed we would be given a $200 rebate so we just skimmed over it. Yes, we should have double checked. I texted Cathy about this and tried to come to a compromise but she said that we would have to pay for the fitting charges even though it was their negligence that resulted in wrong information. Anyway, I declined doing so because I didn't want to get charged more so I contacted Cathy again about the $100 shortage. She basically said that she couldn't give us any refunds and that there was nothing that could be done about it since I opened two boxes and submitted the rebate. I understand that there are occasional instances of shortsightedness but if you are looking for honest, reliable and effective customer service who honor what is promised, don't come here. I received excellent service - Lost my spectacles in a ski trip, got an appointment on a Saturday. Super friendly and helpful staff. I happened to need an appointment in the afternoon which I figured would take a few weeks to book but they were able to get me in the next day. Really quick process overall, my eyes are pretty easy to deal with but in the past I've had doctors try to insist I switch up my routine just for fun because they want to push a product so it was a nice change not to have Dr. Ha try to convince me to switch brands. The building itself comes up quick and parking is a little tough at times so give yourself an extra minute or two if you're driving. One star removed because I hate, hate, hate sales pitches and when paying I got the "buy a ton of contacts with us today" spiel three times despite stating I would have to call when I got paid. It's nothing personal to these people - I just don't think that has a place in medical care and I'm not going to buy something with someone just because they're telling me they are cheaper in the same breath as saying they cost the same everywhere. I likely will buy from their office anyway, just not gonna be pushed into it. This did leave me feeling pretty awkward after an otherwise pleasant experience. read more

I am writing this review ONLY due to the front desk girl. She states that she is a office manager. My daughter tried to call to make a appointment and this girl hung up on her. Second, she was talking over her. Third, they had the wrong insurance information and my daugher was trying to tell her and she said there is nothing she can tell her or do for her. Fourth, she would not let her speak with the Dr Connie at all. This girl told my daughter she will kick her off Dr Connie list and make it to where she will not be able to be seen by here at all. Who does she think she is, we have been going to Dr Connie for years and just because this NEW girl comes in with her stinky attitude she thinks she can Banned long time patients due to her RUDE attitude.
