Never had heard of this place, but it's basically across the street from my favorite bar The Roost. Found this place on yelp, and it turned out, it was less than a block from my hotel on Duvall, La Concha, autograph by Marriott. The place is very small and very packed, so I would advise to get there either early or filter to run for a later brunch. The space is pretty small, but it is really cute and the baked goods are insane and gone by 10 on a Friday. Fresh baked bread fresh pastries looked unbelievably good. They have a large selection of fresh maid smoothies, and juices made while you wait which is perfect for after a night of drinking! I saw some pictures on Yelp of the eggs Benedict and they have a full page devoted to different types of eggs Benedict. I decided on this smoked salmon eggs Benedict and it was probably the best I've ever eaten in my life in any country. It was literally that outstanding!! The food comes out relatively fast although they're insanely busy and it's efficient.. It's not a place you lounge around with a lot of people - eat and get out, because there is a line waiting to be seated no matter what day what time. These servers really hustle too. This place is also known for its coffee which they have a lot of different varieties iced and hot and it's absolutely top-notch, pair that with some fresh baked goods and you've got yourself one hell of a start to your day. I've always loved Evelyn's for breakfast or Sarabeth's, but this place blew it away in my opinion and I've been coming here for 15 years for work. The Lobster Benedict was wonderful and flavorful with the eggs poached perfectly. The Kokette eggs were very overcooked. In retrospect I should have asked them to be redone. Everything was so firm that I couldn't dip or spread anything onto the toast. We waited a pretty long time so maybe I was just too hungry to send these back! Green juice and orange juice were nice. We were originally say at a very very small "shelf" that would be fine for coffee but not for a meal. We moved to a table and that was much better. read more

We need a bite to eat for breakfast and stumbled upon this place. What a beautiful cozy restaurant. I never dreamed we'd be able to get in as quick as we did. I think we may have waited 10 minutes. The staff was super friendly very helpful on choosing what we would want to eat they had a delicious selection of pastries that they made in House. However, the BELL OF THE BALL is the savory breakfast foods! The eggs are organic.. and cooked to order in a cute little skillet. The potatoes are roasted in olive oil and seasoned to perfection. I do not know where to begin with the experience we've had at this beautiful little bakery, two days in a row on our vacation. From the pastries, to the egg dishes to the pulled chicken. The croissants are very good, but contrary to what prior reviews say... THEY DO NOT HAVE WAFFLES!! And I clearly asked each day. Day one the server stated they ran out of mix. Day two the woman looked at me oddly when I asked if they had the waffle mix yet- she CLEARLY stated that you DO NOT have waffles. If you do, please let me know what day it's on special and I'll gladly come in to try it! Also look at the photo of the cup below... wasn't clean and later they had the audacity to say my review was inaccurate and inappropriate. Either you have waffles or you don't! Sunny Eggs is a fabulous place for breakfast in Key West. From it's homemade baked goods to cappuccinos to eclectic offerings, this place was a true delight as my first meal in Key West. It has an European vibe with outdoor seating, bar seating along the walls, and generally tight quarters, meaning there will always be someone near you. We loved this cozy feeling. The food was simply outstanding. I have never had a Kokotte before and now that is all I want to eat : ). The serving size was great for both my Kokotte and my wife's country egg breakfast. All serving with toasted homemade bread. My wife also got an almondine croissant and a cafe Americano. This meal was so good that we struggled to think about eating anytime later because we wanted to savor in the experience for as long as possible. Our waiter was very nice. I think 2 waiters covered inside and outside so they were very busy, but we never felt rushed and never felt overlooked. Sunny Eggs is a popular place so if you want to get a table with no wait time, I'd recommend you go earlier in the morning before the island party goers wake up hungry from the night before.
