Never had heard of this place, but it's basically across the street from my favorite bar The Roost. Found this place on yelp, and it turned out, it was less than a block from my hotel on Duvall, La Concha, autograph by Marriott. The place is very small and very packed, so I would advise to get there either early or filter to run for a later brunch. The space is pretty small, but it is really cute and the baked goods are insane and gone by 10 on a Friday. Fresh baked bread fresh pastries looked unbelievably good. They have a large selection of fresh maid smoothies, and juices made while you wait which is perfect for after a night of drinking! I saw some pictures on Yelp of the eggs Benedict and they have a full page devoted to different types of eggs Benedict. I decided on this smoked salmon eggs Benedict and it was probably the best I've ever eaten in my life in any country. It was literally that outstanding!! The food comes out relatively fast although they're insanely busy and it's efficient.. It's not a place you lounge around with a lot of people - eat and get out, because there is a line waiting to be seated no matter what day what time. These servers really hustle too. This place is also known for its coffee which they have a lot of different varieties iced and hot and it's absolutely top-notch, pair that with some fresh baked goods and you've got yourself one hell of a start to your day. I've always loved Evelyn's for breakfast or Sarabeth's, but this place blew it away in my opinion and I've been coming here for 15 years for work. The Lobster Benedict was wonderful and flavorful with the eggs poached perfectly. The Kokette eggs were very overcooked. In retrospect I should have asked them to be redone. Everything was so firm that I couldn't dip or spread anything onto the toast. We waited a pretty long time so maybe I was just too hungry to send these back! Green juice and orange juice were nice. We were originally say at a very very small "shelf" that would be fine for coffee but not for a meal. We moved to a table and that was much better. read more

From the moment I walked in at 7am I was greeted and faced with an amazing assortment of pastries. Ordered an espresso which was excellent flavor. Had a Blackberry pastry to start with my espresso...so fricken fresh and tasty. Ordered the Lobster Benedict was shocked at how beautiful and how much was on my plate. It was as good as it looked. My favorite meal I've had in a very long time. Owner was great! I loved the cozy space. I would eat there everyday if I could. Sunny Eggs was an absolute 5/5 experience for me. I woke up earlier than the rest of my travel group and decided to take a walk around town. Never having visited before, I was unsure what I would find-- and there was Sunny Eggs! I'm not a huge breakfast person, but this place was honestly too cute to pass up. I sat by myself in the back corner against a gorgeous brick wall, and had a great time people watching. I ordered a classic breakfast, with eggs, toast, fruit, and bacon. The bacon was cooked absolutely perfectly, and the eggs were amazing too. I'm normally not an egg person at all, but I ate the entire thing up. Throughout that day, I could not stop telling my friends how amazing my breakfast was every time we would walk by! We need a bite to eat for breakfast and stumbled upon this place. What a beautiful cozy restaurant. I never dreamed we'd be able to get in as quick as we did. I think we may have waited 10 minutes. The staff was super friendly very helpful on choosing what we would want to eat they had a delicious selection of pastries that they made in House. This place is cozy, but packs a punch when it comes to food and service. Such a cute little place we didn't think we'd even be able to get it....but less than 10 minutes later we were seated. Sunny Eggs is a fabulous place for breakfast in Key West. From it's homemade baked goods to cappuccinos to eclectic offerings, this place was a true delight as my first meal in Key West. It has an European vibe with outdoor seating, bar seating along the walls, and generally tight quarters, meaning there will always be someone near you. We loved this cozy feeling. The food was simply outstanding. I have never had a Kokotte before and now that is all I want to eat : ). The serving size was great for both my Kokotte and my wife's country egg breakfast. All serving with toasted homemade bread. My wife also got an almondine croissant and a cafe Americano. This meal was so good that we struggled to think about eating anytime later because we wanted to savor in the experience for as long as possible. Our waiter was very nice. I think 2 waiters covered inside and outside so they were very busy, but we never felt rushed and never felt overlooked. Sunny Eggs is a popular place so if you want to get a table with no wait time, I'd recommend you go earlier in the morning before the island party goers wake up hungry from the night before.
