Clean, friendly, and delicious. The meat isn't burnt like some other teriyaki joints, and the flavor is just right. The fried food is crispy and juicy. As typical the portion is huge. Not to bash on this particular joint, but overall, prices on teriyaki dishes seems to have crept up over the years. Most of the items on their menu is at least $8-9. When it comes to teriyaki there are plenty of places to choose from, and when it comes to favorites, this is the one. They give you tons of food for a decent price and it's sooooo good. The teriyaki sauce is a little on the sweeter side, just the way I like it. The gyoza taste great and the chicken teriyaki and gyoza lunch is the lunch of choice. My husband said this was some of the best yakisoba he'd ever had. He's a snob, and he mentioned it three times that he would like to go back. If it was just the yakisoba, I'd give 5 stars, but I wasn't impressed with the salad - it seemed like it had been frozen - and I think their teriyaki sauce is either you love it or you hate it. This is our go to option for teriyaki at work. Stick to the teriyaki menu and you can't go wrong! Sunny teriyaki is a great place to get a big filling lunch at a reasonable price. I frequently order the chicken & pork spicy, no rice. They have delicious homemade salad dressing which helps set them apart from the million other places around. The service here is great! Absolutely my favorite teriyaki place. I live in lynnwood and drive the extra 8 miles out of my way to come here. Portions are huge and I usually share with my gf. The staff already knows and are very nice. I love the yakisoba. Since I am a simple girl I just can't get enough of the chicken teriyaki. The salad dressing is home made and is by far my favorite part of the meal. They get pretty busy during lunch but it's wormy the wait. If you are strapped for time just call ahead and it usually only takes 10 min to make your takeout order so if you are on a 30 min break your food will be ready when you get there. The dining room is kinda small and fills up pretty fast during lunch. And they are great catering place. Their daily specials are the best deals. They are usually a 1$ less than the regular menu price and if you be me a regular they have punch cards that will give you $6 off after 11 entrees. read more

Came with 7 other people on a late Saturday night. I was initially impressed by how organized and clean the menu was. I was later blown away by the fast service and huge portion of food. I ordered the chicken katsu - probably one of the best I've had. Usually it comes slightly burnt or dried, but this katsu at Sunny T was amaze-balls. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Food came out hot for everyone as well, despite 4 other tables eating and a moderate traffic of to-go orders. 5 stars for decent price ($9 for katsu), big portions, great service, and a clean restaurant. Stopped in a random Tuesday night and the place was pretty full - a good sign! We ordered the chicken teriyaki, chicken katsu, and yakisoba. Portions were plentiful, chicken was moist and flavorful without being too salty, and the katsu was appropriately crispy. Service was quick even with customers coming in and out. As others have confirmed here, Sunny is under new management and while it seems they retained some old staff to help with the transition, clearly it hasn't helped as the quality of their food has declined, portions have been reduced, and prices have increased. I used to come here at least once a week for a few reasons: their gyoza was the best I've ever had, likely handmade with incredible flavor. Now, it appears they're buying their gyoza from the same supplier as every other teriyaki joint, and I despise their soapy aftertaste. Their katsu also used to be fantastic, lightly breaded and enormous in size. Now, they've significantly changed that menu item resulting in way too heavy breading, zero flavor, and a different and very bland katsu sauce. I really appreciated how the previous owner made food in-house; he was an interesting person to talk to and we would often chat about the challenges of running a small business. It's not easy to make things from scratch. Unfortunately, Sunny has gone the way of virtually all other completely indistinguishable teriyaki restaurants: quick and convenient but forgettable food likely all sourced from the same two suppliers. read more

The food is great, salad is crisp, chicken is sliced thin enough to cook with a bit of crisp burnt edges which adds to the delectable flavor. Their sauces are good and the service is the best I know. This used to be my favorite... I'd go out of my way pass dozens of other teriyaki places to come here. Now the food has definitely gone down hill. The first problem is - which I can live with (at least for to go orders) - is the lettuce is not cut into bite sized pieces. You're given a fork and huge hunks of lettuce. The 2nd problem and this is the real reason for the poor rating... The chicken katsu is now gross. I've ordered it twice in the past 2 weeks and if I were to guess I'd say it was fried in the morning and then re-fried to order. It is over-cooked, seriously crunchy and really oily. Quality or quantity? You don't need to choose, Quality AND Quantity is the answer. The place is very clean and sanitary with never before seen menu arrangement. Unlike other places with menu behind the counter, the menu here is everywhere! Food is made quick with extremely friendly service, but during lunch or dinner they are busy, so it's always better to call ahead. Both the owner couple and workers are friendly and always smiling. Price is average BUT more food is a great plus. Trust me and try them if you are around, you'll be satisfied. And while you are there, definitely try Spicy Chicken and Mushroom, Chicken Katsu, and Gyoza made to perfection. read more

Busy but friendly and delicious. I always call in to pick up and take home. We've been going here for maybe 10 years or so now and it never gets old. They are so friendly. I usually see the wife who is so sweet and friendly at the register but I went on a weekend once and the husband was a funny man. Their food is rich in flavor and give out generous portions. Their salad dressing is so amazing- it's the first thing I eat when I order teryaki. My son loves it, I love it, my whole family loves it. Their chicken is well cooked, never under or over and their rice is so moist and fluffy. They also have a punch card when you buy 10 entrees you get your last one at a discount or free, I don't remember but either way they are worth it. Will be back! read more

This place is an ok teriyaki place, but they could use more items, including more vegetarian items, and miso soup. I also think they should be more flexible about how their curry can be fixed, take for example being able to get the curry with salmon instead of only being able to get it with chicken. I suppose their items are good, but not as good as something you could get across the street at Himitsu Teriyaki. I think I'd chose this place over Yummy Teriyaki if Himitsu Teriyaki was closed, but until then I'll continue to go to Himitsu Teriyaki. read more

Went in yesterday and ordered to-go. Huge selection of entrees to choose from. The service was friendly but we did have to wait a while to get our food because there were a couple of large orders ahead of us. No problem. The chicken teriyaki was pretty good, though not good enough to compare to my favorite teriyaki place near my old apartment. I would come here again if I happen to be in the area and want teriyaki, but I probably won't be going out of my way for Sunny Teriyaki anytime soon. read more
